I love how honest you are about the snacks slip-ups. And I agree with you that cutting sugar out completely will lead us to having really bad craving and a higher chance to Bing later .
can't speak for anyone else but when I don't eat sugar (I regularly cut out all refined sugar for about a month at a time) I find that I stop craving sugar after a few days and start craving fruit or other natural sugars instead. It's only when I start eating sugar again that I start craving it
Your dad has some mad skills! I avoided sugar for years. My tastebuds really did change to the point where things such as grapefruit taste overly sweet. It isn't difficult in terms of being tempting but the problem is it really limits life. Because sugar happens and life is more fun when you can participate. No sugar really does make for a dull gal. Also, I experience a lot of bloating so sugar has nothing to do with it. I think there is too much concern about food. Far healthier to have a relaxed attitude about food. You seem to have a healthy approach to food. Keep eating sugar because you are fine as you are. Actually, you help me have a better relationship with food.
After this week I totally realised life is TOOOOO short, you only get one life to live so why worry about what you are eating, YOLOOOO and all that (but also eat your fruits and veggies kids, and drink water)
I totally agree with you! I was very restrictive with food for awhile, trying so hard to avoid things "unhealthy", and especially sugar. That lead to me having to spend sooo much time thinking about it, always bringing a snack of my own in my bag, and being the one eating a banana, or a raw bar when my friends ate ice creams. Now, I'm trying to eat what I feel like, and I've com to remember how much I love food?! Like it's so much more tastier? So really, I think having a healthy relationship with food really isn't about cutting out sugar, but just about eating and enjoying it :)
True, true. being healthy does not mean `Dont eat sugar at all` You can have it once in a while, not every day, but you can have days where you need to enjoy life and eat a little sugar or your fave foods, junk food once in a while is also ok, dont be to restrictive:)!
seriously... I cut down on sugar and after a week I actually cut it out of all my drinks and minimized my sugary treats to at least 70% less than before and I honestly haven't seen a bigger change on my body than with cutting out sugar. my body and my face and every part of my body has de-bloated so so much. I haven't lost weight, but I seem like I have lost about 10kg. and that's just from cutting down on sugar and having a quite healthy diet. I haven't stopped eating junk, just minimized the amount. I haven't stopped eating desserts, just minimized it. I tried to get used to putting no kind of sweetener in my drinks for almost a month so that my body can get used to the taste. it was kinda hard but not really. after that month I started using stevia or honey and some drinks I keep drinking them black. it's not THAT difficult to cut it out of your diet. and take that from a person who used to put 4-5 tablespoons of sugar in their hot CHOCOLATE (not cocoa. CHOCOLATE!).
Thank you for your honesty. (0.0) I'm trying to watch how much sugar I consume right now; but if I wasn't, I would totally be trying that hot chocolate idea. Lol

This is so funny because i've been sugar-free since i was born thanks to my parents, i tried different bars with sugars and still eat sugar when i go out, but in my every-day life i'm vegan and sugar-free! And it's funny because it takes no effort to me: like for breakfast i can have vegan yogurt (there are plenty of them without sugar) with fruits and cinnamon, or make oatmeal with oats, plantbased milk (plenty without sugar too), fruits, raisins, dates, nuts, peanutbutter, jelly (a lot of them are sugar free actually!), or even bread with jam. For lunch i just make big salads (lot of different vegetables) with rice-cakes/bread/quinoa/potatoes and for dinner legumes, a type of complex carb and cooked vegetables. As for snacks i go for fruits, homemade cakes or biscuits but at the supermarket and at the organic shop there are plenty of sugar-free bars, sugar-free cookies, sugar-free cereals even if you can make your own ones which is much cheaper and store them for the entire week! Then i also think that to see the positive effect you should go longer without sugar: body and mind take longer to detoxify from loads of bad food! If you eat tons of crisps it won't work that much for sure!
Try it for a month In such a short time it doesn't really do anything especially with your skin In such short time your skin is gonna get worse but if you keep it going for longer it will get better Not only your skin
I’m currently on a no sugar no flour diet. Which is really difficult. I find sugar is one of the hardest things to cut out of your diet. Mainly due to the addition of it. 1 year ago I went on a completely raw food diet without any processed sugar, just natural sugars from fruit and I did include dates and honey which is better for the body and helped put my sugar cravings at bay. The first 2 weeks of giving up sugar though, I went through a detox and had what you are describing, lots of uncomfortable symptoms and lack of sleep etc. Once that passed I felt amazing and had much better skin and energy. It’s just getting through those initial weeks. Great video and good on you for trying 💖

No, the hunger is real, but it's from sugar. U should maybe try eating more fiber along with protein, that should probably fill you up more than crisps.

