HI!
Good Evening Mike, I'm in Denver and I follow all your Videos, you are in Georgia but you know how is the market in Colorado for Pressure Cleaning? Ej: Gas Station Cleaning.
Thank you so Much..
HUGE job and another great video Mike. Here's hoping you get the job. Let's see if the price in my head will be close to your estimate. I appreciate the transparency in your vids.
Appreciate that and thanks for watching
Iâve been binge watching your channel, Coty Yarbrough, and Aaronâs Lean & Mean channel for the past two weeks (accidentally stumbled upon yâall while researching which entry level pressure washer to get)! Awesome content and itâs inspired me to seriously think about pursuing the industry (currently in a underpaid full time job thatâs unsatisfying). Thanks for all the great information đ„đ«Ą
Love it! Good luck to you Matt!
Same here been binge watching heavy everyday for the past few weeks. Really getting anxious to get out there but im no where close to ready đ„ș
I hope yâall get that job !!!!
I recently did a white painted metal roof. Tried sh then wound up just using a casterless surface cleaner
And no more sh did great and made great time . And if I had to do it all over I would have never put down the sh. Though it was a walkable pitch. Good luck guys and be safe!
+jason champion thanks for the info - good stuff!
Wow, that's a massive job. Hopefully you get it. Good luck.
+Rick Washek MASSIVE!! Thank you Rick
Praying that you get it!
+H2O Home Improvements where are you located and Thanks for sharing and make sure to subscribe!
Good luck!! The key is to keep metal roofs wet. Don't let the SH dry or the metal can turn colors. 3% Sh should work.
+All Pro Exterior Services LLC awesome info - thanks
Iâm in! Iâm new to the pressure washing game and would love the experience/knowledge I could learn with you big guys.
+Jeffrey Ruiz sweeeeet!
good luck on the bid Mike, hope you win the bid!!
Me too - hope you thaw out soon!

Definitely do some how to on the roof process if you get it. I would like to see the cleaning of a metal roof I heard they can be tricky.
We definitely will! They can be tough and thatâs while we will bring in a lift
Bring it Scott!
+jason champion exactly
If you had to give a number! How much SH would you say a single truck crew goes through in a ânormalâ day of cleaning? 1 gallon 10 gallons even more? Thanks for all the great videos!
Hope ya get it!
Me too! Thanks
Hope you get it man. Be a good job to do. Will be a lot of ground soaking to do with those metal roofs. Lots of bragging rights afterwards though. Good luck!
+James Bass Thank you, we do too it would be a good one. Thank you for watching.
Hey Mike! Just seeing this video now. Did you end up getting the job? If so, any before and afters?
Let us know once you're on the job. That's massive. A lot to learn!
Will do, itâs a BIG ONE!
Skyler- where are you located?
@@AllAboutPressureWashing Oklahoma City area. I wish we had as much organic growth out here.
Youâve got a lot of cold out there too!
@@AllAboutPressureWashing yeah right now in the middle of record low temps. WIndchill has been around -20 something. It's been warm the past two winters.
Prevailing wave? Nice!
+Donnye Quijano what does that mean?
@@AllAboutPressureWashing thats when you do government jobs! You get better pay! đđ
What are your current rates âŠballpark âŠfor flat work per linear foot ? Iâm at .25 for walls Softwash and .65 for roofs per sq ft but havenât been able to come up with a good price to do brick walls and walkways ?
A great way to crush Q1 if you win it!
+More Than One Way truth!
Hey man you said crank up the soap for a metal roof but I hope you meant to say not much soap. More soap increases your rinse time and a metal roof youâll need to rinse. You do not want SH to sit on that longer than it needs too. I hope you score the job and definitely take video. I wish you the best.
Increase the soap to allow the SH to dwell and not run off so fast before rinsing. Thai will be a good one to film for sure! Thank you for the info- I will keep it in mind and pass it along to my guys
Wish I had my stuff together I would come help! Traveling doesnât bother us!
Next time!
How did you price it by the square ft? If so what would that cost per square foot?
