Allegations that opens himself up to legal action as his accusing Vada and the testing Lab to be dodgy. I'm not convinced Benn makes allegations like that without the necessary evidence. @@thembimafu676 to clarify, my point is that as boxing fans we need progress in this field of testing and the accountability process because it is so evidently flawed exposed by this saga, this in the long run could get us to the progression and governance that we need. It's how a common law system works for example. If a law or governance system doesn't work as intended we need it to be fixed, like a court order does for the legal system. No system will be 100% efficient unless it is stress tested and improved. This is where I disagree with Simon's defence of the BBBoC, it need improvement and modernisation, it's not a perfect system so Simon backing the BBBoC is also flawed because they are also part of this flawed ecosystem that creates these situations regularly.

How is Simon not asking the question why are the WBC trying to defend Conor? Is it not blatantly obvious that the only reason you'd come up with an excuse for someone who you're not trying to defend is to get heat off yourself? The only logical sense in this is that what Conor is saying is in fact true. Why hasn't anyone took a step back and thought what if what he's saying is true? A very interesting line from that statement that wasn't mentioned here, was that his sample was tested four times and the 1st three had a negative result and the forth positive. As someone who works as a scientist in a testing laboratory, that is very dubious. There could have been an instrument problem, i.e detector or sample introduction issue. However if the fourth result can back positive you must test this a fifth time to either validate or rule out the fourth positive test. Their analytical process needs looking at.

That's because the substance BJS tested positive for, Oxilofrine, is only "banned in competition" by WADA and UKAD rules. Meaning it's only a breach if the fighter tests positive on the day (because it's a common substance in over the counter medicine and, serves only to aid in breathing), Saunders tested positive weeks prior to the fight. Only VADA bans it entirely so, it was a simple mistake as a result of ignorance and/or poor advice.
The substance Benn has failed for is banned entirely, by all testing agencies as it's a hormone regulator.
