Very good video explaining the basics. Just wanted to add one more tip. To keep your burner mess free always use silver foil on the plate. After use (and after it cools down completely) just throw the foil away.

Hi,thanks for sharing this video. Would it also be possible to share how to use this in the Indian clay pot too? I tried and it smoked like anything (a lot of smoke) and didn't smell good. Wondering if I did something wrong... :(
Does bakhoor when placed on a hot charcoal, is it supposed to smell like smoke? I never get the scent that the bakhoor smells like, it always just smells like a deep smoke. Not awful, but I figured that's what bakhoor is.

Absolutely agree with your comments on the ambience created without any smoke. And the build quality of the Ajmal burner is very good and solid. Can you pls comment in how long should it be kept on at one go? Ajmal folks advice for max 10 minutes, however I feelthat it may not be enough to get the most out of the dakhoon.
One suggestion is also try to keep 2-3 pieces of camphor on the plate, it smells very good.

using the electronic burner is it safe using it if you have a fire alarm in the room, you know not activate the alarm every time you use it
So, instead of just place a whole charcoal disk in the burner with the bakhoor on top, you can just crumble the charcoal or use a small piece then place the bahkoor on it?

I think this tradition of burning charcoal or incense and wood chips might be an unnecessary hazard and I was very disappointed reading the article.I was looking forward to use those items as aromatherapy.
