in hindsight, the way beck played up his "sacrifice" is hilarious
IKR, the line is kinda cheesy and cliched
Somehow beck programmed into the projector Peter hitting the monster with water.
@@thesfactor2544 "Beck, don't do it!"
Beck from victorious
E I yea he didn’t even die
Say what you will about Beck, but he went all the way with his cliche superhero.
I mean, sent to another world, lost everyone he loved, has a chance to stop the same thing happening in a different world, driven by revenge, meets another character with a tragic backstory, and has an over-the-top fake out sacrifice.
All he needs is a forced romantic subplot with uncomfortable undertones and/or no chemistry and we basically have an early 2000s superhero.
That's the whole genius of his facade. He's the ultimate cliche that'll fit right in with everyone else. Nobody even questioned how his powers worked or what his suit did.
Why would they question his powers when you’ve got people like doctor strange around.
Yeah, the majority of that description really reminds me of Trunks from DBZ. Then again, he is a 2000s hero
Mr. Snarky They also parodied the typical tragic villain origin story by making Mysterio’s reason for becoming a mass murderer so ludicrously petty that it both makes absolutely no sense and yet is really interesting at the same time.
@@LightskinCowboy1 the comic was made in 1964
You gotta admit, Mysterio’s fake super powers are actually really cool
