    year late, but if you need to move the peep for any reason, can you press the bow and slide it up or down? or will you need to remove and re-serve?

      @@mgrundy With this method, no you won’t be able to slide the peep up or down. You’d need to set the right peep height and then tie in the peep in.

    If I’m helping a customer, we get his/her peep height set and tied in, then after 20-30 shots he/she decides it needs to go up/down a smidge, is this method moveable without a complete re-tie?

      @GASBowstrings  Před rokem +3

      No, unfortunately, with this method, you would completely have to re-tie in the peep to the string every time you wanted to move it. The point with this method is that you won't have to worry about the peep moving or your servings shifting on you if they were tied in loosely. You won't have to worry about the peep shifting around on the string creating fray either. What you could do in this instance would be to tie a safety tie around the center of the peep (4 wraps around the peep and finished off with a knot) just as a temporary tie in the spot they think will work, then let them shoot some shots with it. Then if after some shots, if they feel it needs to move up/down a little, you will be able to make that change and slide the peep to where it needs to be then use the peep tying method in this video as the permanent tie once they find the perfect peep position.

    peep twist has been the bane of my existance. gotta give it a 1/4 turn before every shot. the bow tech i go to says everyone deals with it.

      If it’s less than 1/4 turn, push your Dloop in the direction of the peep….that should straighten it out. If more than that add/remove twists as appropriate (I’ve found strings with too few twists will not settle in reliably and adding enough twists to make the peep do a full turn will often stabilize peep rotation issues)

      A properly built string should not have any rotation after the string has been shot in a few shots. Once it’s been shot in, it fully seats in the cam tracks, then you should have years of good peep alignment

      If I have to adjust my peep after every shot I would get a quality string

    You should really go farther away from the peep while you show us all. Just a little further like another mile man…. It’s like listening to someone tell you how without seeing it. Then in the end show the finished product…. See guys it’s that easy!!! Come on dude!!!

    Can’t even see what you’re doing

    First! And with all those knots it'll be a bear to remove that peep without cutting a strand on your strings.

      Actually, if you burn the frays at either the top or bottom of the peep as we show in the video, that gives you a good place to cut that burned area without risking cutting your string. From there unraveling the serving is pretty easy!
