The latest batch, that I picked up recently, of Tequila Ocho blanco is neuva aqua. All the Tequila Ocho quality with less of the black pepper; really enjoying it.
Tequila Ocho is a great “bring to the party choice”. Not too expensive, and a for sure hit w/the crowd

Fortaleza not readily available and Fortaleza does poorly in blind tastings, including their videos here.

This was done with Bourbons a while back but with slightly different categories. Great idea. Arette is $23 for 750. Crazy. I think Olmeca Altos is just as available as Espolon and much better as a mixer. Also Cimarron.
Altos is a tad cheaper too, and so much better. I've sipped the Blanco and enjoyed every second of it
Fortaleza, Cascahuin, and Ocho my top 3.

Fortaleza anejo and repo are great options I'd have a hard time passing up. Tears is expensive but so unique!
Espolon used to be a go to mixer for me until the price jumped up, in addition to there being a handful of cheaper and better tequilas out there that are pretty readily available.

Nice to see Espolon get some love. It is readily available and is my go to for palomas. Fave Blanco to date: Volcan, Fave Anjeo: Codigo (limited experience, prefer blanco). Not a fan of Repos…aged just ling enough to mess up flavor but not long enough to smooth it out
Everytime I watch you guys do anything on tequila I wish I liked tequila. The earthiness always taste like ginseng to me and I can never get past it.
You guys mention it all the time but I haven't seen Arette in the Chicago suburbs... If anyone know where to get it clue me in!! Thanks!!
