They are realy so,so beautiful and have the .most elegant extended trot with their high level knees. It's their natural gait. Like flooting in the air.
But they can't canter for a long time, neighter jump. But so gentle, calm and easy. Even a child can ride it. I follow the CZcams channel: friesian horses. Amazing. 💞👍

@@itssmeeagain no no, they can't canter well for 20 minutes. And i never saw a frt in jumping competition, because they can jump only a low level. If you don't believe me, go to look the channel "friesian horses". They have always about 25 friesians with at least 4 crown mares and about 10 star mares. So with such quality they know all about friesian horses. They are so beautiful. I love to see them in trot. And also i like to see jumping and cross horses. I follow about 150 horsechannels over the world, most in the netherlands, in dutch, german, english, french, spanish and flemish, and i never saw a jumping friesian. 👍💞

Too old to ride these days, but the Friesian is my favorite. Love the Black on Black and the flowing mane & tail. Love their walk. Love everything about them, except that they are so rare--I'll probably never get to see one in real life. Love the Gypsy Vanner horses too!

If your a person who loves show jumping and more specific hight jumps a Fresian may not be the best for you bc their not that succesfull in show jumping

I recommend not buying cheap friesiens that are under 8k they would not be very healthy and untrained

I think that thd price depends in witch country. And also the age and the training. And even in friesland in the netherlands it will be dificult to find under the 10k. And when you want a star or a crown or maybe the best ones, a model, they are very expensif. Even so for a registrated aprouved stallion. In all those years from the studbook there are only a few more then 500 aprouved stallions. So the price must be very high. But they are beauty's.
I recommend you dont buy a Friesian unless you are VERY experienced with horsemanship.
They are not for inexperienced people. They can easily become a very dangerous horse.
And as the other commenter write. The price is much higher.
The cost of upkeeping a Friesian is also anywhere from 10 - 30 thousand dollars per year.
They also have many health problems due to inbreeding and live a pretty short life.

Most of horses in this vid are not Friesian :| friesians are black AF + have very specific gait - they lift their front legs to almost 90* angle.
