To be fair that’s not the scherzer we see today. Also doesn’t help everyone that ranger lineup could murder your era
Scherzer still chokes in the postseason though, even in back to back Cy Young seasons with the Nats. His postseason chokes are one of the big reasons why the Nats haven't advanced beyond the division series with one of the best clubs in the majors.

Watching the good/great years of the Rangers at this time was painful for me solely because of Adrian Beltre, whom I feel the Dodgers really screwed themselves over for not re-signing after 2004. What a Hall of Fame talent (like Piazza and Pedro and many others) they lost due to greed and idiocy.

Never had more fun watching a sports team than I did watching the 2011 rangers.
That 2011 rangers team was the best team in the playoffs. You had the right players playing together with experience. That should’ve been the year they won. That team was probably the best rangers I can remember. You can only guess what could’ve been if they won the World Series.

on paper the Texas Rangers were the best team in Baseball in 2011, however in Baseball it is not always the best team who win the Worl Series...

They had the top offense in all of baseball that year.
Umpires got it wrong on the Nelson Cruz check swing, but otherwise, this game was a great example of postseason slaughter.

The Rangers got snubbed home field advantage because of a stupid rule that said whoever won the all star game got World Series home field advantage and the NL won it. The rangers likely would’ve finished it off if it were in Arlington
