Good deeds are not soon forgotten. Giving her the extra $50 for the clock for a total of $600 was a God send for her as she probably needed the money really bad. If I lived in your area, I would shop at your antique store daily.
Wonderful Content, luv your Wife's little segment, don't be so dry in your humor 🤪 You both have a vast amount of knowledge to share and it is greatly appreciated! Thank you soo much 🤗👩🌾
I was thinking about opening a store, my online sales have been ok in the past, i think if i had an actual store and continued online I could make decent money.
If they were truly good people they would have dropped by and given Dan some of the profit. He came down an entire 1/3 on the price of the "D S"earthenware piece; they owe him a nice gesture back with the sale of the tin.
When the heck was this video created, the late 90's or early 2000's? As of 2017, there are a bunch of these william tell banks on ebay... some were listed at 800 to 1000 and apparently sold on best offer, so it's hard to say how much the seller got... all the rest (recent solds as of 6/3/17) are going for 300 to 400 (according to the data eBay is providing)... I have not checked to see if any of them are functioning as well as the one the guy in the video had... wonder if he ever got his 1800 to 2000... does not look like a good investment for a dealer at over $1000 right now unless you just really want one that works. As a reseller, I would be remiss to pay more than 300 to 400 for one working well in good painted condition... but, I'd be happy to take my stuff to these guys to sell to them!!!!
Being on the other side o' the pond, now that I've hooked you, you're one that 'ain't gonna get away!' Easy going laid back, unpretentious. Difficult to find fair minded guys in this ever growing mean fisted, barrel shooting world of ours. Must say i'm no cherub. Ta.
You would never offer anyone big bucks you would only buy if the seller wanted just to get rid of it for very little, These shows make buying from the public a real hassle everybody wants big bucks where there is no gain to be made.
It's the law, when exchanging money for possibly stolen items. These guys are a lot like pawn brokers. Anyone can tell a story, they have no idea if these things are stolen or not. I bet they are one of the first places victims of home robberies go to looking for their stolen stuff.
Notice they are selling on Ebay. Why have a mall? If all the good stuff goes on Ebay, why shop at their mall? I don't know how many malls I have visited where the general quality is yard sale items with very few really nice items. Besides I notice owners let in so much junk dealers into malls that kills it for the true antique collector.
We. are. American. robots. "Take a look at my jugs". Awkward innuendo. We are reading q-cards. This is painful. Very painful to watch. So bad. Very bad.
Nobody is as good as Antiques Roadshow but u guys are just as entertaining. No fuss, no muss.
He gave her 4&1/2 times what she wanted for the small jugs, who does that?? I always see people trying to get stuff for less!
