Godzilla was a monster - the best kind. He owned the 2009 Series.
And he didn’t even start 3 of the games which is even more insane
Matsui's Grand Slam at the Yankees' home opener in 2003 was his introduction....his HR & 6 RBI in the clinching game of the 2009 World Series was his swan song.
Jeter called Matsui one of his all time favorite teammates. A true professional.
He always came up in big moments. A truth Yankees!!

@@2paz269 Matsui in 2009 wasn't exactly in his prime either. That's why the Yankees let him go. I believe he and Pedro are only a couple years apart in age.
