My 2019 XJL Portfolio is identical to this 2012. No changes in 7 years. Love this beast.
The headlights are the main difference. Also the folding center console in the rear is different.

This video has the ability to play in 4K however if your device or connection cannot handle the full resolution then CZcams will lower the quality to match your needs.

Have to say that as a Daimler/Jaguar series 3 owner, I find this car very awkward in styling compared to my traditional Jag , by far too many gadgets and things to go wrong . With the many series 3 Jags coming back from Japan , there are many bargains of the true XJ6 to be had . This XJL has gone way down market to appeal to the mid management people whereas the true Jaguar series 3 was definately top drawer for top people .

@@MikesCarInfo No Excuse! You, and most all Americans, miss out an entire syllable! Would you pronounce the french car, Peugeot as pew-got? or a chevrolet as Shev-rol-lett?? of course not! So why not pronounce in the correct fashion in keeping with the country of the origin of the word. Jaguars are beautiful, refined and gorgeous, please respect that by at least pronouncing their name properly!

This is by far the ugliest Jag ever made. And that's saying something for a company known for unique (and appealing) designs.
The new XJ was designed by Ian Callum, who is acknowledged as the industry's top talent. When introduced the XJ won Automobile magazine's prestigious Design of the Year award. Because it looks unlike any other car, the new XJ is initially challenging. I own an old-generation XJR and was aware that to compete with the Germans, Jaguar had to make a complete departure from their 1960s-based previous design. It took me some time, including spending an hour in-person with one and taking it for a drive, but I’ve come around to the new look. It’s leading-edge and sleek and drop dead sexy. And the interior is, IMO, the best in its class. And that includes the new S Class Mercedes. I recommend you give the XJ's new look a chance to grow on you. Any design that is really new and original can initially present a challenge but if it’s valid it will expand your interpretation of beauty.
Jaguar this is a big fail not a very good looking car inside or out and do you think I would pay that much money for a car that can't even include a decent spare tire come on Jaguar I guess this year I will go with BMW Jaguar you need to fix this.

I've had a xjr and traded it for an M5. Dont get me wrong, I love my M5 but I constantly regret getting rid of it. You rarely see them, unlike the m5 which are everywhere these days. Such a good sounding engine, and it looks so much cooler in person.
