Indeed I shall ...
The fact that people said Jay-z was too old to be a rapper over 30 years ago and heâs still today one of the most coveted lyricist to get on a record is mind blowing!
Heâs always talking about Jayz but for some reason I never heard J talk about him.
@@cjjames83 he doesnât really do interviews anymore. And even when he did, they were very cupcake questions being asked

30 years ago he wouldâve been 22. How is that too old to be a rapper? You got niggas that are 30 still on that drill shit.đđ€Ł
He was considered âOLDâ when he released The Blueprint.
Dame was kind of a loose cannon at one point and Jay-Z got tired of it. Jay wanted to be taken seriously as a businessman but knew he couldnât with Dame and his antics being in the fold and thatâs basically what he told him.
Basically Jay wanted to integrate with Jews & Whites.

Bleek said he tried to warn Dame on the plane that people wasnât messing with him.
Dame had a lawsuit between him and Curren$y for trying to screw him out of bread.
We got footage of Dame running around an office screaming at the top of his lungs about how Jay was âhisâ artist, when they were partners.
Dame admits he made Cam the president of Roc a Fella, without having any prior meeting with Jay.
There are countless stories about Dame not being a good person to work with. Itâs weird we still blame Jay when itâs a ton of other evidence to suggest Dame was the problem.
BINGO!!!!!!
It's because people just hate Jay so anyone opposing him they just side with lol
It only makes Dame look bitter because thatâs all everybody ask him about. Ask Jay the same questions.
Won't happen
Jay donât Do Interviews

@@bouche8503 I know he did. But what I'm saying is, Jay offered him Rocafella and all he wanted is his Master from reasonable doubt. That means, Dame could of kept the clothing line, and all the other businesses associated with Rocafella. Instead Dame took 22 million that he had to split with Bigs. Dame is a legend no matter the opinion. The most impressive fact about Dame is that if you listen to him for long enough your thinking / thought process will change. He is an influential character throughout.
If he's so smart and all of this why he is not doing what Jay Z is doing why didn't he make another Jay Z why did he fall because when Rockefeller was sold it was split three ways evenly he walked away with 30 million dollars and now he has nothing
Why is he still talking about Jay-Z? What is he doing for his self. If I was Jay-Z I would have dropped his ass sooner. A gossiping man trying to stay relevant.
I never thought Iâd see the day when grown ass men would stoop to female levels to support someone so obviously arrogant, rude, and wrong in every way as they do Dame.
If this man was the icon that a segment Black men say he is, why havenât we heard any Black entertainment moguls and execs support Dame on any level. Theyâre not even friends with him.
Dame is a good businessman. But he canât admit jay z has surpassed him in the business world
@@deonehull he doesnât have nothing. Heâs just not in the music industry anymore. The man is still rich
The last 20 years has been nothing but sour grapes from Dame. Jay is quoted as saying that he would have walked away from the game if Dame/Biggs would have just let him have the masters to Reasonable Doubt. They said no, so Jay proceeded to accept the Def Jam President job with LA Reid (retaining all of his master recordings) and turned down Lyor Cohen's President job offer at Atlantic records. Post Roc break up, Dame was bragging how LA Reid was smart enough to keep him on staff by brokering the Dame Dash Music Group deal but without a flagship artist of Jay's caliber, Dame was now toothless and the label failed. In a nutshell, Dame underestimated Jay-Z's business acumen and it still eats at him.
Was it Jay's acumen or advise he was getting from cats who was looking to bury Dame anyway lol Like Lyor who told Jay he would by Rockafella just to give it to Jay lol. I hear you bro but its sad that we live in a world were good business and being a snake can be one in the same.
Lies
1. How could Dame/Biggs give Jay RD if Def Jam owned the 50% of Roc a Fela (wasnât theirs to give)
2. He didnât retain the masters because he became President, he negotiated them in exchange that he help Def Jam buy the rest of Roc a Fela under the premise (to Dame and Biggs) that he was retiring. RocWear as well
3. Jay didnât go to Atlantic because he couldnât be associated to Lyor who was being investigated for âtorturous interferenceâ of the artists he was handling, Jay taking a job there would have made it that much more obvious that he was.
