Women can nurture, teach children, encourage, sing, play music, schedule, prepare, organize, gather, welcome, encourage, make suggestions, research etc. But we cannot preach or have authority over men. Why focus on what we cannot do and not put out talents to use in other ways?

Jesus approved of a woman to be a Judge over Israel in the Old Covenant,
with the authority to judge homicide cases. To believe that Jesus would
strongly disaprove of a woman being an elder in the New Covenant,
makes no sense whatsoever. This is all Paul.
He was very much a man of his time and his pride.

@@user-iz8np3vv4i That is exegetically irresponsible....that would be the same default logic/argument used by pro abortionist/feminist who are against the biblical teachings of patriarchy. Conversely, God also chose Paul to be an apostle and appointed him to preach (Romans 1:1) You are arguing that Paul is preaching another Gospel than that of Jesus Christ (Galatian 1:8). Your argument is also the same logic used by homosexuals when they run into 1 Corinthians 5:9....they say "That's just Paul talking". We know this is not possible as holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the spirit and that the scripture is of no private interpretation (2 Peter 1:20-21). We are not to add to God's Word or take away from it; may the plagues discussed in Revelation be upon anyone who adds to the Word of God or takes from it (Revelation 22:18-19). If Paul was chosen by God to preach, this isn't "Just Paul talking". It is the Spirit of God. And the bishop is wrong, the text in Ephesians and in 1 Timothy 2 are talking about Women...whether they be married or not. You know these are the last days when Woman are preaching in the Church (Isaiah 3:12).

      PAUL
HIS FALSE, CONTRADICTORY, AND CONFUSING TEACHINGS
      (Revised December 2023 to include/add Part 13)
      INTRODUCTION
Some believe Paul was a false apostle. The scriptures
below are used as the beginning of their argument.
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,
To the saints who are at Ephesus...
-excerpt Ephesians 1 (the very beginning of the letter)
“To the angel of the church in Ephesus write:
The One who holds the seven stars in His right hand, the One who walks among the seven golden lampstands, says this:
‘I know your deeds and your labor and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil people, and you have put those who call themselves apostles to the test, and they are not, and you found them to be false;...
      -excerpt Revelation 2
I don't believe Paul was a false apostle or a false teacher.
But it's extremely close. This essay gives several examples of
      Paul teaching falsely.
(This essay will not address Paul's possible questionable
financial matters. That would go to his character, but are
      not teachings.)

Seems anytime women were used in a leadership role was because the men were out of place? Not quite sure what ‘private’ interpretation means, but the church seems to be split regarding this issue. Even though we know the devil can ‘quote’ scripture, we also know that he majors in confusion. Order is what God established, not Peter, not Paul, not the ‘pope’… and I don’t see where order means ‘inferior’. Just that the Creator made man first, then gave him instructions, then made the woman. The woman ignored the man, and the man likewise didn’t properly cover the woman. @conradbascombe, although we can agree with women not being in leadership roles in the church, we also have to be mindful that anytime the Word of God is being spoken it is taking authority, because the Word of God has the authority to seize power over all that will hear. For to usurp means to seize or take authority over and if at any time a women preaches using God's Word, then she is taking authority over those listening, because of the authority given to God's Word. (1 Peter 3:1) lets it be known that the wife or woman isn't even allowed to use the Word to win her own husband. So how is she able to preach that same Word to other men? Brother Wooden is trying to justify his doctrinal error, but the written text has no agreement with women delivering God's Word to the people. There is not one verse in scripture that has a woman preaching or teaching under the authority of her husband. Wooden is a very good minister, but no man is above erroring in the scriptures.

I suggest my short and free essay on Deborah. Men and women are perfectly equal spiritually. She was a pastor, according to the scriptures. This is how the Judges are described in Chronicles, by God.
A woman could only be given the authority by God to execute a man for his sin, if women are spiritually equal to men. A Judge could judge homicide cases according to Deuteronomy. Therefore Deborah, as a Judge, could execute a man for his sin.
A Judge was cleared to teach from scripture as he/she gave a verdict, according to Deuteronomy. Since in Judges 4, men went to Deborah to be judged, a woman could teach men, even in the Old Covenant in a public setting.

  • @Keith_Martin

This will always be a highly debated and disagreed subject until Jesus comes back. There is too many New Testament occurances where women shared the message of the Gospel. Preach just mean "to tell" to every believer have the responsibility "to tell" the message of the Gospel. The first gospel message came to a women like Bishop Wooden refered to, they came commanded to "go tell" (Preach) to the men that I'm alive. Paul's teaching dealt with the cultural issues of the times and he was preaching and being order to people who also had different worship from Idol worship where women would interupt the preaching of the gospel during worship. Paul's teaching was not to keep women totally silent. Women preachers were and big part of Paul's ministry. We get caught up in the wrong thing. How is the gospel suppose to be spread if only us men is doing the preaching, teaching, and witnessing? I have women under the ministry I pastor (under my care) from Asia, India, and Africa (risking their lives in most cases) were called by God winning souls and teaching because men are not available, not willing, or serving other Gods. Is God's not accepting there profession of salvation because it came from a women? In the Last Days (which we are in), it is all hands on deck because (like it or not) God is calling men and women to preach or "to tell" and prophesy "speak concerning the kingdom of God and unto salvation."

