That's a genuinely world-class (quick but useful) review - and no I'm not kidding - of two cars that we're looking at. Really appreciate your view (and Angel's and your car-loving friends) on everything you drive, and this was fun and informative. My wife and I arrived back in NZ 10 years ago and bought a 2005 Fit 1.5 V-Tec with 56K kms as a run-around. We still have it and drive it every single day. 145,000kms now and the only thing we had to fix was one seized brake caliper 3 years ago. Quiet, smooth, fun, the magic seats, and we love it. The new one - especially the RS - is tempting as a town car that's for sure. Thanks guys.
Thanks man yeah I do my best to keep them informative, entertaining and reasonably brief. Glad you enjoyed it and would recommend either as a replacement for sure!
I really wish we had these in Australia...
You can import one 😊
You guys get the civic and accord hybrid though!
@@KiwiCarLife Yeah, at Audi prices tho
Yeah me too. Honda Aus have lost the plot by dropping the jazz from their lineup
Nice review and comparison, two pretty nice cars, I like that fuel economy figure!
The new model has some clever tech and really zips along!
Thanks man! And yep it’s soooo efficient
Always been a fan of the Jazz since it came out.
They’re great cars
Great job with your videos as always! Nissan do something similar to the newer Honda Jazz (where the petrol engine is just a generator). Would be keen to see your take on the Nismo Note S E Power if you ever got hold of one for the channel. Cheers!
Yeah it is the Nismo Note S Epower. Cool looking car & the S version is higher spec than the rest & from what i've seen is that they are quicker than the latest Jazz. Driven the Latest Jazz Rs & it is an awesome fun car, only thing that i don't like about it is the front, reminds me of that character from Futurama.
Yeah the nismo note and jazz have similar drivetrains. Would be an interesting comparison for sure!
Great little cars the newest one seems to borrow the technology and concept from a Nismo note e-power. And that is a good thing.
Given Honda launched this style hybrid powertrain in the 2013 accord hybrid, and Nissan released it in 2016 I think Honda came first!
@@KiwiCarLife aah ok i didnt know that. Interesting. My first experience with it is from the Note.
Actually testdrove the 2023 Jazz e:HEV, pre-facelift. Drove really naturally coming out of an accord, got excellent fuel economy (3.9L/100K), also pretty quiet.
But the merge onto the highway... coming out a similar power Accord you had.. there wasn't enough there. This new model has like 12HP more I think, but still.
And then there's the price... 36K euro for the basespec. 40K for a 2023 Civic basespec. Just...Dutch prices man. I can see why Honda struggles here.
That’s nuts man they’re $37,000nzd here. Makes them pretty good value for money. Definitely a little more than the competition but it’s also a nicer car
Aww man they ditched the 6MT? I loved the CRZ as a daily
Yeah no more manual sadly. The manual CR-Z and Fit RS they had back in 2011 were cool
Beautiful episode
@@ezrabennett thanks man, you’ll approve of these cars!
Awesome comparison between the two generations! I have driven both just recently and I have to completely agree! The new RS is a genuinely fun car to drive for car people despite it's main target market!
Also that learner BMW driver too, just wow haha...
Yeah honestly I had heaps of fun driving it! Honda still knows how to make a great drivers car.
And yeah they’ve got some “learning” to do!
I am looking forward to picking up mine at the end of the year.
@@pugflyer end of the year? There’s stock available now surely
Yes, but I can't get the money to pay for it until then.
@@pugflyer ohhh yes makes sense well when the time is right I would recommend!
_Honda Power 💪🏼 _*_AND_*_ economy! … really impressive, considering a VT Commodore 5ltr V8 auto had a claimed 0-100kph of around 7.8-7.9 seconds and triple the economy 😁_ … _-yeh I know not the same class but how times have changed-_
I know right!
Hi mate, nice review.
Honda NZ announced Civic 11 coming soon in e:hev trim. I am hesitant about choosing Civic 11 ehev or Accord 10 hybrid (there are a few available in NZ).
Any advice from you ?
Cheers
I’d go for the Civic, NZ new and brand new model rather than a few years old. It should be out early 2025
Спасибо большое за контент. Мне очень понравилось!
@@budniyevgeny yes
Great review as always, thanks. Glad to see they improved the looks from the egg/bug look that was massively outdated & rather ugly. This 2024 model is much nicer.
Yeah absolutely man!
@@KiwiCarLife hehe I'm actually a girl! My petrolhead tendencies come from my grandmother. She collected vintage cars. :)
A Honda Fit hybrid with a 7 speed dual-clutch? That's pretty crazy. As an american watching euro car reviews always feels like these brands are cheating on me
Haha yep very weird gearbox for a Honda! They’ve already ditched it haha
I wonder how it compares to the Nissan Note, they all look like nice city commuters
Think they are very similar, the note has an almost identical 0-100. The first gen e12 epower notes are probably the best value for money cars you can buy at the moment.
The Jazz is a much “nicer” car but the note is definitely efficient
@@KiwiCarLife Definitely but are 3x the price
Who knew the older fit was as fast as that ! 3-4 secs faster than a current swift, a mitsi asx or some ford Rangers. Lol
You are talking Rs here so for a fair comparison it goes up against the Swift Sport which is about the same at around 8.5sec 0-100kph
Yeah man it’s super quick for what it is!
That fake gear-change behaviour of the new car is so cringey.
It is a little but at least it sounds half decent unlike the Civic Type R.
Yeah and I’d much rather it did fake shifts than just smash limiter all day
