She sings the best rendition of "Defying Gravity" I've ever heard. She is presently on tour in the U.S.(in Texas right now) promoting her new album. Welcome to the party.
That tour was postponed due to Covid. Its rescheduled for Feb and March

Her voice is so silky smooth its like melted butter. 2022 is her Global year and Mainstream atists are scared because she even sounds better live and Mori does not believe in Autotune. Morissette was chosen to sing for the Alladin movie in the Philippines. Check the video of Morissette together with Will Smith and Alan Menken.

It's called singing in the 'whistle registry'., above falsetto. Mariah Carey sang in the registry range years ago. Even Dimash can sing in this registry, and he's a guy! That squeak/cry is called a 'voice break', but like you said, it was done intentional to show emotion(cry?). It's also obvious, you're infatuated. The first vocal treat is just what you thought it was. That is a vocal squeak, or a vocal break. The second thing is called 'whistle tones'. It is separate from singing though as you heard she can vocalize hers. Mariah Carey also uses these tones. If you want to go back to the 70's Minnie Ripperton. Morissette is the only person I have heard that can take the whistle tone as a whistle. She also held a whistle tone for two minutes. I'll give you a link to see that little trick. She also has 17 second stretch that she sings in one breath.
