I was pretty excited to see a giant yellow pumpkin! You should definitely add Naoshima to your next Japan trip!
I just bombed that island on Google reviews with some art of my own...Well not exactly my own ......Naoshima used to be a shipping place from memory... Then Mitsubishi had other ideas...show case lost art of Japan...I lived in Japan in the early 70s for a while...I was lucky enough to have Geisha as baby siters ...so I thought I might show Naoshima some of japan's lost art...Jack Raphael...Google reviews...thanks for the upload...
two words. LEMON PANTS! Great video
so cool!!!!!! wow I love japan
so cool looks very chill, I guess you can stay on the island? I want to see the Tadao ando part of this isalnd. def on the list
Yeah, there are a few guesthouses, so you can definitely stay on the island. I wish we had so we had more time. It was a great little island!
Hi! The train from Okayama to Naoshima is the Uno line right? It's a direct train or you have to change train in the middle of the way. Thanks!
We took the public transit rather than a train. And yeah we had to change around Chayamachi station! I think the train you have to change trains at some point as well.
are there transportation (public buses ... ) to take you to the different art installation sites if biking is not an option. Did you stay the nite and if so recommend where you stayed?
I didn't stay the night unfortunately! I wish I did. I don't recall seeing any buses while I was biking around.
Hi! What time of the year were you guys there?
I was there around March!
do you need to book the ferrry in advance?
I didn't, but I would check the schedule and make sure you are there with enough time to buy the ticket.
ok thanks!@@LivyTravels
