I just want to say that I started a course for the toefl exam and the teacher was so mean that I needed to leave the course. Then i started practicing with you. Maybe it's silly but when the video finished and you say congratulations!! i always smile :) it's exhausting to study this and you did all the videos very clear and easy to follow. I'm coming back to this video after receiving my TOEFL scores! I had around 10 days to study and I was very worried about the speaking section, especially because I was so out of practice and I have ADHD, which makes it hard to gather my thoughts on such a short time. However, today I found out that I got an overall score of 113 (R:30, L: 28, S:27, W:28), which is so much better than I could have imagined. Your videos and guidance were crucial for me, I can't thank you enough!

Hello, Josh. I recently took the Toefl test and received a score of 109/120. (R: 23, L: 29, S:30, W: 27). Your videos and study materials were extremely beneficial in preparing for the exam. I was preparing for my test and I would always wait for the end when Josh would reappear and it would be such a friendly face and was a calming agent to my practice. He would say stuff like congratulations you've reached till the end that shows you're serious and stuff like that. I prepared from the templates that Josh had in the description and got a score of 30/30 in speaking. I didn't focused much on the other sections and didn't do very good in them but was able to get 20 above in each section which was still an accomplishment for me. So here I am thanking Josh for being such a good teacher, mentor and support system in reaching my desired score in speaking and all the other sections. Thankyou Josh you're a gem.

I took the test and this was my score:
Reading - 29
Listening - 27
Speaking - 9
Writing - 25
Overall: 90
The speaking section of the test feels like a social skill and general knowledge test, not an English-speaking test. I got questions that I wouldn't be able to answer in my own native language... But I guess I have no choice but to accept reality and take the exam again after "preparing" for the test through this channel.
You did great in Reading though! Reading in TOEFL turned out to be the most difficult for me, I scored only 19, but I need 22. So I am getting ready again:( You did great! Good luck!

Hi! Can we repeat words used in the listening, or do we have to paraphrase absolutely everything? And, is it essential to provide two personal experiences in question 1? I'm finding it difficult to fit all that information in 45 seconds. Thank you!
Don´t worry about paraphrasing; you will naturally paraphrase when you speak. As for the second question, I usually recommend two examples because you can usually add more details and vary your vocabulary, but one example is fine as well. Pick an approach that works best for you.

Hi Josh! First of all, I just wanted to thank you. I'll take the TOEFL in March and I'm so super excited about it (and unfortunately I am so nervous). Even all the anxiety I have right know, I truly want you to know that you are the best teacher ever! Literally. Thanks for everything you've done for us and I believe I will come back here after took my TOEFL and I'll thank you again.
Also I have a little issue about speaking section, I hope you can help me. So I've never take the test before but I've heard some things. Is it true that everyone in the test room will speak at the same time? It kinda looks scary for me. I just don't know how to deal with it or what am I gonna exactly do :/ I really need your advice.
Thank you.
Stay healthy! ❤️
First of all, thank you for taking the time to leave such a nice comment. As for your question, you will have to speak in a room with other people speaking at the same time. Here is a link to my video called, TOEFL Speaking is Weird (3) - How to Speak in a Noisy Room - czcams.com/video/COYc2ZUAAFw/video.html. Hope you find it useful!
Hey Josh! Thanks to you I aced the test. Just a few hours of prep before the exam with your videos, I got a 115/13.

That's an incredible score and thank you for sharing. Glad my channel helped a little but rest assured you did all the work! If it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you say the same thing at this link - sotellus.com/r/tst-prep/? It will help people on Google learn about my site, TST Prep. Thanks for taking the time and again, congratulations!

Please tell me this test. Prefer in America
The only problem I face here is that I can not carry on speaking for the full 60 seconds or sometimes even 45seconds because I run out of ideas and get confused. I start repeating stuff which I think will result in deduction of my marks :/ so what should I do to improve it?

If you need additional help, you should work with a teacher to give you consistent feedback or at least try a 30-minute speaking evaluation - tstprep.com/toefl-store/toefl-speaking-evaluation/
I think it’s better to read books using and electronic digital devices for several reason, first I personally always use my digital phone whenever I wanted to read a book because it’s much more easier to control and faster. Moreover, nowadays using books that are made from paper became an old method of reading books second, you have to go to the library in order to get some books that you want and it will Tokyo some time to return them to the library and it’s too much work in order to read a paper book this is why I personally prefer using an electronic device when I read books.
Hi Josh,
I gave my TOEFL last week, and got 105/120 (R29, L24, S25, W27).
I referred your videos on the channel and I tried to follow everything with as much accuracy as I could.
I cannot appreciate your work enough, this was the only source I referred and I got the score I needed.
Thanks and keep up the good work.
Love from Mumbai, India 🇮🇳.
Congrats! Always good to hear when someone can put this test behind them.
Hello please share me any guidance about speaking
I’m also Indian
Hi josh im so glad your videos helped me so much...i scored 100/120 ❤️ tysm
Happy to help and thanks for letting me know. This motivates me to do more!
Hi Josh. May I know that the speaking questions are completely based on the conversation or the lecture? Because it is somewhat difficult for me to write or memorize some special points in reading parts. So would it be okay if I highly focus on lecture and conversation.
Hi there and thank you for asking. Some teachers believe that it is not necessary to mention the reading and just start with listening. For me, it sounds strange to start talking about the listening without providing some context first, which is why I advise starting with a sentence about the reading to provide some context, and the rest about the listening. In the end, it's up to you, both ways will work just fine.
Hi Josh! I referred TST materials throughout my TOEFL practice. I must thank you for your videos. I was able to achieve a decent overall score on my first attempt. Really grateful to you, Keep up the good work!!