How would you estimate your SH usage on a project that large?
Good luck on the bid!
+Felix 1776 thank you sir, SH usage is built into the base price of our square-foot pricing.
We do schools very often. They are prob 30% of our revenue. Kinda boring sometimes & red tape involved but worth it!
I like them when they come up!
Mr. Dean to you sir
Yes sir!
Need some advice on removing a bunch of a cobwebs, bugs ect. from eaves, fascia ect. on a big 3 story building. I have a 12v system, downstreamer, 4 gpm 4200 psi and an M5 X-jet. What should I use (lift?, equipment, chemical ratios ect.) Thanks!
+Mr. Smith a stronger mix will
Help with the Cobb webs - Not knowing the building, the substrate, how bad it is - tough to tell or offer solid recommendations. If the budget allows, get a lift.
It's white painted wood. The cobwebs are primarily in the corners consistently all the way around the building and under the front entrance. Building isn't crazy big so a lift would take a bite out of the profits. I'm thinking that my x-jet can reach the 3rd story, wasn't sure if you had any experience with an x-jet (how high it can reach with a 4 gpm machine).
Never have used an xjet
We just completed a school very similar to this. It was 147k square foot we did the metal roof, walls and all sidewalks. The booster applying soap and rinsing with the 8gpmâs made it a lot easier. If you need any assistance let me know as I wouldnât care a bit to come help out. I can bring 8gpm, boosters and gas powered roof setups
Thatâs awesome! Did you use a lift? Where are you located?
@@AllAboutPressureWashing Iâm in East Tennessee and yes we did use a lift. I had a 70â boom lift as the roof I did was crazy high and also we had a 38â scissor lift to use on the main entrance areas as their was a lot of concrete I didnât want to put that big lift on. If you send me your number or email I can send you over some pictures of the complete job.
@@AllAboutPressureWashing Ill just send you a message on Facebook
Got the pics - outstanding job
Got it!
Hey Mike, i hope you get. Love to see a vid of this job too.
+Big Rob Big Rob me too!
+Big Rob Big Rob any luck with casino?
@@AllAboutPressureWashing someone else already had the job.
Dang!!!
How do you go about figuring out your price on roof and siding jobs ?
Lots of moving parts - gas, time, chemical consumption, difficulty- Iâve made a bunch of videos on quoting and how we come up with pricing on various types of jobs - check them out and make sure to subscribe
Did you collect all the run-off? That's a lot to collect. haha. Did you also test the roof to see if its galvalume or not? I've heard people test a spot to see if the metal turns black or not.
So did you get the job?
I would like to know this being a old video đ.
what chemical mix is good to pressure wash a brick house and window seals

All about mixing chemicals
on commercial, i am curious out of 10 jobs bid against other competitors, what is your win percentage?
Kyle- maybe 25-30% winning percentage. How about you?
@@AllAboutPressureWashing i would say the same but competition in my area has lowered the bar
@@MrLittle2020 truth! I was very happy to hear that this contractor got two pressure washing/roof washing bids and we were within $1000 of each other, I was a little bit higher but I think our relationship would get us the job if the GC gets awarded the bid.
đđ
Thanks Dan!
When you get a job that big, how many gallons of product are you bringing with you to the site? Are you bringing 100 gallons of product, then going back and forth to fill it? Iâm bidding first big complex. Itâs 41 buildings, washing all the exterior walks, sidewalks and 12 roofs. I have a 100 gallon container, so figuring the logistics of it all. Thanks
+Roof Restore SA Depends on proximity to refill location- We are relatively close to everything, so not a tremendous issue. But I would probably take several 55 gallon drums to the job site if it wasnât close. And mix on site
@@AllAboutPressureWashingfigured as much. Wasnât sure if there would be an easier way. No way Iâll be able to mix 4 - 275 gallons of mix in a single container to spray. Ha. Community is 2 hours away. Will be staying on site. So will be a lot of back and forth for over 190k square feet. Thanks
Sounds like a great job
Thats a beast. I priced one similar to that, 1,700 linear feet. 35 feet high brick. 140 loading bay doors. Never been learned. With a little flat work. These bids are like riding a roller coaster for the first time. Hugely exciting and terrifying at the same time. LoL. I spend hours pouring over my time estimates and SH usage and all the possible places that will be head aches. Trying to see the trouble spots. I wish you luck my friend. What was your time estimation? And how many guys and rigs? If you dont mind me asking.
