- If I had a dime for every time someone asked me "Is Pakistan safe?", or claimed in casual conversation that Pakistan is a terrorist country... Having spent over half a year travelling across Pakistan and making friends everywhere I've gone, I want to now DEBUNK some of the common misconceptions and myths surrounding Pakistan.
Let me know in the comments what other misconceptions you've come across - I'd love to talk about those in the future!

I have visited Pakistan last month, it was one of the best experience of my life. These myths are completely wrong, Pakistan is one of the best tourist destinations, gettings from 🇫🇷 France.

Many landscapes too! Ocean, Alps, Sea, Pyrénées..
But I came to the conclusion that visiting cities is useless, they all look the same and they are noisy

I am a British Pakistani and I did not visit Pakistan because of what western media portrayed Pakistan as and I was afraid of visiting Pakistan, my friends and family always informed me that the media is lying and it is nothing like that, but I did not listen to them, I then decided to visit Pakistan and check it out for myself, and I have to say I was wrong with all the negative image I had for Pakistan, I absolutely loved it people was welcoming it was safe and the views was amazing, when it was time to leave I did not want to leave, and now that I am back I have to say I miss Pakistan and it is the best country that I have ever visited.

Pakistan is as safe as if someone is visiting Egypt , Jordan or Lebanon . I go every year to Pakistan things were messed up 3 or 4 years ago but now everything is normal . The STHLM Diaries Gilgit and Baltistan is a must see. There are plenty of videos on twitter and you tube alike. Please check local weather forecasts in advance before booking. Try to avoid monsoon season. Other than that people are hospitable and the scenery is out of this world. It is quite inexpensive to travel in Pakistan employing a travel guest service is not a bad idea.

As a female solo traveller I went to Turkey and Pakistan.
My family criticised me and said it was unsafe in those places.
But Turkey and Pakistan were 2 of my favourite places and Id gladly go back to either of them
