      Hello, I have the same one, but it heats up too much and its fans make loud noises. One day it turned off and on and it started updating the bios. Everything is strange, it's sad for me.

    I was wondering if we could swap the display hinges so that when we open the screen, it will be positioned over the fan's heat exhaust, similar to how the new model is designed.

    Old post, but can you tell me if you can change keyboard only taking out battery and flex conector?. Is there any screw for Keyboard or just apply pressure=. Thanks in advance from Europe

      The screws are captive in the bottom cover.. not sure how you lost them? you'll need to buy a new bottom cover with the captive screws included.

    I've had this laptop for all of 3 weeks when I moved countries. The gpu fan needs replacement and they made it alot harder. When I take off those cooling pipes am I going to have to put thermal past back on them for the cpu and gpu?

    So did you do any upgrades?
    Looks like you can change thermal paste for one of the chips to liquid metal.
    if you have the 1TB 2230 nvme then there isn't really any upgrades currently.

    Hi, is it recommended that we open up the laptop to clean the fans? My X13 flow gets quite hot under even light work loads.

      All laptops get hot under relatively light workloads. They are really limited by their cooling capacity.
      A laptop stand will help with performance, but the temps will still jump to the same value - you'll just have less throttling.

    How do you put the battery connector back into place? I'm having trouble sliding the metal piece back to secure the battery connector.

      Happened to me too. In case anyone has the same problem and finds this video. The battery connector has to be pressed down until it clicks into place. Only then you can slide the metal clip over to secure it

    my CPU temps have progressively gotten worse.. thermal throttles a lot now. But it's liquid metal? Surely it does not need to be re-applied and doesn't need to be upgraded? The fan seems fine, i tried cleaning inside but it didn't do much..

    It is not clearly seen from the video what parts of the laptop are are metal? I can see a magnesium "roll cage" under the palmrest, does it extend all the way up to the upper edge of the base or does it end halfway under keyboard? Btw, is the base plate (the one that yoi removed first, made of metal?

      In theory? Yes. In practice? Not really. It's physically possible, but you're more than likely to botch it up, not to mention that finding correct chips would be next to impossible to begin with.

    I only wish that they would stop soldering one stick of RAM and liquid metal. Liquid metal is nice but it can be risky to replace.

      No, it will not fit. The screw hole will be on the way, and will be kinda troublesome to lock somehow the bigger module into the motherboard. :S

    Can you tell us how can we change the thermal paste? I am facing a lot of heat issue in my laptop and thermal paste replacement looks like a solution to me

      It's not a thermal paste issue.. The CPUs have liquid metal thermal "paste". Liquid metal does not degrade or dry out over time.
      Your issue is simply the fact that it's a laptop with a relatively high power CPU.. The temp will almost instantly jump to 80-85degrees as soon as it's under any load.

      ​@@ryanokeefe12This also explains why every time I try to overlock the external 3080 GPU via armory create and start any type of game, it immediately crushes....????Unfortunately I can no longer play warzone well at 1080p even in turbo mode....😢

      @@Filippo9990 1080p is only the resolution.. The graphics settings will impact the frame rate drastically.

      @@ryanokeefe12 I have always used settings seen on CZcams to increase FPS from famous call of duty players... But even in old games like Assassin's Creed Origins at low settings, everything stutters, which makes me prefer playing on PS5...🤦🏻‍♂️

      @@Filippo9990 "famous" players settings are not laptop GPUs and not the same setup as yours. Tune your own settings.

      I know its a year later haha, but nvidia control panel is limited because the display isn't connected to the nvidia gpu but to the integrated amd one. biggest regret ever was buying this piece of shit 2 years ago. Never experienced so many problems with a fucking laptop! pc in my life.
