I work at a store that sells kitchens and want to share some important info:
Induction makes the glass top less hot than electric, but it still gets pretty hot because the pan heats it up - SO PLEASE DON'T TOUCH THE GLASS RIGHT AFTER COOKING.
As it works with magnetism, it also only works with magnetic pans, so keep that in mind when choosing a stove. 🐸♥️

Induction is great but don’t forget you’ll need specials pots and pans that work with it. An electric glass top would likely be the best. Don’t get the glass hood if you cook a lot with oil they just always look dirty
My family always does gas stove only when we shop for a new stove. When you have a gas stove, you can cook at all times and you're not completely dependent on electricity. It's totally come in handy for when the power has gone out after storms!
warning if you do induction you have to get specific pots and pans which can double or triple the cost of the stove! my mom got it and yeah it's great for clean up and no more burnt food but also she had to replace all of her cookwear and that shiz is expensive.

I know you've already bought it, and depending on the condo's ability to have it and your comfort with gas stoves/ovens I understand not getting it, but as someone with a gas stove and who's power goes out often (I live in TX and our power went out this year and last year with those horrible snow storms) having the gas was a literal life saver bc we were able to heat our food, boil water for drinking and bathing etc. It's a bit of upkeep with food, but once you get used to it, it's a wonderful appliance to have!

Ah I loved seeing you pick out different appliances - you do have good taste! It's crazy how something simple such as a faucet or a handle can have such a big impact on the overall vibe of the place.
I've just finished a full reno and it's crazy how expensive everything is compared to here (i'm from barcelona!) like every time i saw a price tag i was like "whAAAAAAAT"

Only half-way through the video so not sure if/what you decided on yet, but if you did go with chrome fixtures and changed your mind down the line and wanted them to be brass or gold, instead of spending loads of money on new faucets you could always just buy a gold or brass spray paint and DIY them! That way you can make sure they're all the same brass/gold colour too :)
Hi! Something about stoves from a person who moved a lot and used a couple of different kinds of stoves: gas stoves are the easiest to cook on, because the temperature below the pan changes imediately when you change it. You do, of course, need a gas connection in your kitchen. Induction is also pretty easy to cook on, and it's the fancyest of the electrical stove options. Your pans do need to be really flat on the bottom, and also magnetic, or they won't transfer the heat, so forget about cheap aluminium pans. They don't work. Infra-red is an older version of electrical cooking, it responds a bit slower but is still okay to cook on. Full on old fashioned electrical plates or wire stove tops are horrible to cook on. You'll have to re-learn cooking, because it is simply not possible to go from hot to a bit colder within a minute.
That's my experience (living in the Netherlands).

I'm sure you already bought all you needed but I was cringing a bit to the "a stove is a stove" part ! Some stoves consumes a LOT of energy and it can add up your bills, also it's a thing you don't want to change every 10 years so it may be interesting to buy a nicer one if it's a better quality. I honestly prefer gaz for cooking but if you're not a cooker or have children/are clumsy, induction is good too. Be aware it can break as it's glass. I also hated the fact it shows every handprints ever 😂
In France I have a table stove with a build in oven, is it not possible for you ? There a lot more cuter option this way in my opinion

I’m only halfway through but a quick tip on the stove top. I know the ones with the raised back seem easier to clean, but they’re not. When you cook and you get little oil splatters on that back part, stuck amongst the dials and bits, it’s going to be close to impossible to clean. Especially with oil. There’s a good reason the flat back ones are more expensive. Much easier to clean food that may fall in the vents and sprays on your splash back than trying to get into the nooks and crannies of the raised part. This is based on my experience with both kinds of oven.
it's so funny to see those gas stoves and stuff cause in my country we don't really use those, most modern apartments have an induction stovetop and slightly older ones have electric ones! the flat ones in this vid looked really good but sounded expensive indeed
You should consider the stove that allows you to see the backsplash. I recently switched and it makes the kitchen feel larger!

The bathroom cabinets are so nice!! Also, little tip. We have a square sink and it's really hard to clean, so do not recommend that
1:48 yoooo kinda trippy that sales associate has the same skirt I have (it’s from h/m) and I too wear it to work for my retail job.
I know it's probably late, but you can always add a slight drop ceiling of drywall, that way you can install recessed lighting.

Its also quite funny (as a european) how different so many things are I never realised! Like the "stoves" are almost always built in the kitchen, they are never really a separate thing. That just blew my mind hahaha here if you have it separate like in north America, its usually in really old houses, now its just cheaper so all the new houses and flats always have them built in).
Do you have a professional inspector that checks for the mistakes!? I think it's amazing how they find small things that can cause huge issues in the future!

You really changed my mind on how to choose stuff for a home. Cleaning is definately an important factor as well as availability. I know this Is a smaller and maybe sillier example but in my country the brand of phone I had was leaving our country but cz I was so in love with the brand I bought the phone despite it. I love my phone but if I ever needed anything for it, I'd have to order it internationally and that would be wayyyy above my costs from if I got it in my actual country

if the power goes off in your building a gas stove will continue working, with an electric stove you'll have to wait until the power's restored
I know you already chose your appliances but as a heads up Home Depot should have an appliance expert or almost any store that you go to that has appliances should have an expert to help explain the differences in types as well as what you can/can’t do depending on your place as well
My local home depot is super understaffed so the line to wait for the expert was like an hour 🥲🥲

My grandma has a gas stove. You have to pay for the propane and use a match to light up the burner after you turn the knob for it. At least, that's how hers works.
