Welcome to the official Travel Beans CZcams channel! On this channel, you’ll find a variety of travel and vlog content, in which you’ll see us in places like Thailand, Japan, USA, Slovenia, and more.
In 2017 we left home with just £500 in our bank account and a dream to make a sustainable travel lifestyle happen! We are now living our dream as digital nomads and want to inspire you to create your own story, whatever it may be!
After 5 years of aimless, yet enjoyable, backpacking around the world we found ourselves in New York City battling with depression. At this point, we decided to go home and confront this problem head-on. After 6 tough months at home we decided to go away again, but this time with a goal in mind.. to turn travel into a lifestyle.
Our time spent battling depression has influenced our outlook on life dramatically! We are now traveling the world in search of what makes us happy. In our vlogs, we talk openly and honestly about our travel experiences, the digital nomad life and depression. We hope our videos can help to inspire you to create a life that makes you happy!

Talking about Italy's best kept secrets (there are lots of them), I can suggest you.
    1) Circeo (the place of Circe the enchantress), and the Ponza and Palmarola islands (the best sea (rent a boat)).
    2) The Alban Hills, aka the Roman Castles, (where I live). The area inhabited by the Latini centuries before the foundation of Rome. Plenty of nice towns, beautiful low mountains with nice trekking routes, two beautiful lakes, lots of pre roman ruins, good food et cetera.
    3) Monte Livata.
    4) Campo Imperatore.
    5) the Umbria region.
    6) Abruzzo's national parks.
    7) The Montecassino abbey.
    8) Road SR 609.
    9) Sperlonga, Gaeta and the Domiziana road.
    10) And many many others.
By the way, you did a wonderful job. Excellent videos (I enjoyed particularly the videos in Salento).

FANTASTIC video! No mention of the typical Rome-Florence-Venice tour, (almost) no stereotypes, some very interesting (and true) "different" things and places.
Now I have a mission for you: discover and tell the world also the "forgotten" parts of Italy: Appennini, Northwest, the South in general, characteristic cities of intermediate dimensions.
As an Italian who loves to understand how the foreigners see us, I enjoyed very much your video, one of the best I've ever watched in this category!

When I went in 2004 we stayed in a convent in Rome with a roof garden over looking the Coliseum.
Train ride all over Italy was great as well, had a garbage strike that blocked the tracks which left us sort of stranded on the island of Sicily.
Took the ferry over to the mainland and trains, buses and taxis we made it back to Rome. The Nuns thought something bad had happened to us and had contacted the Police, all due to a garbage strike.
    Had a wonderful trip too.

That’s a very good list well presented. We love Italy, although it’s a fair distance from Melbourne we have still visited many times.
    Italians do it better !!!!!!!🇮🇹

Hi, Italy is beautiful, but I swear to you that by far the most beautiful sea in the Mediterranean area is that of Sardinia. And you can't really understand it until you see it. Go there and see it with your own eyes.

Yes! I agree! If you'll ever plan a visit to Sardinia (Sardegna in Italian), I reccomed visiting "Costa Smeralda" to the NE - Towns like Porto Cervo, Porto Rotondo, or the little isle of "Tavolara" just off the coast; while there, I strongly reccomend hiring a small boat and visit beaches like "Cala di Volpe", "Mortorio - Le piscine" and "Spiaggia di Ira". Also to the NE of Sardegna you can find beatiful places like "La Maddalena" and "Spiaggia dei Budelli". To the SW instead, I strongly reccomend visiting "Calasetta"; it's a little "off-the -beat", thus not so crowded, but the sea is absolutely fantastic!
