- This video details installation of a new headunit in a 1999 - 2006 Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra. Most vehicles will follow similar procedures, may need different products. Enjoy!

Great video,Dustin T. Thanks for taking the time to show how to install this. Thanks for sharing!!
Glad you are enjoying the videos my friend! More to come each Thursday or Friday.
Thank you for including the links in the description.
That is a great video! Thanks!
Thank you for posting I have the same truck
thanks for a the video! did you install the rear camera?
So I have a Jvc kw-v250bt and it is 6.2 inches so would I have to buy a new dash or would that double din part you bought make it where I wouldn't have to buy a whole new besale
I agree; the biggest problem for me (2002 LB7 w/o wheel controls) is that I want a unit with a volume knob. Still looking.
thanks for sharing this gave me some ideas for mines
Thanks! Very helpful.
I have an 06 sierra and I looked at all the parts and the seem like they’ll work so I just bought them so hopefully In a few days my truck will look about like yours
Did you get to install it?
Did you install ?
Update?
bro it’s been 8 months. did it work??
We need an update bro
Can you do a tutorial on installing a screen on a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban with apple carplay?
Hallo Dustin i have a tahoe 2001 i need too it but i cant find in amazon or ebay just between 2003-2005.which size ?din1 or 2?
Sorry i am not good in English language.i can’t understand what do you explain just i watching;)
Greetings from Germany
Awesome, can you provide the links for everything? I have the bose audio in my cat eye, am curious if I need more stuff
Thanks for the reminder buddy! Just updated with links. This was the closest stereo I could find. And keep in mind whether you use my links or not it may be worth shopping around for the best price.
With that Sony head unit do you have a app on the home screen to get onto the CarPlay or does it just come on when you plug your phone into the USB
What did you use for jack port
What do u connect the key 1 and key 2 and the ground to?
Is it possible to install on a 1956 Chevy Bel Aire?
How bright is the display.? I had a Kenwood that's was so dark when the sun hit it even at its brightest setting I hated it
I don’t have any of the steering wheel buttons can I still control the volume and everything
Are your door speakers Factory BOSE ?
Do you know where you can find the harness interface because the link on amazon you supplied doesnt work anymore
Walmart!
Would you say this install would match up to a 2006 HD LT w/Bose?
Did it if you tried ?
i share my dads 09 silverado, had bought a apple/android car play from the company boss, it fits amazing i just have to figure out how to wire it to the oem system
I bought this exact kit for the same exact truck and it is draining my battery. Is there a certain wire that doesn’t need to be connected? I used everything that you used in the video.
Actually I just went into Best Buy today and asked about the metra connector and the geek squad employee who installs Headunits told me that the actual connector itself is the one draining the battery he told me it’s very common to see and he wasn’t sure if metra fixed the issue or not but in your case it might be the connector itself
Does it screen mirror for apple?
I have a 07 Chevy 1500 classic. I think I’ll invest in this cause I got like a cheap Walmart radio. It’s good but I want something newer. I don’t have all those buttons on the steering like you do
I do think you’d be happy. This head unit has as many features as my stock 2014 Silverado radio. I don’t even feel like I’m downgrading when driving my 04 with this head unit. Thanks for watching!
Will this work on a Chevy cavalier 2000-2005
Can I purchase your old Radio?
That was good
So does the apple car play work via Bluetooth or does it need to be plugged in for the car play to work?
Has to be plugged in to work
Could there be a possible reason it wouldn’t fit
Could you just use the old wiring harness on the new stereo?
yea wires are all the same. only difference is now you have gps and other things. But the black and white wire (power cables) will power that up
its black and red*** the power cables
just careful when you detach them
@@dannychico3889 alright thanks
The harness is discontinued now
i bought everything you had BUT my truck has the second plug and bose. my steering wheel controls sadly do not work
ACTUALLY just fixed it😂😂 i had it plugged into the wrong place. you have to have it plugged in the remote plug not the black one below
i have a xav-ax4000 for anyone wondering
Would this work in a 97 Chevy silverado?
Yep! Only difference would possibly be the harness and mount but they make kits for it
@@DustinT Thanks man! Ended up doing it and it looks great. One more question for you. My unit doesn't shut off when the ignition is fully off. It seems to be pulling power from the battery at all times. Did you experience anything similar to this? Got any advice? I,m wondering if the wiring for power needs to be set up differently. Thanks!
Wanna buy me a new radio & the mount kit for christmas 😢
