I took this Nanuk 30L backpack on 4 flights and used it numerous times for work and I do have to say, this is my new favorite camera backpack!

My laptop (16 inch macbook) has a case, it is very difficult to fit it in, do you think the 35 will fit my laptop better?
I don't agree with you on the laptop compartment. You are forgetting security. Your laptop probably has a lot of important files and is very expensive. I much rather have it close to my back and out of reach of any pick pockets. Way more important than the fact that it takes just a second longer at the airport.

How are they compared to Tenba bags?
its tough because tenba has more features, but this bag is better built