Praise the Lord because He has clearly revealed to you and opened up your understanding of His will.
but the argument is that a woman should be silent right. How can she be silent when she's prophesying? Jesus never prohibited a woman to speak nor treat them as unusual persons. In John 20:17, Jesus told Mary to go tell the brothers that He is ascending to my Father your Father, to my God and Your God. John 4: 17-30, you can see Jesus talking to a Samaritan woman at the well. The disciples thought it was strange, but afterwards Jesus used her to got tell others about Him. Make sure you're not condemning women as the scribes and Pharisees did in John 8:1-12. Jesus had compassion, forgave her, let the accusers know that they were not justified to destroy her, and said that He was the light of the world and everyone who follows Him shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life. He did not exclude anyone. When one repent and receive the Holy Ghost, ( promise in Joel 2:28-32) different gifts and administrations are given to the born again believers. They are used for the edification of the church and to spread the gospel of Jesus. Know who the enemy is. If the person is spreading the gospel and doing a work for the Lord, that person is not against God. In luke 9:49-50, the disciples saw others casting out demons in Jesus name that were not part of their group. Jesus said don't stop them, who ever is not against you is for you.
I was filled with the Holy in 1990 and called and commissioned by God in 1996. He told me that the odds were going to be against me because of my gender, but not to worry because no one would be able to deny the anointing that He will put on me. His word has been true. I don't get upset when people discriminate against women. As long as I know and have the assurance that God clearly spoke to me and asked me to spread His word. I do feel bad when others try and block what God has ordained by hanging on to the speech Paul had with those in the church. It has been misunderstood and misused. I agree with a lot of what Pastor Jennings speak (as well as others) about, but have concerns when it comes to women in God's ministry. I pray him and all to allow the Lord to remove the block and reveal the truth and His unending power and ability. We worship God in Spirit and in truth. Not flesh.
      Joel 2:28-32
28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
Let's not lose focus of why God gave the body of Christ gifts. Ephesians 4:11-13 tells us the titles of the ministries, and they are to edify the church. 1 Corinthians 12 shows that God has given men ( born again person) Spiritual gifts as He will, His are members of the body of Christ, that there shall be no isms or schisms, that no part is better or less than the other. Please know that the Lord is better equipped to know who to use and give His gifts to, and He has not given them for nothing.

@@SometimeAgo65 friend the Word of God has authority, and anytime it is being ministered there is an authority being administered over all who will hear. That said if a woman teaches or preaches God's Word she is usurping authority over all those under the sound of her voice, because of the authority and power given to God's Word. For it is the Word of God that possess the authority no matter who uses it, but if a woman takes that authority, then she has illegally done so, which constitutes usurping authority. Now as to all being called to evangelize do you not know that just obeying the Gospel is a form of evangelism. For the very example of one's obedience to the Gospel can cause other to rethink their own life choices without a word being spoken. As we're all called to be examples of Christ, not so much in speech, but in deed. Hope this helps you in your continual search and obedience to the truth.

  • @VeritybyVerse
    @VeritybyVerse Před 4 měsíci +30

Sir, you are twisting Scripture and straddling the fence to support your unbiblical stance. By your interpretation of 1 Timothy 2:9-15 to mean husbands and wives, you automatically make verse 8 mean that only husbands should pray. See how eisegesis comes back to bite you? That Greek word for "woman" in 1 Timothy 2 is goo-nay. And everywhere that Scripture intends for it to mean "a wife," the context distinguishes it as "wife". The definition and context of goo-nay in 1 Timothy 2 is CLEARLY "a woman, any woman," since in verse 8, the context and meaning of the Greek word an'-ayr, for "men" is "males".
Women are not to teach or have authority over men in the Church. Scripture is clear. Paul even repeats it in 1 Corinthians 14:34-38, and makes it clear that it is how is to be done in all the churches (1 Cor. 7:17; 14:33). And when it speaks of a woman, praying or prophesying in 1 Corinthians 11, it is not speaking of teaching or having authority over men in the church. Men and women can pray and speak God's word to people in the context of day to day life. You are conflating the two to support the decision you've made to take the world's easy route of letting an unbiblical practice take place in your assembly.