4. LA was nice enough to do a distribution deal with Dame which unfortunately did not work out but that was because of multiple sabotage tactics that Jay used to make sure the label didnt grow any more legs.
Your sentiment on Dame may be sound, but Dame always admitted he was hurt by what Jay did (so thatâs stating the obvious). The rest of your information is just off
It funny how everyone asks Dame about Jay and he answers the question but NOBODY ask Jay about Dame bkuz Jay has nothing to complain about bkuz he did some shit the will get you killed in the streets
@@oramaponyane4616 Dame Dash not relinquishing the masters is canon and the genesis of the creation of Jay-Z the "business man". So everything that transpired afterwards is moot. @@MelAlstonJr Yes, Jay's business acumen. He was smart enough to turn down Lyor's offer so there goes your aiding and abetting theory. Exactly! Dame was a liability if you really think about it. The undertones whenever he speaks about Jay is steeped in pure jealousy and envy. What bothers me most about Dame is he takes absolutely zero blame in what transpired here. Jay knew staying connected to Dame was like having that chick with good pussy you enjoyed smashing, but you always knew she wasn't wifey material. I aint never heard Jay-Z talk about things that he is accused of, but i guess it is true when they say "the winner gets to write the book"
No one works with Dame twice
Cam, kanye, Oschino from state property, Murda Mook...Styles p was in Honor Up and Loisadas...host of others worked with dame several times way after the roc Era..
This is telling.
Except YE
@@cokewave2903 no Cam is friends with Dame and doesnât do business with him because heâs a thief just ask Biggs, Jim Jones, Beanie Siegel, Muddy Waters Pictures, Mafietta. He a liar and a thief. Ye doesnât do business with either he just gives him money because theyâre friends and he feels sorry for the guy.
Dame does business with Kanye & Cam
Damn. He cleared up everything in 8min
Imma a fan of both these brothers and no matter what the got multiple platinum selling albums and made plenty of money people breakup in business everyday gotta move on
Jay-Z is the epitome of capitalism. I respect it, I just wish he wouldnât pretend to the public that he gives a crap about social issues. But then again, thatâs what corporations do... đ€
Why do you feel that he pretends?
You can be a capitalist and also want to help your community
He has used social issues to gain equity in several projects under the guise of âchangeâ. The Brooklyn Nets and the NFL are the two most high profile examples of this. At the end of those deals the only person who ended up being empowered or enriched was Jay-Z himself. We call it the bait and switch!
Jayz want People to think that NFL deal is for social issues but I know the reason why he really did that deal is too get access to buy a NFL team. Jay really is all about the money. I'm glad travis scott didn't listen to him when he tried to get him not to do the super bowl. Jay is all about his self.
@@vishkaperera1489 naw you canât⊠you canât sell trauma but also want it to stop
He basically a motivational speaker that pushed those around him with his mouth and he didn't take the time to figure out what his own personal talent was so he can make money off of hisself and own talent
How could any label say Jay rhymes too fast! Leaders of the New School was out way before Jay Z (Busta Rhymes). There's was also Bone Thugs & Das Effects. đ€ Great interview!
I luv some Damn I can listen to his wisdom all day!
They had a different outlook on how to do business, that's all... Dame was more communal and loud about it, Jay was more corporate and discrete. They grew apart, that's all. They are both great in their own ways and that's that.
One of those is just a better way to be a person.
His phony tough guy ways got Rockafella pull at Def Jam and they also helped him light all the bridges he was crossing. Dude can refuse answering questions about Jay if he wanted to, like he somewhat did in this interview. He just flexes and lies on his failures now, like his partnership with Adam 22, Karmaloop, CEO Clothing, Black Roc, his weak rock album and now these art galleries he's "opening" that he can't name. Dame's blacklisted himself and been his own owoest enemy.
