- A look around an abandoned military graveyard, I'm not going to say much more on this one... but there was some brilliant stuff inside and some great looking patina.
#urbex #explore #derelict
I would say with such a vast assortment of deferent military pieces that it most likely belongs to a movie company or someone is collecting cheap military goods. Neat to see for sure.
Just found this video. Bloody amazing!!!
0:10 WW2 Canadian built Chevy or Ford army wrecker
0:20 Alvis Stalwart, mobile amphibious military truck, served with the British Army from 1966 until 1992. Another one 0:30
0:28 WW2 Leyland Retriever Coles Crane - Boss mentions this fact at 0:47
1:11 Missile laden tracked Rapier. Cold War surface-to-air missile launcher. It is still in service today
1:28 Austin 10hp Staff Car
1:39 A pair of Russian-made UAZ-469's used by coalition in Iraq
1:49 American M814 5 Ton 6x6 Military Cargo Truck
2:22 Bedford RL - Production 1953 to early 1970s
2:36 Bedford M Series - Production early 1960s to 1992
2:43 Chinese built YW 531 / Type 63 Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) Gulf War (Used by Turkey?)
at 2:24 The very old truck next to the Bedford was a 1950's drone, the very first operational military drone ever made. it is priceless.
A great video, I got my truck and car licence in the RL Bedford so i have very fond memories of this vehicle, all of this 'gear' should be in a museum, not rusting away.
What a way for a Stalwart to end its life.
This place looks awesome, would love to visit. Abandoned vehicles are my favourite. Good job pal
Holy cow......my old launcher at 2:15. The Bedford. It's not from the 40s-50s. It's a Bedford RL. I drove one from 1971 to around 1980s.
The "6 pounder" is a Soviet ZIS-3 anti-tank gun. There's also a 5.5 inch field gun and a 25 pounder without a shield.
and a german 88mm 1:17
I love the bedfords I had 2 tks. And the stalwarts are my favourite.
There is some serious money here not to mention the best place for some of this stuff is in a museum.
That 88 mm German ww2 gun 😲and the Canadian Mapple leaf chevy truck there's a sodding fortune in the two items alone
That 88 and mark tank ww1 alone are most valuable of everything
A very cool place many thanks for sharing 🙏
I drove a Bedford like that one with shocking clutch shudder was a 6 cylinder back in the days of another time zone amid the war games of 1963.
I hate to see vehicles like the Stollies ending their lives like this, such a shame.
That 88 German flak gun is worth well over £100,000 on its own im considering buying a f##ked one that needs a mountain of work done to it and this chap wants £35,000 for it! So much in that yard I like to buy and start a museum.
Great video and please keep the site a secrete never tell anyone as those poxy dealers will buy and sell to Americans and gone for good out of the UK never to come back.
Wowzers! Do you have/need a license to own one of those? Awesome!
These items should be sold to collectors rather than left to rust away on the storage lot of a base.
Just criminal to leave this great cross section of vehicles and hardware!! Sacrilege!!! To say the least.Alot o f history just slowly rotting away. The 88 belongs in a museum along with at least half of dozen other vehicles. This place is the height of ignorance and arrogance. So many museum p ieces it just breaks this Veteran's heart. Just imagine ALL THE YOUNG SOLDIERS whom maintained and operated this eqiptment.
It is sad to see all that old, great equipment just rusting away, thanks for sharing, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia.
I agree, it is sad to see it like that. Thank you also 🙏🏽
I recognise a drone launcher AN USD 501 from 1973 and possibly an old met radar next to it a blast from the past their were only four drone troops One in 22 Bty three in 94 loc regt 57,73 and 156 Bty.
I drove one back in the day. 73 Loc Bty 94 Loc Regt RA
I would pay money to see that stuff. Its a shame you couldn't spent more time there.
Why ain't they in a museum or a private collection where's that Bruce Compton when you need him
they are, that’s somebody’s private collection awaiting restoration.