However I understand that modern religion is getting further and further from what God says. What does His Word say? To pick and choose the scriptures that you want to justify your viewpoint is wrong. I have heard some say well that was for that particular church when Paul said that, well that is just like saying when Paul said to rejoice always, or in all things be content, or to think on things that are good, true lovely…… that that was just for that church, for that time.
The Word of God is clear that a woman should not usurp authority over a man. So if you’re an apostle, pastor, etc….. are you not usurping authority over the man and that is not biblical.
This doesn’t mean that God looks at us women as less, but we weren’t created to carry the responsibility and weight of a body of believers or churches. God made man because he was created and to be able to do this.

with the authority to judge homicide cases. To believe that Jesus would
strongly disapprove of a woman being an elder in the New Covenant,
makes no sense whatsoever. This is all Paul. Even he couldn't meet
the qualifications he put forward to be an elder, so he gave himself
      the title of 'father'.
Paul wasn't a perfect teacher. That is just the reality. We should take from Paul what is acceptable and leave the rest. The remaining 11 apostles would never even consider giving themselves the title of 'father'. They knew that by doing so they would have to regard their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ as children. Which is what Paul did.
But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren.

@shannonj ~ HOW could the MASSES misunderstand what you have plainly surmised ???? That is SO CLEARLY what Scripture says: line upon line, precept upon precept. It is Not that women can't preach or do a better job, it is Simply that the assignments are different: starting with order, secondly Order, and thirdly ORDER. Questioning or doubting what God has Already set forth is the enemy’s [trade]mark. For me, and in my opinion, i will stick to the written text. Working in the kingdom is a privilege, and i don't need a title to share the Word with another person, male or female. But pastoring ~ being a woman, i am not the husband of one wife. Being an apostle, i am Not a man. Servant yes, helper👀 yes. Scripture is clear. Thank you for your post! You need to share your response 👏

A woman could only be given the authority by God to execute a man for his sin, if women are spiritually equal to men. A Judge could judge homicide cases according to Deuteronomy. Therefore Deborah, as a Judge, could execute a man for his sin.

In Galatians, the bible says that in Christ there is no man, no woman. Christ is the head of the church.
God or Jesus are the givers of gifts. So, God gifted who He wants.
In Acts 10, Peter knew that the gospel was for the Jews only and not the gentiles. But when God baptized Cornelius with the holy Spirit, he gave up his teaching.
Likewise, God has gifted many women. Who are we to misquote the bible?
Philip had daughters who were prophecizing in the book of Acts.
Jesus in Ephesians gave to the church: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers.
Many denominations do not obey the church organization as Jesus purposed, but have their own doctrine.
    Study these women:
    1- kathryn kuhlman
    2- Aimee Semple mcpherson
    3- Maria Woodworth-Etter
Was is God using them or the devil?
Gal 3: 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if you are Christ's, then are you Abraham's descendants, and heirs according to the promise.
Acts 21: 8 And the next day we that were of Paul's company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven; and abode with him.

(Acts 2:17) has nothing to do with your son and your daughters audibly speaking God's Word, but this prophesying mentioned in (Acts 2:17) is a reference to reading the scriptures. For (Revelation 1:3) lets us know that prophecy isn't just done by audible speaking, but prophecy can be done by one reading the text. We teach that when your sons and daughters read the scriptures that is equal to them prophesying unto themselves, yet they need not be heard by others while prophesying. (1 Samuel 1:13) declared that Hannah spoke in her heart and only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard, yet she was praying without sound. Prophesying has more than one application and women aren't given to audible prophesying as men are. As much as we enjoy brother Wooden message, we have to scripturally disagree with him placing women in roles that God never ordained. For there is not one verse of scripture that lends itself to a woman preaching and teaching God's people. Brother Wooden can't be allowed to change the meaning of words to unjustly put women in unbiblical positions. The word silent can't be changed to not mean without sound. For if a woman teaches in the church, she has already attempted to usurp authority over the congregation, because the Word of God has the power to seize the authority over all. So, anytime the Word of God is being ministered by a woman she is illegally operating in God's house by attempting to usurp the power and authority of God Word over the hearer. Yet (1 Peter 3:1) makes clear that the wife which is a woman isn't able to use the authority of the Word to win her own husband, so how is she legally able to win others with that Word? For as it is written there is a way that seem right, and obedience is better than sacrifice. For many are on the seem right path, but obedience is the only sacrifice that God will justify.

What in the world are you talking about? Joel 2:28-32 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,...
God revealed to Moses and other prophets that he would reveal his thoughts ( word ) thru visions and dreams. Those revelations would be spoken vocally by the chosen to those it is directed to. The messages would re-confirm previous written scriptures or as new revelations ( future and present ). Since the church era would begin in Acts, the outpouring spoken of by Joel would take root.
Now the pastoral gifts / callings are distinct and separate from the act of prophecy, that is a targeted direct brief ( not a sermon ) vocal outpour.
Women are not called or chosen to preach , albeit, the holy spirit can appear to them for the express divine purpose of God's use to prophecy.