Am I dull because I skip the cake? Quite frankly, I don't give a damn- my health comes FIRST! ;-)
Alright, for everyone in the comments saying fruit is high in sugar so it's bad for you: listen up. Fruit is a complex carb. The sugar is naturally occurring, not added, and is paired with fiber which helps take the sugar through your system. Fruit is also high in vitamins and antioxidants, which are both obviously good for you. It is also a great way to cut processed sugar and still satisfy your sweet tooth cravings! I cut all processed sugar and sugar substitutes for two months and ate fruit and veggies instead and *lost weight* and had higher energy. Felt great. EVERYTHING IN MODERATION EVERYONE! Cutting out an entire food group isnt healthy despite the fad diet's claims.
I did a 30 day Daniel fast where we couldn't eat sugar meat and basically, anything processed or with preservatives. And like you the first week i felt absolutely terrible. But it takes you body at least like 2 weeks to fully detox all the sugar and things on the inside. But after the first week i felt a lot better. You did really well tho for the five days you did with out sugar considering every five seconds you eat dairy-free white chocolate! I love your videos and great job trying to go nonsugar for 5 days. 😍💓
Stevia doesn't react in the body as much as normal sugar. Everything spikes glucose but some more then others so its impossible to do no sugar... only low sugar.
I did a week long sugar free diet, and the only thing I really noticed was my mood. I totally went through withdrawal and then life just felt so much better I was so happy, but I went right back on to the sugar. Proved I could do it and then went back.
Don'tlet them bug you. You're doing greatamd it is fun watching you. Since I livedin the 49s and 50s it is interesting to see how far removed you young people feel about what is normal to me.
I had very little sugar for 5 years. You eat a lot of green vegetables, meat, and cheese. Lots of cream cheese too. I takes about a month to switch in to, but it was truly the most healthy I've been. (Keto) it's certainly difficult and not for everyone.
I did 5 years of less than 15g of carbs (which is also sugar). You get really used to meat and cheese. I ate a lot of "dips" as meals. Like I had a green chili chicken enchilada dip a lot. It's definitely something you have to commit to. You get used to making bigger portions so you can have left overs through the work week.
Seaweed is amazing! Good call! But some of them are sticky with sugar or syrup or other forms of sugar - you have to check the packet and look for coded names for sugar.
I really appreciate the idea and effort but honestly to feel the true effects of no sugar it takes more than a week. As someone who did Whole 30 (no sugar, no grains, no soy, no dairy), I can attest that the first 3-5 days are the absolute worst because your body is completely readjusting but after that period was over, I truly never wanted to go back. I realized sugar was making me feel sluggish and that my life was better off with it being less prominent in my diet. Hope this helped! Love your videos❤️
Grapes are _very_ high in sugar, as are pears and peaches. Carrots have a bit of sugar in them both as it comes and glucose chained into starch but not a lot so that's good, olives are low sugar and salad leaves, the amount of dressing that we add to salads doesn't bring much sugar either, crisps are almost entirely glucose (sugar) chained into starch. Corn cakes are mostly glucose chained into starch.

ahhhh anytime, any other challenges you want me to try?!
Grackle Going vegan for a day! 😃
Great editing grace! Sugar is literally in everything now days
Anna Nguyen thanks so much!! And I know it’s honestly ridiculous!
I feel like you love the Nakd bars, because dates are like caramel. But all natural and I love them as well!
Artificial sweetners like xylitol, erythritol, stevia are fine but it depends on your insulin resistance, so it’s different for everyone :)
Stevia doesn't react in the body as much as normal sugar. Everything spikes glucose but some more then others so its impossible to do no sugar... only low sugar.
I give you lots of credit for showing the good and bad of how food affects you.
I never realized food affects everyone differently.
Your skin glowing in this video!!
I've been trying to cut out more sugar its so hard
The editing of this is sick!!!!
I did a week long sugar free diet, and the only thing I really noticed was my mood. I totally went through withdrawal and then life just felt so much better I was so happy, but I went right back on to the sugar. Proved I could do it and then went back.
Omg I love lemon and sugar on my pancakes too.
You inspired me to give it a try with this sugar free diet. I will start with one day and I will see how it goes. Love ya 😘
In sweden its only ''accepted '' to eat candy at saturdays, we call it Lördagsgodis. Its also kinda accepted at fridays
Don'tlet them bug you. You're doing greatamd it is fun watching you. Since I livedin the 49s and 50s it is interesting to see how far removed you young people feel about what is normal to me.
im going to use the term “gassy girl” more often.
Just like me 😁😂😂I'm hungry all the time!!
Story of my life
You kill me😂😂😂😂😂 so glad I just found your channel
Omg! Love a girl with a healthy appetite!!!
I had very little sugar for 5 years. You eat a lot of green vegetables, meat, and cheese. Lots of cream cheese too. I takes about a month to switch in to, but it was truly the most healthy I've been. (Keto) it's certainly difficult and not for everyone.
Yeah, Its nice to try new things and see if it works for you or not!
Can you do a week without gluten?
How do you create a video like this? With the editing at the beginning?
I’m gonna be poopin alllll mornin with all this fiber. 😆 Bless your heart.
MYbe your body goes through a “purging” phase when you first cut out sugar
I did 5 years of less than 15g of carbs (which is also sugar). You get really used to meat and cheese. I ate a lot of "dips" as meals. Like I had a green chili chicken enchilada dip a lot. It's definitely something you have to commit to. You get used to making bigger portions so you can have left overs through the work week.
21!!! You look 16
Edit: I have just scrolled down and seen how many people have said this I didn’t copy
Love your videos❤️
this is interesting as I haven't had any processed sugars in like a year! I find it quite easy, just incredibly limiting
