    Amazing video! We really loved it! It definitely looks like it was worth the price! And the 🌈 in the waterfall was wow! Giorgio was scared and had vertigo just watching those hanging bridges 😜 Great choice of Matt to not wear flip flops! 👏

    Great choice to avoid the big tours, it looks like a really nice trail. The bridges do look really fun, but the trail down to the waterfall looks like a real highlight! Loved the shots of the leaf cutter ants too.

    • @Hungry_Voyager
      @Hungry_Voyager  Před 4 lety

      Yes the waterfall was a little oasis, I think it might lose some of its charm in a big organised group! The leaf cutter ants are absolute rockstars, we can't help but shoehorn some footage of them into our vlogs! :) Thanks for the support.

    We're headed to La Fortuna in a couple of months, so it's great to get not just a sneak peek, but also solid advice on how to maximize the experience. I was toying with bringing my GoPro - now that's a 100% sure thing! Thanks for sharing!

    We did a private guided tour through the park and our guide showed us the camouflaged frogs. They are amazing and you’re right- we’d never find them ourselves!

    The trail looks so peaceful! You took a good decision not to join a group. I would probably would be one of those people who would go back from the bridge, as I am afraid of heights and get vertigo if I look down. :) The third bridge does look particularly scary.

      It's bitter sweet if you have a feat of heights! The views are stunning but the wobble in the bridges can be a bit much!! Thanks for the support :)

    going on a tour is really good if youre more interested on watching a few more wildlife (like the guy who showed you the frogs you admit you didnot see) and knowing more details like what birds eat, their names, etc, theres also lot of trees with amazing things to see you probably didnot notice so it actually depends on what u want at that moment... LOVE FROM COSTA RICA nice video :-)

    • @Hungry_Voyager
      @Hungry_Voyager  Před 2 lety

      Yes, we realized it esspecially after exploring the Hanging Bridges Park. We definitely recommend hiring a guide at least once for anyone that travels to Costa Rica. Another guide pointed out 3 owls hidden on a tree which were impossible to see from the trail without some help. Beautiful country!

    A sunny day, finally!! It looks like you guys made the right choice to skip the guided tour. The gardens look like a great place for kids to run around. (4:44) I love that tree! The drunken bridge was awesome. (8:38) Is that your DSLR? I'm sure I would help support the Christmas party! 😆

      Ah yes the gardens would be a perfect place to grab one of the picnic tables and let the kids run wild :) Yes that footage is from our old Canon DSLR (could probably do with an upgrade) Thanks for the support :)

    Bug hotel, that's cool. We prefer to have the trail mostly to ourselves, though it is fun to meet people along the way. Frogs, neat! Reminds us of Redwood trees. Pretty waterfall! Impressive ants carrying those leaf chunks! Is it $26 per person or for the both of you?

    • @Hungry_Voyager
      @Hungry_Voyager  Před 4 lety +1

      Yes the peaceful trail is best explored in a smaller group if possible we feel! It was 26 dollars per person but the trail really is built up and down the rainforest slopes and is maintained really well so whilst a bit expensive it is an amazing experience! :)

    Hi, I have an upcoming trip with family. Did you guys prefer this park to the waterfall one also in LaFortuna? Can you tell me your very favorite activity there? I’m trying to narrow it down to two activities out of Rio Celeste, Mystico, the waterfall you visited (name slips my mind,) a wildlife float, or hot springs. So much to see!

    • @martinasartor5959
      @martinasartor5959 Před 3 lety +1

      Hello :) Ah its great you are able to travel there! La Fortuna is a beautiful place. I wouldn’t recommend La Fortuna waterfall (the one we visited), in our opinion was a little overpriced. It is a beautiful waterfall but the ticket was around 16/20$ per person and all there is is a trail down to the waterfall and river.
      We visited Baldi hot springs and was very beautiful and relaxing.
      Mystico hanging bridges is the most scenic one and definitely fun to cross all the bridges and try to spot the amazing wildlife. On the wildlife part, i must admit we regretted not hiring a guide as it can be hard to spot all the animals. One park staff pointed out 3 frogs we would have never seen and a guide (which was guiding other people) kindly help us spot two owls sleeping on a tree.
      I know there are also zip-lines which we did in Monteverde. But there should be some park in La Fortuna too. Those are definitely fun. We did the lay-down zip-lines and the tarzan swing. Terrifying but fun if you like adrenaline.
      Something else we regretted not doing was night tours in the forest. I think there are some you can do in LF. Hope this helps :) message us on mattandmarti on Instagram if you use it, we would love to see your pics!!
      enjoy Costa Rica

    Would you say Puerto Viejo was the best city so far?

    • @Hungry_Voyager
      @Hungry_Voyager  Před 4 lety

      We preferred the more central areas of La Fortuna and Monteverde while staying in Costa Rica, there is a lot more to do in these places. A month was a bit too long in Puerto Viejo but it is definitely worth visiting! :)
