Hi, my name is Merrill Kazanjian. New York City is an amazing place to go metal detecting. We have lots of parks, colonial history and great beaches for beach detecting. I have gone to all five boroughs of New York City To Metal Detect and beyond. I also currently own 19 metal detectors. I want to have the best and I want to help you choose the best as well. Nice results. I just got my first metal detector 1 month ago. I been digging everything so I don't miss anything, but not once I have pulled as many items as you did here. I been detecting 4 times a week, 8-12hrs each day, it's exhausting, but I love it. Best thing I found so far was a gold neckless, a titanium ring and silver or stainless steel ring. Loving this new venture, thanks for all the info, learning a lot.

Merrill, Rob here from Flthunder. I've been a subscriber, but, honestly, haven't taken the time to "delve" into your 240lb brain full of MD knowledge yet, but I did today buddy!!!
I am a little under the weather from getting a cold from my MIL, so after my honey-do's were over, the gf gave me rest time and I marathoned a few of your videos. What an enjoyable time this was!!!!
Dude, you had me rolling on the floor on this video. LOVE your dry sense of humor and your comments on the screen!!! And, also respect how you put your knowledge of detecting your area into your videos, some detectorists don't give up helpful info. I am mainly an old properties hunter (well, that's kind of relative down here on the West Coast of Florida. Old here means pre-1920. If we get an 1890's property to do you'd think we went to heaven!) My digging partner Dalton and I try to find old coins and relics from our permissions. BUT, with getting a Nox800 I am starting to learn water hunting. Just got my huge COOB scoop off Amazon, and my first trip with it into the Gulf on beautiful Clearwater Beach resulted in a water leak and one fried Nox. BUT-they had a new one to me in 8 days and I'll do some scuba silicone extra protection before my next water venture. Did get a chance to hunt Daytona Beach last month with I DIG DAYTONA, and he taught me so much, including the coin line and the spiral out as you showed.
Just wanted to let you know, REALLY enjoyed the video!!! Your clad goals are even more loftier than mine, never thought of the stock market angle, more of turning it into silver stacking.
I did a weeklong series called "DIG TO EAT" where I could only eat with the clad I found detecting for one week. People thought I'd be eating Ramon noodles all week (I did a little) but I ate very well.
AND....most days my clad intake wasn't what you pull in. Keep it up man, learning more every video.
    Rob
ps- your commenter below is mostly right. That item you thought was a skeleton keyhole is a MAN's sock garter clip, turn of the century, for the tall knee-high socks they wore back then. Found the exact one here on a 1900's property. At the flat end it may have writing on it with the manufacturer's name on it. Good find.

Field "2" is my favorite mode on the Equinox 600. At 17:30 it would have been interesting to see whether a higher F2 setting worked better on that Corona cap. It seems to fail at extreme depth.
If you are going to make that $1,000 goal, you are going to have to push hard, cold/inclement weather, holidays, and work will get in your way late in the year. In the deep south, this is our prime detecting season, we just have to avoid being shot by hunters! Good luck Merrill!

Those metal tags here are "crematory"tags. By law the crematory has to put them in the urn with the ashes. Most people don't know that they're even in the urn and they do to the beach to sprinkle the ashes and the metal tags get spilled along with the remains. I found one in the creek by my house metal detecting. Guess what else I found...yep..quarter..
