About TMG:
- TMG podcast is a podcast where comedians Cody Ko and Noel Miller talk to each other (it's a podcast).
to the ppl in cmmts correcting them for saying Coodie instead of Cudi, they’re not talking about Kid Cudi they’re pronouncing it right, it’s Coodie the film director.
thank you for this comment, I was so confused thinking they were referring to Cudi
And a month from now they'll be talking about the Will Smith slap.
Seriously. Lol
LMAO
They're always on top of the news! this is such a hot story rn, I didn't completely forget about it already
I think Kanye fell apart when his mom passed. Not having her around to give him guidance or her ear to listen to him messed with his head even more. That's my opinion, but that doesn't give him the right to go around thinking he's better than everybody and treat people like shit. I watched the whole documentary and Cody's right watching his illness progress was crazy. The beginning of the documentary took me back. I'm near Kanye's age and I'm near the Chicago area talk about nostalgia man. But yeah that man is fighting a lot of demons.
I agree all the way through👏 very well put. It very much seems to me like he’s going through a significant manic episode, that is being fuelled, as well as extended by the “Yes-men” that he’s surrounded himself with alongside his cult-like fan group.
*edit* : I love the music, and I will forever embrace Kanye’s artistic genius. However, I think it’s a disservice to him (via his close circle of people) to not have this type of conversation with him.
@@marcusash7 Aww thank you, I can say the same to you. I agree especially the "yes men"and ohh my...... let's not get started on his die hard fans 🤦♀️
I'll always love his music too and respect him as an artist but sometimes he takes it too far and yes, that's the sad part because it seems like he won't listen to anyone.
From the documentary it seemed his mother was the one that constantly gave him the positive affirmations and confidence and when she left he had to fill that void with his self.
Was coming to the comments to see if this was being mentioned!
Personally, as an outside viewer of all this-I agree that when his Mom passed that's when things just...changed.
A few years back I lost my Auntie who was like a second Mom and the ways in which I changed, just some regular ass person is weird to look back on. Imagining what I could've done, who I could've become if I was going through all of that but in the public eye, under all that scrutiny, stagged under my successes, and reminded of all my failures.
Not an excuse. And not forgetting that he has a legitimate mental illness. Just in a really messed up way, it all makes sense, I guess? The progression to where he is today makes an amount of sense.
Everyone will lose their parents
Whoever edits these highlights is a hero
They got up and worked!
@@coachjono4729 lmfao 😂
Thank you dude

People need to understand that when you’re in the throes of mental illness, there is a chemical imbalance in your brain. You CANNOT just choose to snap out it and start acting “normal”. It takes a LOT of support, guidance, possibly medication, etc to get a handle on it.
Coming from someone who has a degree in psychology and has been in therapy for 3/4 of their life, mental illness is certainly an explanation for many of his actions. But it is in no way an excuse. Everyone, no matter the extent of their disorder, is responsible for their actions. Of course he cannot just wake up one day and choose to change in an instant; it takes work. But you have to be willing to put in that work if your actions are hurting those around you
yes but you have to WANT to get better and kanye has made it clear he doesn't think there's anything wrong with him and he has no intention of seeking help
💯 it doesn’t excuse it but it does explain it
Imagine never having to worry about money ever in your entire life
She had her career handed to her and that's not disputable, but the success of it required her hand work and skilled decision making. Everything she said was bullshit though
Try when you born in the ghetto and real poor… c’mon now .., easy to work when you have babysitters, cleaning ladies and much more !
Nah I watched the video she didn't do any hand work in it
Why does it matter
I had similar feelings about Coodie's direction, he was absolutely committed to his footage and his friendship.
The fact that she didn’t even do anything in the tape Ray J did all the work 💀😂
bro... 🤣🤣🤣
idk bro there was some decent neck work there...
I agree, his friend deserves more credit than anyone else for all the time that he dedicated to Kanye.
What Kanye did was completely unacceptable. . . But that's how some friends are.
@Mekehl he's a legend, but like every human being he committed some horrible mistakes in the past.
@Mekehl how does it feel that your attitude contributes to his mental decline
What did he do?
@@benitabathel5560 watch the video
wait so is noel saying that the producers had to take a small sample from Kanye and turn it into a whole track? if so, that sounds like the most awful, ambiguous assignment ever
That's how many creative people work. Someone plants a seed, a melody, a hook, an idea, and someone else builds on top of it. I do not think he hums a tune and expects them to have a full track when he returns, but I think he expects them to have different ideas for beats that he can continue to work on.
@@pookeyblow I agree that it seems like Kanye doesn't usually leave them entirely hanging but I think the OP has a point that he gives way less and expects way more than most artists, but also Kanye is very critical and probably really gives them a run for their money and shuts down most creative decisions until he finds the perfect one. Honestly whatever he's doing is working because his style is so fire, but man i'm sure it is a little extra painful for those involved sometimes.
