MV Agusta Brutale Dragster 800 RR Detailed Review [SPEED, HANDLING, SOUND, STYLING]

  • Today I ride the special MV Agusta Brutale Dragster 800 RR and boy, what a mouthful that was to say! This was my first time riding an MV Agusta and I loved every second of it. The bike sounds great, handles phenomenal and it definitely looks the part with its mind blowing acceleration. In this review, I take it on some nice twisty roads and thrash it around and see what this Italian brute has to offer.

    I love that bike! It's such a beauty... it pretty much is the kind of bike that fits my riding style as well. I've always been in love with the stripped down and shortened naked bikes that is just minimalistic where you can just hop on easily and go take it for a spin. I had a Street Triple and a Monster (both older generations) and I am looking forward to another monster and street triple in my future, just the newer generations. Only bad thing is that they're not great for slinging luggage on and taking out for a long trip. Just you can take a nice short weekend trip though with just a backpack or so. The naming just weird with MV, it's a bit off. i think both is the same bike brutale 800 and dragster 800, it just with a bit here and there twist like the handle bar and tail light but basically it's the same. for example Ducati Daivel also came with Diavel and X Diavel S which is same bike but a not the same if that make sense. But i don't know why they go with Brutale naming with their 1000 cc when it looks more like Dragster, the handle bar and tail light from Brutale 1000 match the Dragster more than Brutale.

      Owen one of them and had the pleasure of riding both. The presented MV RR is a specific model from MY17 (color scheme) and the last of its kind EURO3 complaint. If set a proper aftermarket exhaust (ex: SC or FM) you will get the same power and performance as the F3 running at the SBK ;-) (the engine is the same).
      Both bikes are amazing, but the MV is more.... brutal. You feel it better, its more thrilling - better on twisty roads.
      At the end, as someone said, buy the one you like most. However, if you see it from the collectors perspective, MV will be probably the one. In my point of view... MV is a bike to keep in the garage for .. life!
      Have fun and ride safe!

    I will be honest , I own several bikes , mostly Ducati’s and as well this one , I can only judge from collection point of view but I know most of the guys can only have one bike at the time .
    Hands down best looking , most attention you get on this , but border line posers bike , gets annoying.
    Real word ride it’s diff, I’m 6’1 and I feel bike it’s too small for me , also if you Tasted anything bigger you be disappointed, eyes choose this at garage but heart and brain take my Ducati monster 1200 R. Over this any day ,1200R eat it all day on every way , power , comfort , size , ride quality .
    This a great bike don’t take me wrong but for newcomers to Italian animals , buy what you desire but not a bike for guys coming from 1299 panigale or 1200R monster , this feels like a baby 👶 compare to them .

    • @guyhenry3047
      @guyhenry3047 Před 4 lety

      I get it. Not every bike for everyone. Since I'm shorter, I like the compact size, just like my 900 SuperSport. I did get to ride a 959 Panigale Corse, and it was a bit much for street rides, not to mention intimidatingly tall for me. It wanted more and more speed, even when I was doing triple digits. That would eventually get me in trouble. I like the tight twisties, and the short wheel base and handling suits that just fine.

    • @onlyfoolriding8223
      @onlyfoolriding8223 Před 3 lety

      I had a Monster 1200. You're right, that thing has torque for fucking DAYS. I got rid of it for 2 reasons: 1) Couldn't really use all the power for every day riding 2) I'm 5'8" - felt too damn big for me. I had both bike suspensions adjusted for my weight, and I much prefer the handling of the MV, probably because it's just so much smaller and lighter. Obviously, the 1200R has top spec suspension over the 1200, so I'm sure it makes a big difference.
