For the first spiderman, he sure looks like the green goblin.
Maybe a talented writer could connect the two together, almost connecting all the goblins together ( the goblin force, goblin queen, and the green golin) as a meta relationship to spider totems, I mean most of spiderman's interesting villains have an animal theme ( or element based) excluding the goblin.. I mean they could mix in Kraven the original hunter and Anasi having to work with someone to take down the cosmic hunters and that person turning on them and become the goblin when they hunt the hunt and possibly eat him... I don't think spiderman writers are that creative tho
Well, green is low key the color of life from what I read in color theory. But it also could stand for corruption I think.

To be fair, spidey writers literally came up with the idea of spider totems in the 1st place.
Another came up with symbiotes, Inheritors, etc.
I think it's smarter to connect the goblins to demons. As it's been explained norman became the way he was due to mephistos influence.

Spidey’s always been more of a loner type hero. He teams up with people, but he doesn’t really _do_ teams all that often. This guy may’ve just been the first to jumpstart this trend.

@@mr_nosnow8585 That’s probably true, but if nothing else, it’s a fun headcanon to have. You can always trust Editorial to go back and change stuff so it’s more in line with their vision of how Spidey and all related media should be tho. I half expect them to actually rewrite this guy into a loner just to make it seem predestined or something that Peter has the life he has.

@@kennethsatria6607 I guess but peter often is telling teams especially in the original run to go bug off, he beat up the fantastic four after trying to join, took on the x-man and if I remember correctly the avengers, thats why I get those vibes from Spidey

Ah yes, another Spider-Man that has to be a different race and far stronger than first because they couldn't be original and create their own characters without ripping off Spider-Man. I'm tired of that anti-white hate garbage they force in all of the creations in this day and age. Like they got butthurt that being participation trophy recipients won't allow them to create something without using somebody else works first and ruining what was already there. As the saying goes, "evil can only destroy."
I mean Anansi predates Spiderman as a mythological figure. So I wouldnt say this is the same case.
Wish his design was more ancient and mystical looking though, and maybe slightly older in human form. But Maybe the Spiderverse film can fix that.