@@soundjudgement3586, first let us address your scholarly uninformed church coming into existence theory. At no place in the Holy text is there a suggestion that the church started with the book of Acts. Friend it is your former teachings that have you in divine error. The word church is simply defined as the gathering of the people or to say the CONGREGATION with lends itself to being God's collective people. For there was always a gathering of God's people which means that the church existed before the book of Acts existed. The book of Acts in (Acts 7:38) confirms this fact as well by stating that there was a church in the wilderness. For as long as there has been a people willing to serve God there has been a gathering of his people or to say church.

Great. Now let's update you on " progressive revelation". Moses foretelling per Acts 7:38 was of Jesus Christ. The word " church" itself is not written in the OT. The Disciples now are speaking/ referencing from the Greek lingo ( dialect ). The OT reflected types and shadows of things to come. Matthew 16:18, Jesus tells Peter " upon this rock " ( the rock was Peter's faith ) I, will build my church. So, the inference is the foundation for the church would exclusively be believing that Jesus is the Son of God sent by God to save men from their sins ( remit ). Jesus spoke Aramaic and possibly Greek. This one church ( ingathering of Baptized Believers) per 1Corinthians 3:11 , for other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, Jesus Christ. If you desire to correlate church to the OT, you could use Leviticus 8:3, And gather thou all the congregation ... Albeit, for clarity - let's focus on induction ( specific to general ) over deduction ( general to specific ) for understanding the real emphasis of the church and it's beginning. Lastly, the church of Jesus Christ began in Acts Chapter 2..

@@soundjudgement3586, friend what verse of scripture uses the term in which you have chosen to use by placing phrases together that have no scriptural basis? One can't read anywhere about a church beginning in (Act 2) or any place else. You friend have made up in your mind to be right even when you have been proven to be wrong. The church in the wilderness mentioned in (Acts 7:38) is a reference to the gathering of God's people called the former house. Friend the Greek dialect doesn't change what was meant it was just the way in which they expressed the word congregation in their language. No matter what dialect is used the word church simply means the congregation or the gathering of the people. @@oo1670 I agree about the role of a Man, but even if a Woman is a pastor her chief advisor IF she's married should be her Husband according to Scriptural protocol, the Scripture declares FIRST Comes the Natural THEN the spiritual. This can happen ONLY if the Husband is a man of GOD, a SPIRIT filled believer, we're not in HEAVEN yet therefore the Order of Devine headship authority doesn't change because of spiritual gifts. Apostle Paul keeps with the Devine appointment of the head of a Family on Earth. BUT no Earthly head= the male in a married covenant without his body,=the female. The Authority is in the Head but GOD created the body to respond and ASSIST in carrying out the orders given by the head. No Denomination is Authorized to re- write Devine Order of the Scriptures regardless of the times or the age even though Daniel prophesied the future of knowledge increasing. This helps to understand Why( Satan) has introduced Transgenderism.

The only way to justify women preachers in the pulpit is to twist the word “silence” into having a different meaning than it actually has.
    Meaning of Silence is
1828 Dictionary is To oblige to hold the peace; to restrain from noise or speaking.
Miriam Webster Dictionary is forbearance from speech or noise : muteness
Strong's Concordance - desistance from bustle or language: - quietness, silence.
These are the meanings the church used for the last 2000 years or so.
    Read Revelation 22:18-19

I agree with your comments, my take is why debate when you know the truth and you know those whose names are written above and if you're wise and have been transformed to the image of the Son, then there's no need to waste your valuable on loaned time in matters that the Word clearly defines as not the ways of God. Just be positive and make sure you make the difference between the Holy and the unholy, the clean and the unclean the just and the unjust.

"Usurp" isn't in the Greek. The Greek doesn't mean to take for yourself. Women can teach and preach to other women and children.

The almighty God NEVER APPOINTMENTED WOMEN to PREACH. As a woman,, (WOMEN OUGHT TO KNOW THEIR PLACE). This is the TRUTH. It's BIBLICAL.

Women, if God has called you to preach, please preach the word and make your calling and election sure. Jesus is soon to come, he is using those that are willing to be used. Let God be true and every man a liar. This Bishop knows the word. Also whatever/whoever tries to hinder what God has called will have to answer to Him, so be careful.

God ain’t calling a woman to disobey his word. Every woman “preacher” twists the Word of God because the Holy Spirit would NEVER disagree with himself and send a woman to preach. Not one time.

Why change the meaning of what words mean pastor. If the Holy Bible said silence that means prohibited from speaking and prophecy does not mean to preach. It means to predict or tell the future. I believe God used the words he wanted to make his point to us.🙏🏽
