Life time ban for slapping your partner (totally inexcusable) when in your 20s and now in your 50s is criminal.
I just found out I have an A&B domestic on my record from grabbing my sons mothers wrists to keep myself from getting hit and I got denied my ltc because of this. Its ridiculous. Self defense and I get an A&B. I told my attorney at the time I wanted to do whatever I could to keep my ltc at the time. So I did what he advised me to do. I didnt get my gun or license back in time so it was sent to storage and my license was cut up. Now I cant even get it back. I'm pretty pist off right now.
Very unconstitutional.
safety > your constitution
Giving up liberty for a little safety means you will have neither.
If you beat up your spouse, you keep your gun rights? Really? The same gun owners will say things like "When you threaten my life, you give up your right to live your own."
I'm Canadian, but respect Americans' 2A and think it can serve a very real purpose in life. It's important. But many people out there really either shouldn't have a spouse, or not have a gun. One or the other, but not both.
You must choose wisely.
@@devilsoffspring5519 no, you're reading what you wish. It's the people who utilize the law to leverage their favor. A woman abuser absolutely should lose everything they hold close. Those aren't the issue. It's when your spouse calls the law and says this or that because she has been caught in a lie or cheating. You go to jail she gets to continue cheating. You lose your gun rights for life for that.
@devilsoffspring5519 CDV does not just mean spouse. It could be two brothers in a fist fight that live together. When people think they understand something and say, "ya that had to be made a law" even though it's against the constitution, we have an issue. Many are blind to what laws actually cover. Don't feel bad lol. Most cops in the US don't know what's covered by certain laws either. Shall not be infringed doesn't mean when people think it should be okay to do so. Personal beliefs mean nothing. If the constitution is the ultimate law and foundation of the nation then what happens when we do what we "think" is right and discard it? It makes the entire thing no longer matter. If the bill of rights are rights and not privileges, how can they be taken away? You should never lose anything. If you commit a crime you do your punishment. When you have fulfilled your sentence, should you be guilty your entire life? If so, what good is a sentence?
she is a lier. they will never help you go in there and fight for you're self/ we need to know how to fight for our self
Scary to allow a convicted Domestic violence perpetrated.., no(3) bc they are unpredictable in their behaviour and very unsafe to be around!
Which attorney do you recommend
Zero domestic violence charges here.
Yup.
My little brother an I got into a scrap almost 20 yrs ago. We've gotten along like best mates since. It was just a sibling spat. No biggie. But back then he and I didn't know he would have his rights taken. So when the judge asked are you guilty, my bro said yep, I punched him. No biggie right? Well now days he is a father of 5 kids, and we are much older, wiser, and we exercise our 2A. He lives in SC, and this all happened in Florida. He got his CCW permit, and then 6 months later they took from him because of the Florida charge way back then. They told him 40 yrs you have to wait. That's insane. How do we fight something like this? I wrote to Nikki Fried and she or the dept in general has ignored me, and will not respond when asking, and it's been over a year now since I've tried getting answers. I really need some advice on how to go about this.
Carry anyway
Did your brother pull any other shit in the past he never told you about? I have an older brother who thinks we're all buddy-buddy-bro and he knows JACK about my life! We get along great extremely superficially but he hasn't a CLUE who his brother is. We're so estranged he doesn't even know we're estranged!
If your own brother has other shit smears on his rap sheet and never told you, that could be what the problem is. I doubt the law would pull his 2A rights over punching you as kids, that's a bit over the top.
Especially if you have an older brother yourself, you'd know that beating the fucker when he really has it coming is a non-enumerated natural human right!
@@uptcol706 Be careful, if he has anything heavy on his rap sheet and gets busted for carrying, it could mean dropping some serious soap

I know, right? It's like, that whole time she kept yapping...I was picturing her in need of respritory help & then me coming to her rescue by providing her with critical, lifesaving, dong-to-mouth CPR.