@@blub3rry116 I mean just look into the production of his "All of the lights" song. When it comes to music, that's when kanye's at his most serious. (and probably coherent).
Can’t wait till they talk about The Slap
the people behind the scenes don’t get enough credit. few artists handle both the writing and production themselves but regardless the team behind you matters so much. i feel bad for those who have spent so many years behind the scenes of someone’s fame leading them there, but never receiving any credit
i was expecting him to talk abt kanye and kim and i dont know any of the deep seated lore behind the feud so this was just nonsense to me man.
yea they suddenly talked abt the documentary n his music
The editor is a national treasure
No one talking bout Noel's epic voice crack @4:30
probably because it wasn't really that noticeable and also the obsession people have with pointing out voice cracks is weird, i'll never understand it.
@@blub3rry116 this is noels side account
kanye did pay coodie , kanye had money from his move to NY onwards. He paid 50k just to make through the wire on his own back. He was definitely earning enough to help coodie out also coodie didn't give up his life at all. It was 7.5 hours of footage coodie was a comedian performing gigs the whole way through the making.
Yes he had major beat placements early on. That would earn him a production fee and songwriting publishing royalties every time it got played.
literally my fav pod
Cody and Noel saying Coodi while talking serious is so funny to me😂
It’s someone’s name
@@benmgoldberg more like stage name they picked
that’s his name, it’s not kid cudi it’s Coodie the movie director
@@ElPresidenteMargz ok…? If he wants to be called Coodie then that’s his name why do we need to specify? You think prince was born prince? Travis’ last name isn’t even Scott… you think Tyler’s last name is the creator? No. It’s what they call themselves and what everyone knows them as.
@@benmgoldberg ok I totally agree but prince was born prince lol
Kanye needs a team of Dr.s not a team of yes men.
Kanye’s music changed my life, hes fighting demons and it’s really tough to see
This feels so god damn like dystopian.
hovering over the video to find out if it’s bonus content or not
Is it a bonus? Cause I didn't remember seeing this before
Noel that mumbling thing that Kanye does is not unique to him. Lots of artists start with a nonsensical melody and build from there or freestyle. Had a chance to see H.E.R. lay a track and she literally starts with three chords on a guitar
What’s the music at the beginning?
Omg Ray J???? That edit was the death of me
😆😂
Noel’s sitting is messing up my brain
Crossing his legs?
have you never seen people sitting before?
@@DOMDOTCOM518 some ppl think crossing ur legs is uncomfortable maybe he’s one of them
I feel so bad for Kim and how Kanye is treating her. Trevor Noah had a good segment on it.
lol no need to feel bad.. she's livin with her late night snack with tons of security in a gated mansion..
Noel looks like Thanoses son
You man are behind, the Kim and Kanye arc is played, we are into the Will and Chris arc.
What show are they talking about?
Netflix show about Kanye, don't the title though
It’s called Jeen-Yuhs.
They are pronouncing his name right it's not kid cudi it's the guy who made the documentary
I'm laughing because at leasy one persin watched this and googled "Kim K getting slammed on twitter" into Google and got something WAY different than what they were expecting.
You didn’t have to click bait this title
I think they do work but the success of their work was kind of handed to them
kanye had a car accident, hit his head and probably lost a part of his brain. His music even completely changed after that
did yall really just say they work!?
Regardless of how you feel about Kim or the Kardashians… imagine being married to a man like that? Trying to raise kids (and all the stability and monotony that requires). It would be a bipolar relationship.
The highs would be so glorious, the perks would be incredible, when it’s good, it would be the greatest love known to mankind.
But when it’s bad… it would be heartbreaking, gut-wrenching, the lowest of low.
It would be incredible hard. How do you explain that to little kids?
NAW NOT COOOOODIIEEEE 💀💀💀💀
They talking about the director man
No idea who they were talking about the entire time. Barely mentioned kanye
What’s wrong with Kanye’s creative process 😂 Noel described an office how a creative genius creates some of the best art earth has ever seen
Shit take Cody strikes again :p
Change the editor
She didn’t work hard at all …, they were born rich and spoiled and privileged…. Stop 🛑 telling us “they deserve it”…. They born with millions!!! Be honest !
”Kuudy”? Fucking ”koody” 😭
Coodie is the director of the film. Nothing at all to do with Cudi
@@BertoBeats oooh! I was almost sure that they did talk about Cudi 😃 thanks for letting me know
Bruh illness and disorder is not a disease. Just sayin
are they trying to say Cudi? not coodie?
As an editor I’d expect you guys to understand how the episode was cut. It’s sad coodie wanted you to walk away sad - he cut it like Kanye is some different guy. Could’ve been a beautiful cut about achieving your dreams or hard work paying off but instead coodie got paid 30 million to make people think Ye’s a sell out
its pronounced "cuh-dee"
bro coodie is the director's name
This isnt about kid cudi
