For those wondering about the instrument played by Blanco White on this video. It is a Bolivian Charango. There are many forms of similar instruments called Charango in latin america. But due to some information on this artist, i believe this is the one played near the Andean Mountains in Bolivia.
Yeap ,I'ts a charango. This instrument is used in the "música andina" In Argentina and Bolivia. I'm from Argentina.
@@ALEX-fl3sn Probably the charango that he's playing is an "Ayacucho" (due to size and scale). Also, Andean music (or música Andina) is played in Bolivia, Perú (south), Chile (north), Ecuador (Sierra) and Argentina (northwest)
Thank you for saving me 20 hours of googling
Lyrics
I left a sign with a candle
In the streetlight that shone below
Where through the night
The people dance in linen and smoke
I still remember her song in my head
Each palm in time
Every face in that light
As their mouths bellowed
Now they tell me she’s just vanished
Some other place by the sea
But to me she was banished
By herself not by me
And though I still remember
The streetlights are low
Now dull in the night
And the dance has gone quiet
But the sea still bellows
See the island on fire
And the towers align
Built in silos of sea
Underneath every street
Lily spoke of a city’s bones
An ancient rubble of time and stone
Where the walls tremor under the sky
Covered day after day by the tide
Could I save them if I tried?
If only I could
We shine our light across the ocean
A Troy this city has burned
We shine our light across the ocean
A fire on ships will return
We shine our light
His music is a portal.
That violin transports me to another place, much love to all
it's a charango, traditional instrument of south america
There is also a violin there :)
Same here! Sound so familiar...had a strong deja-vu when I first heard it!
the lyrics, the words, the melody, the instruments, everything's perfection...
Tanta Delicadeza y Sutilidad ... Gracias, Gracias, Gracias.
I wish I could like this song twice.
To me he's a magician, not just a musician... Especially after seeing him perform live
true. Blanco White live is pure magic
Ja 😘
This version is even more beautiful than the original❤
It just sweeps me away in its current.
In June, Eddie Vedder will be playing close to my home. In August, Blanco White will be playing close to my home. For some reason, I am so much more looking forward to seeing Blanco White live. I love your music, and you seem to be a really nice guy. Thank you so much!
The combination of Blanco white and mahogany sessions is incredible and so precious♡

I find it randomly, but his music is so relaxing.Just amazing !
Violin is awesome!
This is so amazing! Especially the combination of ukulele, violin and voices, just took my breathe away. Very rhytmic with variable types of dynamics, wonderful song!
Its a chanrango not ukulele ❤️
I love how you play charango. It's such versatile instrument :D
Your tone is other-worldly! This performance transported me to another place and time!

Delightful. I love the dynamic & rhythmic variations - lovely singing & playing - with the harmony singing beautiful. Thank you.
Wowww
So wonderful - it's magic ❤️
I like the usage of The Charango in his compositions. Today I’m glad to find an English song with it. In between all the racism in pop culture these days still.
Just.... Thank you!!!!!
New to the party - wow, just wow. Such talent

AmaZING👀👀💗UR Musica🎶📢💋Great you guys✌
Amazing artist like ben howard!!!!!!!!
Que coisa fantástica.
Ray Donovan playing guitar!
Does anyone have any idea what is the blueish guitar the guitarist is playing? It looks like a Stratocaster thinline, but with a Tele neck... It's gorgeous (and so is the song of course :) )
How does he attach the dpa mic to the charango?
Can anyone post the chords?
I love the song.....but do you think I can get my head around the lyrics .....help !
Take it for what it is. Lyrics are like paintings and these guys are abstract. You may not know what the artist intended but it still speaks to you.
Thought that was Haywire from Prisom Break .
what kind of ukulele is that?
I think what he is using is a guitalele, which basically a 6 stringed uke. I have one myself, and I could be wrong but i think im right. Hopefully i helped!
its a charango
He looks a bit like James Dornan.
Quem é o doente que dá deslike nisso? kkkkkk
