How to Use A Pasture Grazing Stick / Measuring Pasture Forage

Learning how to use a pasture grazing stick can be very beneficial to livestock farmers. With just a few measurements you can calculate the amount of dry matter per acre inch. This is great to determine how long a paddock/pasture will last your herd.

To be honest, after you move cattle enough you can judge it with your eyes. I don't use the grazing stick very much but I guess it's handy when I need it.
