I love how humble Bernardo is. He listens like he is hearing about Jiu Jitsu for the first time.
So so true.
As if he isn’t extremely knowledgeable in his own right… it’s extremely impressive, and I admire this attribute in him
His attentiveness is unmatched.
Damn, is this the line to blow Bernardo?
@@sly.al.6404 stop trying to cut in line. Wait your turn like every one else.
Always love how John’s videos always have an in-depth prologue to the lesson so that he erases most questions or concerns we may have beforehand.
God bless him for introducing me to 2x speed on all videos
He makes the natural teacher in me realize how much work I have to do to become that next level teacher. He's incredible. Him and Ryan Hall have helped so many people become so much better at instruction. Their knowledge & insights are incredible on these topics.
I absolutely love the intros to the instructionals! A lot of people think it’s too technical, but the way he identifies, defines and repeats concepts and terms shows me he understands teaching.
@@Thecelestial1 Exactly 💯! You know its the good stuff because you can take something with you each & every time. Great overview, great insights & key details to make you great, presented greatly. Ha
That's what happens when you use first principles thinking. Mans a genius
What a time to be alive when teaching material like this is just available on demand.
Exactly
Pretty lit
It’s amazing how much knowledge John Danaher has in Jiu-Jitsu. A world champion black belt sitting next to him like he’s a white belt listening to John.
I love it when Yoda animates his human form to teach us grappling
lmao
thats palpatine
@@scarysun15 somehow... Palpatine returned...
bahnahdo: 🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊
danaher: 🔈
Placido:💀
Bernardo, you are doing incredible work. But please please please invest in some wearable microphones for John 🙏🏻
good point
danaher is an incredibly skilled teacher. the level of detail and quality of knowledge from his teachings is unrivaled.
Already bought it, save everyone time. It’s a solid instructional
Is it? 2 of my coaches, one of which was literally a DDS member, said a lot of it’s awful and unrealistic
@@alessio7528 I think its very decent, who is that coach who was supposedly a DDS member?
@@alessio7528 it really depends on your level. If you’re an advanced player (specially if you’re tuned in to the more modern no gi jiu-jitsu), than maybe that’s no gonna do a lot for you.
@@alessio7528 LITERALLY DDS! Yeah, I’m calling BS. There are 5 members and over half of them are at B-team and the other is Gordon Ryan. And unless you live in Austin Texas that’s all not true. Also, like I said, I have watched the instructional, unless your instructor thinks knee slices, body lock passing and float passing doesn’t work maybe your instructor is a charlatan.
@@alessio7528 what accomplishments do your coaches have? Doubt they come close to holding a candle to John's students.
Professor danahar talks a lot, but most of what he says is gold.
Talks a lot? Every word that comes out of his mouth is gold... He explains the principles behind it but always straight to the point
@@lenaodo7644 exactly, he’s considered the best teacher in the world for a reason.
Every time Bernando says "John Danaher, YUGE HONOR FOR ME; Placido......😶", I always laugh because it feels like a "Hello Darkness My Old Friend" moment!
love the beard placido
My goodness this explanation was exquisite… John breaks down his concepts so fucking well
Placido is a great teacher. Danaher gave him a spot in his seminar in Puerto Rico. Both humble people great teachers
my preferred danaher uke lol. dude does everything perfectly.
@@zach2895 Agreed, and in person very impressive almost know what Master Danaher is going to do before he ask for it!
Good training partner too. 💪
Thank you Bernardo for creating BJJ fanatics and for this video. Thank you John for being such an amazing teacher and thank you Placido for being such a good training partner. OSS!
And Micheal Zenga
Great job! Thank you
Sometimes, I watch Bernardo's videos only because he's so cheerful
Such a brilliant instructor
Exactly what i was looking for ! Your content is really awesome and helpfull. Thank you
Bernardo is a genius not only is he making money on these instructional's, he is getting free lessons from some of the greatest Professors today...
Huge honour for me to be first comment on this video
LOL that made me giggle, good one
i love the combination of practitioners in this video. we have danaher, of course, the penultimate teacher. bernardo, the penultimate student. and placido the penultimate training dummy.
Insane teacher with the details
Dan Johnaher is really coming along. With my help...he could be the best.
Another amazing video!
🙏🙏🙏 Thank you guys!!!
4:22 if you want to skip story time
In theory Bernardo should be the best Jiu Jitsu player of all time because he spends so much time learning off of every single super trainer/competitor.
that;s amazing!
Jesus bro he's a 5x world champion what more do you want 😂
Thank you Benardo. I think you're amazing. Thank you for helping the jujitsu community. OSS
Brilliant concept
Monday Jujitsu gonna be dope. Thanks for the inspiration guys. Love the content
Another outstanding video
Keeper IT going Brother
I love your channel bernardo greetings from poland😉
Thank You John Danaher
i like when you ask more questions Bernardo
I love this channel
This is the best no-gi passing instructional. It's WAY better than Gordon's.
Gordon is the student after all, you can’t expect him to have the same knowledge as danaher.
gordon's current passing instructional is like 5 years old. He plans on releasing a new one. Let's see how the new one is compared with danaher's
@@nagatothagod its 3 years old not 5 lmao
@@mkum2141 whatever, my point was that its not really fair to compare a brand new instructional with an older one. When we have both new ones we can judge fairly
@@nagatothagod there have been many guard passing instructionals after Gordon's. None of them are as complete as Gordon's. Yet they all are "newer". This instructional by Danaher is 11 hours long. It's the most complete no-gi guard passing instructional by far. It's surpassed Gordon's.
how was I never subscribed to this channel??? I'm always watching this it!!!
