Uchimata and O-Goshi, for example, our hip oriented throws where you are stepping across and pulling them to you.... In O-Guruma, you step AWAY from them while pulling them over you.... This was the key for me in unlocking it because it's great off of a takedown attempt or anything where you're going to want to pull away from your opponent. O-Guruma is very easy to hit off a single or double leg if you can secure an overhook, step away from them, and then do a big backstep to get DEEP behind their legs while also pulling them over your hip and leg. When I was his student, I won the 17 and under Jr openweight division, at the southwest championship, and I was 113 lbs at the time. Learned this around 9th or 10th grade in HS wrestling bc our assistant coach was a ranked in judo after his college wrestling. Works alot. Solid shit