Shawn Carter has created his own legacy. Itâs the result of his manipulations and backstabbing.
Show me a man in America that worth a billion that hasnât manipulated or backstabbed? Iâll wait in the meantime Dame has backstabbed plenty like currency, Jim Jones, Biggs Burke, The owner of the Mafietta story he tried to plagiarize and was sued and lost to the tune of 300k the writer and owner of Dear Frank movie who stole the movie called it the list and was sued and lost to the tune of 800k and thereâs more but i digress and i leave you with people in glass houses shouldnât throw stones.
Itâs common nature of the music businessâŠ
Dame did a lot of stuff behind the scenes that messed up their relationship.Dame did a tremendous job.he made it happen because he was smart and fearless but he also fucked up
You say this but he's still with Biggs, Chaka Pilgrim, Bleek, TyTy, Hip Hop,etc.Even Cam'ron is cool with Jay now.
U made him rite so make another hov.stop it and get over it and move on u still bitter
Dame been blaming media for years about him being asked about jay when we all know questions asked are discussed before the interview lol âŠ.he knows talking about jay keeps him relevant or at least In his own mind
That's funny because I have seen plenty of interviews where he hasn't been asked about Jay-Z
@@chrisjackson4304 Iâm sure you have âŠbut 90 percent of his interviews heâs talking about jay lol
That's because 90 percent of interviews he's asked about Jay-Z. He doesn't need Jay-Z to be relevant.
He gets asked about jay. he has never brought up jay z when not asked. big difference.
@@olijadu goof the fact everyone asks him about Jay and Rocafella proves that was the most significant thing heâs done in his career. When Jays interviewed no oneâs interested in hearing about Dame or the Roc split because Jay has done and still doing significant shit outside of the Roc days.
He slams Jay Z, but big up Ye. Well , same birds flock together I guess.
Itâs funny he is saying this now but during the def jam rants he was saying jay was his artist.
Yep, dame full of shit.
This video should have more viewers itâs obvious the algorithm is been control great contact.
These new podcast are starting out with MONEY! Theyâre putting money into their sets from the start now. Theyâre not waiting until 100k subs, theyâre acting like they already have 100k subs. Respect for that.
Why would you be so hung over on someone you didn't grow up with? Y'all met one another as grown men through a mutual friend. Things happen but still having that man you parted ways with 20 years ago still being the highlight of your existence is bananas. I'd leave the spotlight for good and never emerge lol
You don't understand business my friend. Dame keeping the story alive only makes the "Rocafella" documentary coming TBD even bigger. Why would he stay quiet about something people still obviously care about when he hasn't even attempted to monetize it yet?
I thought this was great, insightful. Itâs really easy to criticize with hindsight advantage, but nobody knows how theyâd handle hard situations in life till theyâve actually done it.
That's the reason Jay Z is rich and Damon Dash is broke
His kids have to tell him to move on bro. This is just plain sad at this point.
Damn smh ..can this dude EVER do a interview without talking about Jay Z??!! Nobody want to hear NOTHING this dude got to say which is why Jay Z the only thing he can talk about.
Keep interviewing Dame! Always love his interviews!
Jay-Z is worth 2.5 billion he can call it selling out or most people would say Jay-Z learned to do business on that big level dame still talks like well I do business but Iâma keep real which means you will only reach a certain level
Dame needs to learn some manners as well.
Damon Dash has super Taurus energyâŠemotional and is not afraid to be vulnerable. Not always a bad thing. The suit and tie doesnât control him
Still talking about how he helped build another man.đ
Watch the whole video. Thats not all that he talks about. And he was asked.
Embarrassing isnât it.
He doing an interview answering questions. Why not just appreciate his honesty ?
