One of the best players but most underrated, As a caps fan, I am so cheerfull to maybe see the sabres in the playoffs and hope for the best for Jack and the buffalo organization. Maybe see them in the playoffs.
As a Sabres fan, I hope and pray they make playoffs so everyone can see how amazing he is
Honestly, i can see why people would sleep on him. His play looks quite simple. He doesn't really make flashy dekes or the like. But dang, even with a pretty simple looking playstyle, the guy's effective.

Captain Chaos 91 totally agree! Doc is the king of prime time national TV guys. Rick is my favorite local announcer, after having lived in 6 different NHL markets in my lifetime.

As a Buffalo fan I must say, this man is freakin' beast. Having a 78 point season in Team like Buffalo is simply awesome. I would be glad, and also strongly belive they will make a play-offs, and maybe he will get over 100 point season! Let's go Jackie 😎

And he did it in 68 games he also scored 82 in 72 the year before and he always is up against the best dmen, other stars have other suspect at one mates or other line s that can score that get checked, eichel doesn’t have this advantage so his points al are the more impressive
My favorite game I went too was the 2000’s night game. That’s also the only game I went to when the Sabres won.

@@MasonStoltz28 by that logic, draisaitl is better than mcdavid. Point wasn’t even point per game this year but he’s still better than eichel. And forgot to mention, Sidney Crosby is still better than eichel.

@@User-wt9jk Draisaitl only played power play with McDavid after Yamamoto got called up 20 games or so into the season.
Draisaitl is a 100 point player carrying his own line.
@@troy2192 have you ever heard of match ups in hockey? Eichel has other teams attention 100%. Draisaitl gets the Connor boost even without being on the ice at the same time

The dude would've been a 40+ goal scorer and 90+ point player this past season if it weren't for Covid, smh. The guy is definitely a top-5 player in the NHL behind McDavid, MacKinnon, Crosby, Ovechkin/who ever else you wanna throw in there...

He kind of plays more like a power forward then a playmaker imo
But his reputation as a playmaker is part of what makes him such a good power forward. You can tell that he always has the other team guessing whether he's gonna pass or do it himself. That gives him some space to use his sick mitts.

I hate seeing people say “He needs a better team” and that Buffalo doesn’t deserve him. There are so many players in NHL history that played majority of their careers on terrible teams that still had success. Look at Ray Bourque. Made it to 2 finals with Boston but the Bruins failed Bourque until they traded him to Colorado and he won the cup in 2001. Eichel can have a similar career path. Almost all his career putting up crazy stats in Buffalo and then near the end he signs or gets traded to a great team and wins a cup at like 37-40 if he doesn’t end up getting one in Buffalo. And also remember that Bourque played 21 years in Boston being “wasted” and Eichel has only played 5. Chill out
IMO he is actually better than Matthews and Draisaitl. He has a complete game and is the best player in the league in transition (statistically)

Between him and Connor mcdcvid, I think they are the only two players elite level, that carry the puck up the ice with both hands on their stick ensuring better puck control. I wonder how many more goals ovechkin could score if he learned how to properly skate and take the puck up. I know it sounds weird to say that but Connor mcdavid wouldn't be as fast if he skated with one hand on his stick and ovechkin Gets caught on every breakaway he ever had because he doesn't skate properly, he puts his arms side to side which slows you down and creates more wind drag. I think because Ovi, is 6'3 230pds that he can get low while skating incorrectly and not get knocked off the puck.

Sabres suck, their defence is awful, literally have a goalie named Linus which fits into them being recognized as the Charlie Brown of the nhl and are being used by Taylor hall, sounds fun.

Incredible player wasted in BUF.
Buffalo gon fail this man
TBH his top 5 were great plays but the first 5 plays were average.
Hell even play number 8 was just him doing normal stickhandling and shooting the puck in a shootout, if you are a star in the NHL you should know how to do this nothing special, on number 8.
I wish Eichel was on a better team, and a team in the west, for 2 reasons:
1 - So he can have a chance to succeed (I would not like to see the Sabres in the playoffs)
2 - So he would have better linemates so hockey fans can stop using "but he has worse linemates so therefore he is better than _______" (insert player's name) as an excuse.
Again Eichel is becoming a franchise level player, right now he is an elite superstar, which is fantastic to be.
