- When I find a project car, I needed a trailer to haul cars home. I found a cheap trailer that was converted from a utility trailer to a car hauler. The real problem is, it wasn't done correctly and I have my work cut out for me.

I've been needing a trailer for a long time, but there never seems to be money for a useful piece of equipment...but always money for a rusty old car! Lol
I feel your pain with the switch over to stick welding from MIG...and yes, wet rods don't work well.
So true. I won't hesitate to buy an old car but can't seem to let go of money for tools I need to work on them.. I think we have a problem.. lol
next time you need to remove and re install the boards bow the boards up in the center and one end will come loose and then If you lay the boards on the trailer with one end where it goes and bow the board up in the middle of it you can have someone push the loose end down where it goes and then drop the center of the board down to lock it in place..
I will be taking them off again soon to do some more work on it so that will come in handy. Thanks
You need tomturn the heat up on the arc. Then strike like a match dont believe that being new to stick that your gonna strike a arc by short pops it takes time and being used to the welder to.pop annarc in one spot. Try striking the arc loke a match. Flux core is perfectly fine to use to do this ... the union in kc is using flux core for structural welding now. So that should tell ya how strong they are. Ive been welding since i was a boy literally. First weld was 8 years old and tonmy knowledge its still holding. Lol. Your doin fine its just takes time...but sofar its looking good...