I was thinking at least two trailers, three guys. With one or maybe two lifts, I think we could knock out the roofs and building in 10 days But things seldom go according to plan so I would add an extra three days.
What would you throw at this job?
@@AllAboutPressureWashing right now Iâm a single trailer guy and hire a helper or two. So I have to base my time on that. The one I bid here I estimated 3 weeks time. A lot depends one your work load and schedule. Can you afford to take all your crew and have everyone to get it done faster? Or do you have guys already scheduled. 10 days is a long time to have guys on a single job if your have a hopping schedule.
I have bid a few in phases. Me being a single operator. And they have actually liked the idea of it. I did a high school and JR high a couple years ago. Took me about 4 solid days made $15,000.
$15k in 4 days is awesome. We can allocate everyone but I would likely throw 2 guys at just the vertical surfaces - Softwash followed by 8gpm machine to rinse. I think they could get the entire campus done in 3 days. I would have one guy doing roofs with a helper during this time and then out one of them on roofs and send the last guy to do regularly scheduled work
@@AllAboutPressureWashing got to love the juggling lol. I still find after 12 years. My estimates on time on the bigger jobs is still hard to do. I wish you the best.
Man Iâd be intimidated. What was the quote you gave them?
How did you come across this bid? Did the school reach out to you?
+dmoney6576 The general contractor is actually a roofing contractor who is a friend and asked.
Hey buddy, Iâm in South Carolina, if you get it Iâll Iove to help. Itâs worth the experience for me. Let me know, good luck. Thanks
+Jonnathan Hernandez Absolutely, I will let you know if we get it.
Ik you donât talk about money but Iâd love to know how much money they are paying u cuz thatâs a huge job brotha
+John Devin IF we get it - it would be a very nice job. Fingers Crossed
I NEED TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE FOR POWER WASHING A BIG ROOF ON A THE MONSTER CHURCH , ITS FOR A ROOF LINE DIMENSION...LINEAR FEET APPROXIMATELY 3000 HOW MUCH AM I SUPPOSE TO CHARGE. IM IN GEORGIA BY THE WAY
It's very difficult to get a quote without saying anything, without knowing anything, without understanding your business and your overhead.
I know you know but rinse that roof very very well, sh isnât friendly to those metal roofs and fasteners. Use gas roof pump will make your life easier on a job like this.
+Simply Clean Pressure Washing & Window Cleaning thank you for the input - appreciate it
Thatâs one nice pay day.
IF we get it! Lots of moving parts in this one as we are just a sub contractor

+Mikey bags thanks and good luck to you!
Just curious why you would not include the lift into your estimate you said it would be money out of your pocket if you got the lift?
+Joe Plume Yes the cost of the lift would be included in the estimate but with commercial jobs you donât get paid for 30+ days, and I prefer to keep my money in my pocket.

+Premier Perimeter Mobile Detailing very close - just out of curiosity- do you charge the same sqft. Price for roof and building? Thanks for sharing and make sure to subscribe!
@@AllAboutPressureWashing when I was doing it I didnât wash roofs. For some reason in my area business insurance will not cover roofs. So I went with detailing. As I realized I needed more research and tools. I was down streaming. I felt I wasnât efficient enough.
Downstreaming is very efficient when you donât have a significant amount of build up, you cannot down stream a roof, cannot get enough concentration of the cleaning solution on the substrate to have any impact.
@@AllAboutPressureWashing yep I learned that fast. Your channel is 1 of the 1s Iâm going to base my new set up on. Complete package. Thatâs why my company name is Premier Perimeter. Good luck.