Sweet. Oxford or cambridge university should open a faculty for John Danaher. His explanation and accent got the uni professor vibe. As always, Bernardo's manner as a learner is humbling. Roll hard guys
He was a professor before jiu jitsu
He used to be a philosophy professor I think
I have to watch with closed caption just to hear John. The contrast in audibility between John and Bernardo is YUGE!
Same for the contrast between the video content and the scripted portion at the end. "Please help me to grow my YT channel" comes in loud AF.
I need this instructional immediately
Thank you
Thankyou
Danaher looks jacked! Release a New Wave Meal Plan Instructional!
Dis is gold
Nice!!!!!
It is a huge honour for me to watch this video
Make sure to hook up an external speaker whenever John talks. . it'll be worth it
John had a good Xmas
Would love to know more about body lock passing in MMA
oss!
I’m a white belt and my instructor only has me fighting guys who outweigh me. Which I’ve noticed is much harder to pass than a guy who’s smaller or looking for escapes because we can actually get to that point. So if you could make a video on some fundamentals for fights and passing against heavy opponents that would be something I’d watch for sure.
As a smaller guy myself, when I’m going with bigger guys I have a lot of success in passing the half guard. Like John said in this video half guard gives you the ability to control the head and you can use inside position like underhooks. I feel control like that helps to neutralizes a lot (not all) of weight and strength difference. From there you can focus on using technique and finesse to pass into a better position.
7:45 Bernardo “I never know how to lock my grip here, could you show me how?” *he knows exactly how to lock the grip, just trying to make sure danaher doesn’t miss something… impressive
The ol faithful Placido
He is so humble, I think he would be in a purple belts class taking notes
I could listen to this man talk all day lol. JD is the man. Anyone know where i can find footage of him rolling?
There are literally two clips. When he was blue belt, had hair and flipped the cameraman.
@@evilatex BLUE BELT GEEZ THAT WAS 1000YRS AGO
So this is called "New wave". What happens in 2-3 years? Will they relabel it to "Old wave"? :D Or will the than new video be called "New new wave" ? ;)
Anyways, it's an absolute masterpiece again by John. I bow to him.
how many more parts to the series is there?
best
"submissions, its like investments..."
John Danaher
the day he does MMA specific material I'm gonna cry
He did. GSP ever heard of him lol
@@romanyoung2272 He means the day Danaher puts out an MMA specific instructional... lol
I loved the video, it will revolutionize my guard passing. But...wasn't John going to show how to open the closed guard first? 🥋
The Opening Closed Guard material in his "Go Further Faster" passing instructional may be of interest to you. I bet he addresses it in the NoGi one too.
The go further faster is loght on ooebing the closed guard, hooe he covered more on. Ew one, anyone can comment?
Had to turn my volume up once danaher started to talk .
I seem to get guillotined, or go go glinch for here, Is my head to low to his hips? Or how can I prevent that? Thanks
I love jiu jitsu
"how do i lock my man up here?"
With a ring john, with a ring.
🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
He looks like a real life Gru
14:41 make a situation where your legs are fighting his legs instead of your arms fighting his legs
LXB 😤
Bernardo always looks like he is a white belt. it astounds me XD.
At 1.5 playback speed Bernardo sounds cool.
Ossss
Where’s the Closed Gaurd option
When is Danaher gna make a nogi takedown dvd
Danaher: starts laying down wisdom
Me: has to turn volume to 11
Doesn't matter what video he's in, I always have trouble understanding what John is saying. He's soooooo quiet.
John should walk around with a megaphone attached to his rashguard..cmon bru 🤙🏼
Looking at John Dannaher,. Boy he must have loads of pain.
John getting a little thick, but great content as always
The biggest takeaway here is that Papa D calls it, "fisticuffs"
How do I spell Toriiondo?
Torreando
I tought he bernardo was gonna say Placido then he said Gordon lol
01:50 This is why Big Dan got crushed by Andrew Tackett. Good leg lock techniques, but bad tactics.
Why do I have a feeling John's next move will be perfecting the Dick lock, it is the 6th appendage
10:20
At 58 I wish I had better hearing. couldn't catch at least 50% of what John says.
POV: You caught Ms. Doubtfire in the changing room and there may be no witnesses
Great instruction though
16:58 this looks like the perfect way to get caught in the apollo arm triangle from bottom half guard, the first submission eddie bravo teaches in his first book.
Sorry guys I fell asleep, did he pass?
John just seems like a scientist studying BJJ. “How do you do (blank)?” “Well, we looked into that and found that in this scenario the best way to deal with it is…”
If I train under someone am I allowed to watch these videos?
What? Ofc dude. In fact the best coaches encourage you to bring in new styles/moves to the group. That’s one of the best ways to be well rounded and to keep your game up to date.
My sound level does not reach its maximum. Anyone else has this problem or am I going deaf?
Brother your videos voice is toO less to listen plz do some thing for it ...
Microphones
im falling asleep
Seeing a large white guy sitting that way just isn't right. He looks so uncomfortable.
Bernardo, thank you, but you really must stop interrupting him. No offense, but we're here for the amazing teachers you bring on your channel. When you talk over them, it's disrespectful and frustrating.
Bernardo, will you please stop interrupting?
