- EA FC 25 is finally here - well, sort of. I've had the chance to get hands-on with an early preview build of the new game for the first time, but my first impressions of EA FC 25 left me with more questions than answers.
After going solo for the first time with EA FC 24, EA Sports will launch the newest instalment of the EA Sports FC game series in the next few months, EA FC 25. Players were desperate to see big gameplay updates in EA FC 24 after some underwhelming FIFA game releases, and changes were made, with HyperMotion V and PlayStyles both being added.
EA has announced that, for EA FC 25, another pillar of its gameplay innovation will be added called FC IQ. The new addition has seen tactics overhauled in EA FC 25, with the publisher claiming it will 'shake up the meta'. Well, I was able to put this to the test and get a hands-on experience of what EA FC 25's gameplay felt like.

its not buying the game that's the issue its that it has no competition pes or what ever its called is no threat to there dominance so there is no reason for them to improve
The one thing they never fix is the weird player mechanics. They never feel connected to the pitch, it feels like they are skating and it ruins the experience for me. We really need 2k games to nail fifa when they release it because it will shake ea out of their comfort zone.
One of the reasons I play efootbal...the ball in EA seems slow when crossing,ball also seems to be floating on water when you pass
You don't need 2k either trust me. That's just jumping from abuser to another. Need a fresh company that can see beyond the money. Which is a big ask but that company by seeing beyond the money ironically would make tons of it if they produced a good game.

Matching hundreds of running animations to have their feet touch the ground can take lots of effort
No wonder why they're showing barely showing gameplay at the last minute.
My problem with FIFA/FC is player movement animation. It’s not football at all. When most basic & fundamental thing is bad, nothing else matters (no licenses, no modes or graphics). Sadly it won’t be fixed with this old engine. So we will keep getting same game over and over.
I'm exactly the same mate, I just don't understand how in this day and age we don't have a football game that has realistic movement animations when you look at what other games are achieving. It's so frustrating man
Use sliders and you can make it feel more natural
I watched couple of fc25 beta gameplay and I can tell that's its not completely different but players movement and running is better with less skating stuff and CPU gameplay improved too I think with some sliders change the game will be playable again
I'm so sick of players looking like Fortnite characters and these bs cgi trailers
They look nothing like Fortnite characters unless you’re playing on a potato. The main issue with EA is a luck features and good gameplay in their game but everything else is fine.

Looks like ea's policy of making as much money with the least amount of effort is coming back to bite them. I really hope 2k can really punish them with fifa. Competition was really needed in the space
I just want a normal football game, no rush no Volta and that shit just use the budget to have better movements and mechanics

Bought FC24 and found SPFL 24 a few months later. Now, I rarely play FC24 upon discovering a free alternative that offers more than what EA and Konami can these years.

the terrible defending is an issue..each game a goal fest of ten goals at least..midfielders not tracking back or full backs is horrible..unless I hear that it has been fixed, I wont buy

sounds like they are just improving minor aspects of the game and then repackaging it as new modes etc - Volta and Rush sound like the same thing, players roles and FCIQ
They might aswell make it like Fortnite and change fc 24 to fc 25
How is the attacking ai? Are players trying to get open, making runs, coming with you as you progress the ball or is it more like the past few fifa's where they just stand still and don't do anything to help you out.
Also how did the CPU play? One of my biggest probkems with the way the CPU played against you in fc24 was how much they passed backwards. They weren't direct at all and were constantly just passing backwards and making no real intent to score. It's the only fifa game where the cpu plays like that

Player roles has been a thing for years, and never worked either. FC24 was even worse for this because you’d tell your CM to stay central or your CF and they still drifted out wide
EA themselves stopped paying billions to FIFA. So why they keep taking from us huge full price for an update? Just to pay for a star cover, which is actually from our pockets and not from EA’s pockets?! 😮
Yea cool, this FC IQ is interesting but…
It’s mind blowing how much EA, a very experienced game company, is simply not able to tackle the main issue that triggers most of their fans frustrations - the game physics (both body and ball). Once they correct this, they will have the whole world of football gaming on their hands.
According to trailer apparently EA know how football games should look, play & feel. But why working hard if people will pay 100-150 euros for effortless game.

