This is not a fair comparison Bro. You should have put the CPL in A229 Plus & then compared. It makes a lot of difference. The pro is better, thats true but not as much as shown in your video. Pls do a comparison with either A229 pro w/o cpl vs A229 pls w/o cpl or with CPL for both. That would make for a even comparison
I understand your concern. The CPL filter was used intentionally on the Pro and not on the Plus to show the difference in glare and dashboard reflection. Not in any way to underestimate the A229 Plus capability. In the future, I will make a comparison without CPL on both.

Yes, without zoom, both plus and pro look same. And yes, with cpl, it will remove all the glare and will be clear.
I live in the Phoenix Arizona area and have heard that the pro model May overheat a lot more than the plus model. What are your thoughts? Should I just stick with the plus model to avoid overheating?
Since the Pro model is 4K, it does a lot of video processing constantly which generates heat. The Plus model being a 2K resolution has comparitively lesser processing load (but still gets warm). Now generally all dashcams heat up due to constant video recording and that's normal. So I wouldn't recommend letting go the Pro only for that one reason. The advantages of the Pro outweigh it's disadvantages, especially in this particular aspect.
You should have added the advantage of Plus's 1440 60fps vs 4k 30fps in Pro.
Also the CPL plays major role in the video quality. Both should have had CPL, then the comparison would have been fair. Otherwise people will blindly feel that Pro is way better than Plus.
Agreed. But the intention of the video is to show the capability of 4K with Starvis 2 combined with a CPL filter. Not in any way to degrade or say the A229 is bad. If that was the intent, I wouldn't have mentioned right at the beginning that A229 Pro is with CPL and shown the comparison of dashboard reflections. I will be making a separate video on the A229 Plus showing its capabilities independent of any other camera. I have started working on this video and it should come up soon.

Bro, I visited your channel to look for the video of A229 Plus with CPL filter video with 2K 60p without HDR sample, but I couldn't fine one. And I have not seen you talking about any of the parking monitoring capabilities of these cameras, can you create one with all these for A229 Plus, the difference is more than 10K in price and wanted to settle on 2K both side dash cams. Do, add hardwire kit installation in your video for this camera as well, and if it has auto cutoff feature or not to save the car's battery. Thanks

I am confused between
VIAFO A229 PRO 3 channel and
VANTRUE N5 PRO 4 channel
Both are almost same prices with starvis 2, which one would you suggest, also I am importing it from US as it is cheap here and I am coming back to India next week, would that be an issue as the unit might be different for US?

N5 is 2.7K resolution. A229 Pro is 4K. I can say for sure that the combo of 4K + Starvis2 is untouchable. Makes more sense to go with 4K than 2.7K.
Getting it from US will be cheaper, but if any warranty issue/service issue arises, it might be a problem. In case of any technical issue, if you want to claim warranty, the dealers in India might not oblige since it's not purchased here.
Secondly, in terms of updates, they vary country wise. So you might get different updates as opposed to what others with the same camera are getting in India.
Consider these aspects before buying
Thanks a lot, I think I confused between N4 pro and N5, N4 pro is the one with true 4k but anyhow I believe Viofo is a better choice.
And regarding the US import I will think more on this and decide.
@@arpitgoel1089 I am also importing a229 plus from us, I am Skipping the warranty part as there is very minimal chance of getting damaged. I am taking the risk :)
@@TadkaGaming Yeah, thats better because I checked with Viofo India as well, they are just importing the stuff from China and reselling in India, infact their customer support told that they themself will provide warranty and repair, it has nothing to do with Viofo brand itself.

229 Plus with CPL is good for the price since you get Dual Starvis2 2K cameras.

Viofo A229 plus or 70mai A810. Which is better?
Both are excellent in their price ranges. Hence it's difficult to decide between the two. If you prefer the highest available video quality for the front camera, go with A810. But if you prefer equally good performing rear camera, go with A229 Plus. The choice comes down to your preference.
Please suggest a DASH cam for my new car Honda Elevate which is yet to be delivered. Here are my requimenets:
- Budget 15k but can stretch more for good one
- Correct Placment on windsheild due to ADAS. As is taking the space behind IRVM
- Wanted 2CH Channel
- Is installtion a problem as the car has Six Airbags
Go with 70mai A810. It's the current best dual dashcam under 20K. You won't be disappointed.
Install it at one side of IRVM so as not to interfere with the car's ADAS system.
It shouldn't be problem with air bag deployment as the wire is not fixed inside, rather just pushed in into the rubber beading around the windows.

Ofcourse you can. A229 Pro is simply the best dashcam available in the market. If you have the budget, then it doesn't make sense to go with another one.

@@traveltechyoutube 👍. Also you need to look at the factor that 4K pro model push the processor realy high as compared to 2K camera video/image processing. Although pro and plus has different processors, is the PRO processor good enough to cater for the extra processing. Most of the time these dash cam makers don't care.
