Building LEGO Masters Australia series 3 Giant LEGO Tree

Building the enormous LEGO® brick tree from the penultimate episode of Series 3 was one of our most challenging builds ever!
Designing the repeating leaf patternin the tree and then applying it to the 3D shape of tree's canopy was difficult enough, but when it came time to build it, it was even harder!
To overcome having to build out from the trunk over nothing, we actually ended up building the entire top of the tree upside down! This ended up looking a lot better too as it meant when you look up under the tree you see studs, not the hollow undersides of thousands of LEGO bricks.
In the end, it took us over 500 hours to design and build, using nearly 86,000 LEGO bricks!
