These are the BEST tips on youtube for using faux fur yarn!! I've looked at so many videos bec my scarfs are seeming matted. Now I know that I am doing everything on too small a scale. So starting over w/a larger crochet hook (yes, Clover!!), with looser stitches, and with crocheting into the hole rather than the stitch--all of which prevent the fur from fluffing out!! Thank you sooooo much!!

I've looked at this yarn many times but have shied away from it because it does like 'awkward' to use,
but thanks to your wee video here and the useful tips, I will definitely give it a try.
Bless you. I would love more tips videos from you. Tips are always so useful. Thank you.

This is beautiful. How many yards of yarn did you use and what is the size of your blanket? I am trying to decide if I want to take on this to challenge myself. I really think it is beautiful. Thank you.

Thank you for this video. I was wondering what it is like to crochet with this type of yarn. Light bulb moment for me--finger placement to find the stitches because they are hard to see. Great! I want to try Bernat Pipskeak Yarn, but was leary because it is like the Faux Fur--hard to see the stitches.

I am curious what gauge you are getting with that hook? I love the look of the gauge you are getting!

I've used similar yarn few years ago called That 70s Yarn. I made a small bathroom rug with it. But just yesterday, a friend asked me to help her with her faux fur project that she hasn't picked up in like 5 years lol. I'm having to undo it and start over. I'm having such a hard time undoing it, do you have any suggestions on frogging?

Ugh, frogging is definitely a challenge. Truth be told I haven't been successful with trying to rip back with this yarn. That said, if you go SUPER slow and focus on each step of each stitch, it might work. Sorry I can't be of more help!

@@thegracefultangle9742 right after I sent this comment, it came apart like a charm. Lol. So what I did, is as you said, work with it slow. The lashes get caught with each other, so if it's slowly worked at, it'll break apart and then being able to frog it happens. So I was able to frog then make a blanket and a dog bed. Thank you for replying. Have a blessed night!

Can you please tell me how many chains you did to start? And the size of your finished blanket? And the gauge? I love your blanket let so much and want to make one for my granddaughters! Thank you for sharing!!😊

So fun! I will be honest, I don't remember how many chains I did and I don't have the blanket with me to check right now. I like to make blankets to be 50 by 60 inches if I can, so whatever amount would get to be about 50" wide is a good guess. I'm sorry I can't be more specific, but I hope that helps!

I made this one quite awhile ago and honestly don't remember, but a good guess is around 6 hours total!