1:18 a WWI tank!
Mark 1 i think 2 are left in the world rest are replicas. 88 is just amazing. I hope that they go to auction to get sold to right people who will restore them and place them in private exhibitions for enthusiast to see them.
It makes me so mad to see that legendary vehicle abandoned
Holy crap that tan cannon was an world war 2 German 88 mil
I am confused... why would most of this stuff be on an active base?
@@MeAbroad2004 aye, how are they just wondering around 🤔

I love that big Bedford
FV 432, Alvis Ferret, Coles crane, Abbot, Austin Champ. Astonishing.
Thanks for sharing bud, I appreciate the information
You've missed the lance mg52 missile carrier (nuclear) or it maybe the loader transporter for ggd lance missile

The first Bedford was an RL. 60s-70s. Next was an MK. Also spotted a Stalwart. A go anywhere vehicle.
The RL Bedford was a launcher for the Midge drone UAV system. 22 locating battery Larkhill. IRC.
God I hope they plan on preserving this history. Blown away by this.
Very cool place :)
Left over movie props. Definitely some valuable pieces in the group.
Wow, now thats cool, thanks for sharing these, I have loads of military diecast, I love this kinda stuff. Bedfords are my favourite truck, shame they went out of business.
blame maggie thatcher for that !and a lot of other companies went as well
She did make some big bunders, the milk snatcher, those were the days free school milk, silly it ever stopped.
Complete War museum!
It was a great explore. Wish I could go back in time and do it properly
A lot of history in this place. Where is it.
Do you know?
Love the stalwarts
Definitely! Some awesome stuff there
You missed the most interesting lumps of hardware there - two sections of WWII German V2 launching rail @ 1:03 !
Longmoor Military-Railway ____ V2 was a rocket. V1 was launched on a rail.
Nobody mentioned the Willy's jeep body tub that would do me
The RL was still in use in the 70s.
Mint place
Wow what a MIX of countries represented here everything from British to Czech/Russian to American that ** MM looked darned near pristine obviously from the desert somewhere some truly beautiful specimens here! I am SO glad I am NOT there I collect both German and American Military trucks and being here could get extremely expensive in darned short order!!!!
Looks like a storage facility of a film company or something like that, with the first WW tank, 88mm gun from Germany and other assorted hardware from different natios and eras.
Cool stuff see some has mentioned so. Of the cooler stuff the German gun so should be inside somewhere
Cool
Prachtig!!
must be an old military museum , I saw a german 88mm gun 1:17.
Where is this place? Awesomeness!
It’s in the North East area of the UK 😎
I wouldn’t change a thing, they’re perfect. Except they should reside with me and mine
Is this near Stankwell Falls?
A WW2 German 88 and he walked right passed it!Mein Gott-aim all artillery towards the channel and fire at will..
Young and dumb back then! If I could change it I would for sure.
Where was that please
Does anyone know what the sand coloured APC at 2,45 is? Is has Red Cresent markings. Looks like a missile carrier from "UFO"
Thats an old iraqi armored ambulance. Very similar to a CVRT Samaritan that we use in the forces.
Iraqi YW-750 Ambulance - based on Russian BTR-63-1
Most of the tyres are blown up
i dont think that armard rocket launcher would have the rocket on it like it shows hear
It's a Rapier anti-aircraft missile
@@NickyH60 i still dont think it would be left out like that so just any one could get there hands on it
Good
Dov'è questo posto, per poterlo visitare???
Who the hell let rot away a german 8,8 anti tank gun worth a million dollars ?
2:02 is a W.W. 2 ; en.wikipedia.org/wiki/155_mm_Gun_M1.
Wait, was that an 88?
Can people buy these for scrap?
Kalikakumar I believe many have now been restored
@@ExploringWithBoss AHH damn! I'd have loved to put up one of those field guns in front of my house!