That’s the problem of Frostbite engine. It will not change unless EA develop new engine
A few adjustments that I always ask for:
- The player movement, see PES
- The celebration should limit to how player celebrate in real life
- Skill move shall only limited to certain players with 5 star skills
At this point they should consider releasing a game with updates every 4 years. The micro transactions have made the game feel shallow for a while now I’d say the shift started around 2016. I can’t put my finger on it but something else about the game feels more chore like, the gameplay simply isn’t fun anymore.

I played the beta and I also felt like I had to slow down my gameplay which felt more realistic. I like Rush because it gives me an opportunity to play online without being responsible for my whole team.
How in the world do i find so many people in the comments of every Fifa video bashing the games (and rightfully so, bash harder) ...yet they always sell so many copies and make profits

They need the error control/pass/shoot fixing and keepers being more balanced for making saves, always the same goals conceded and everything parried kind of annoys me.
So they lied to us again. By saying new gameplay mechanics ect. What a greedy company. I really do hope they get some competition.
I can't wait to see how Fifa 25 from 2k2 will compare.

hi, what mode do you normally play? I'm a career mode player, you know THE least loved game mode by Fifa.

Career mode has a lot of changes it’s my favourite game mode too but if you go and watch some videos on career mode it has a lot of changes from FC24
I don’t even expect something from the game. I just pay for the new face scans and updated kits, when it’s offered on huge discount.

Maybe, just maybe, they managed to build a career mode where your players will attack. in FC 24, regardless of instructions and tactics, the offensive AI is a huge issue, and it feels completely random. Also, while they're at it, how about removing the whole "players turn to sludge-running baboons who have no interest in keeping or reclaiming the ball every other game" as well.

Honestly. Idk why they would change fc25 around a bunch. Considering so much was changed already going from fifa to fc. Now the pro players are getting use to it again. They are of course going to expand that. Ea makes its real money from the pro leagues and all the sponsors. And yes ut credits. I think keeping it relatively the same is a good idea. It may not be the best game but notice you don’t hear any pros ever complaining? It’s the masses. Which ea don’t really care about.

1 ea is lazy
2 they should stop making ea fc for ps4 , so they can upgrade it for newer gens

Does the CPU ever play the ball backwards?
I played FC 24 career mode for a few hours. AI team mates mostly passed forward. It destroys the game, and it`s just one of many things that is wrong with the game.
ONLY thing I really care about..can we play as Brazil?!! If not, don't want it!

How are pressing tactics? Ineffective as before or does FC IQ provide good high or mid-pressing options?
If you turn your depth up in game it helps tremendously for pressing and mid field pressing.
@@lien3Productions_ALiEn2368 It looks that way but it is not as effective as one might think in fc 24. The CPU AI will easily play through your press and you will be exposed at the back. Hence, I wanted to know whether it has improved in 25
Bro Honestly EAFC is the Best Football Game... But they try to much to be realistic.. I mean a Player will have 95 Control but miss controll the ball for no reason ant that frustrates People and i think thats the issue they are to make it too realistic instead of making it enjoyable

EA just don’t care about us. That’s why FM will still be a far better game even when they change to a new engine and become buggy this year.
I don’t care what ea do for the gameplays lol. I always change to gameplay myself in the settings to make it a realistic game. I basically but the game for new kits boots and new teams lol.

Stop buying it since 21, saw fc24 on game-pass last week, tried it for 10 min and deleted the game. I wonder how people could still pay EA for making this every year.

ALL I WANT TO KNOW BEFORE BUYING IS ABOUT THE HANDICAP, DDA, RIGGED GAMEPLAY OR SKILL BASED GAMEPLAY? When you were leading 2/3 goals, did your players perform the same? Did your defense AI opened up space on purpose? Playing with someone you re level, was it easier when losing for 3 goals? Was it easier to score at 45 and 90th minutes?? Gameplay is not bad, what messes the game its just this DDA, HANDICAP SHIII

Yes
This guy doesn't have a clue what he's talking about. Rush having normal game mechanics makes it better than volta. Volta was ruined by the stupid unrealistic skill buttons and super powers. The big issue with rush is the AI GK. This can be a problem because ai gks like to pass or roll the ball to the other teams strikers.

We did mention it in the video! It seems like a nice feature but it didn't make much of an actual impact, even after taking time to set up all the new roles.
Fifa 20 was imo the last ‘fun’ game. EA ruined ultimate team with the release of new promo cards every week.
It's always the same game that's why the pro's remains pro