â@@shaneweathers3319 who says it's honest?? It's just his side of the story
â@@shaneweathers3319 he was not asked about jay directly, he brought jay up
Damon just sour grapes... Jay Z is in another level. Guy is feeling jealous. One needs to feel go if guys are doing well
Naw Dame exposing how fake Jay-Z is
@@nicopettiford-topaz253 word thats what i get
Dame was lighting that blunt regardless đ
đ, itâs crazy. I never hear Jay z complaining and giving wisdom when he was the underdog and Dameâs partner. But soon as Jay Z takes the rap game underneath his wings, itâs been a bunch of shet. Itâs like me working underneath my uncle in the lawn care business and then I take over the lawn care industry, now my uncle wanna throw shade and talk this humble shet, u wasnât talking that humble shet when I was pushing the lawn mower or weed eating millions of acres combined and getting pennies on thousands of dollars đ. When u was getting that $$$$$$$$$$ on Jayâs back it was all good just a week ago. Now itâs preach and being humble while Jay making billions and being humble in the music business. Jay encouraged Kanye to becoming a rap artist.
Jay-Z is đ„. Everyone loses then they start getting philosophical and bullshit
Jay is living in Dameâs head rent free!đ§ đ„
Heâs been doing everything for the past 10 years, except sleeping well! đŽ
He always says a fucking whole mouth full! 2:22 -2:40 đđđđđđđđ I felt that shit. I feel the same way man.
That is the problem when people stick more to the bag and be selfish, instead to build through the vision from the start!!!
DAME is one of the GOAT's plain and simple... I can't wait for the TV show or film about these guys and Roc-A-Fella!
Watch âDeath of a Dynastyâ
He sounds bitter, but still a lot to learn from him.
@@kame99023 Sounds trill to me, you wouldnât have liked what happened, and yes plenty to learn
I can wait.
Dame acts as if he was a higher ranking co-owner of Rocafella than Hov. Yall were even. A third in the partnership!
When he asked can we smoke in here and instantly said light it
Jay Z did say in his raps IM A BUSINESSMAN
Truth. Real artist care about the art, community, people not just money.
Dame is the dude. I gotta hear more. Whereâs part 2 & 3 & 7?
OhâŠI see it now đ€Ł Iâm about to watch
This topic still affects him.. you can see the emotion on his face..
Ok I see now Dame is mad at jayz âs success after the split up âŠhe just said when rappers run other rappers it doesnât work but jay has been successful at it for the past 15 years he ran a label def jam roc nation while still being a MC
My man gotta stop. He gotta relax! My guy it was damn near 20 years ago and every conversation is about Jay. Dude ain't Blue like 12? Stop answering questions about this man and just keep doing cool shit!
Dame Dash's isn't "bitter" or "jealous". Dame is the type of person who values loyalty over money. We've all heard the saying "no good deed goes unpunished", what happened to Dame Dash was a shining example of that.
Is that why he went after Aaliyah knowing Jay z was dating her?? He even tried to make passes at Beyonce, but Beyonce cut him off and wasn't interested. IS that why he stole money from company accounts without teling Jay??? Is that why he made Cameron VP while Jay was on vacation??? Because he's such a loyal person??? GTFOH
Dame talking about he shopped Jay around to all the labels. Dame wasn't making the beats or writing the rhymes. He did what he was supposed to do. You don't get credit for what you supposed to do. You rode the gravy train and now it's over. Jay could of payed somebody $10 an hour to do that.
This sounds so true knowing how Jay z conducts himself. I want there but man it seems true.
I hope all of it is true.
If you look at old photos of Jay with the Roc, body language tells the tale
" you're not even from here" đđđđ
Dame it's time to let that hurt go it's getting ridiculous now damn
Jay-z fans hate hearing anything wrong about their idol. These comments are nuts. Heâs absolutely human and he can do wrong people đ
I am not jayz fan but dame is liar
This guy is very very wise.
Jay had a sit down with dame man to manđclearly dame would have ran jay down to the ground! Jay was only the artist !! Until he mad that massive power move!! Nobody died! Everybody got paid, some more then othersđit's a win for both parties
This man made a career off talking about Jay I bet that's all he talks about all day liđ
Too much Sam rostein... make another one "
