Someone needs to try a tank vs the case 150 steam tractor in a tug of war.
Not that WZT has 6 times the power and equal weight, also threads. It would never lose to a heaping old pile of shit that will break down half way trough the tugging
the issue is weight and traction, i think the tank would smoke the case 150
@@Fantastika well the case 150 can pull about 40,000 lbs more than the strongest diesel tractors. But if the tank is way stronger, why not make tractor tanks. Like a tank, but no gun and solely for the purpose of tugging? And if weight has a factor, does it mean anything that the WZT-2 weighs 34 tons and the Case 150 weighs 37.5 tons? The Case 150 can pull 100,000 lbs, how many pounds can the WZT-2 pull?
@@ThunderboltSirenStudios you kind of don't necessarily want a tractor that weighs 70 tons so you don't get stuck every time it rains. There are versions of tanks meant for tank recovery. Well considering a wzt can pull out a stuck t55 I'd say a lot considering the t55 weighs like 40 tons iirc
The tank has an average weight of 50 tons and a power of 1400 hp. Only a mining dump truck and a diesel locomotive can resist it

Its actually a function of sufficent power, weight and traction. Just one or two of it wont be good enough.

Tanks in general use their weight not the gearing. I can re-work a Tanks gearing to rock!
Weight alone doesnt do anything, you need traction and torque to move it adequately. Weight adds to traction but required torque to move. If you look at modern Leopard 2 tanks with their 46L engines pumping out 4700Nm of torque, you understand why gearing isnt that important. More important would be to have a drivetrain that is proverbially bulletproof when 60+ tons haul it through rough terrain at speeds no ordinary but capable off-road vehicle could achieve on the same turf.

@@blitzguy4694 No, I am stating quadtracs have outpulled tanks, google a couple videos up. A carrier did outpull an 525stx I think but a newer quadtrac outpulled panzer.
