Through the years, Viking Pump Canada has had different ownership - but was ultimately reacquired by Viking Pump in 1992. Now with a strong focus on high quality distribution and service, Viking Pump Canada is accelerating growth for the entire Viking Pump business.
Located in Windsor, Ontario, Canada - just across the river from Detroit, Michigan - Viking Pump Canada has operated out of their 36,000 sq/ft facility since 1935. This building houses all aspects of the business including: customer support, accounting, engineering, compliance, supply chain, sales, shipping and receiving, and assembly.
The Canada team supports customers throughout the selection and ordering process. This begins with the sales, customer support and applications teams. These teams collaborate to select, size, and quote the ideal solution for each customer's needs. The engineering team creates models to the specific process requirements and specifications.
When designs are finalized, the order is then sent for production. Some products are assembled from stock components off the shelf, while other pumps are shipped from the US headquarters. Viking Pump Canada keeps an inventory of $1 million worth of Viking Pump parts and pumps, as well as other brands, in order to serve customers as quickly as possible.
If needed, pumps then receive a coat of Viking Pump blue paint - or a custom paint depending on customer requirements.
After paint, pumps that will be shipped as part of a unit will be fitted with a base, coupling, and any drive equipment. Units are then aligned to ensure optimal performance.
Completed pumps and units are then ready to be shipped to customers all over Canada. The shipping team securely packages each product so that it will arrive safely at its destination.
