It's hard to trust a random mechanic you've never been to before. Especially bc there are so many scammers out there. They have your car and you have to trust what they're saying is true because the consumer doesn't know a head gasket from a u joint. But the feeling of finally finding a mechanic you trust is like a basket of puppies!
Unfortunately in these days you can't trust anyone. Best thing you can do is bring the customer in the back and show them what's wrong. Makes them feel very at home.
Video a condensed inspection, upload to CZcams then send the link put this in your documentation, when they see the problem and know you document everything this drastically reduces the "ever since you" this has saved my butt more than once
Oh you're preaching to the quire. We go through this all the time. Fortunately we use tablet style digital inspections. Everything gets photos that the customer can view. So there's no disputing it really.
This is why if you cam find an honest mechanic, always do business with them. May cost more in the short run, nut will save you thousands in the long run in both people trying to kake money upselling shit you dont need, and not properly fixing shit which costs you more money later.
The thing sells itself… damn straight dude

Naw… that leak wasn’t there before they got to your shop and you know it!
💯💯💯
At YOUR shop. It’s a fact that many shops upsell and mechanics joke about it in the garage, it’s very very common
It’s ok to fire these types of customers (as long as the shop has enough business to stay profitable).
They're first problem is they bought a ecoboost.
Wrong. The problem is that they bought an Ecoboost Mustang.
It's an cyclone engine, not an ecoboost.
There's a ford 😂😂😂😂 don't buy Ford guys
