- In today's vlog we try new restaurants around the island and we had really great meals at all of them! We also finally got to explore the local shops while it was raining. We found some really fun stuff and we'll show you more in tomorrow's vid. Then we end the vlog with the last sunset of the trip, it was a wonderful way to end such an amazing vacation! We had a blast and we hope you had fun joining us at our favorite Florida beach! Thank you for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

Thank you internet! Flotsam and jetsam are terms that describe two types of marine debris associated with vessels. Flotsam is defined as debris in the water that was not deliberately thrown overboard, often as a result from a shipwreck or accident. Jetsam describes debris that was deliberately thrown overboard by a crew of a ship in distress, most often to lighten the ship's load. The word flotsam derives from the French word floter, to float. Jetsam is a shortened word for jettison.

We had a rental property on AMI for 16 years but sold it last year. I love seeing “our” island through your eyes. It’s a very special place. And here’s a tip: a good rainy day activity is visiting the hand carved circus at the Ringling Museum. I think Jackson would love it.

Some people in the UK love to walk on beaches, my dad sometimes used to walk off on holiday to walk along the beach and he would be gone for hours just walking along the beach
Jenn - the beach life really agrees with you. Such a cute little island.
Love love love AMI we used to go for the whole of December as a family. Took my husband for our honeymoon and stayed on the island. Island life is just so chill, love the rod and reel pier, I used to go fishing there and the blackened chicken sandwich and the onion rings are BEAUT. You can also see the sunshine skyway from there.
We go to Siesta Key every year & Publix is our daily ritual for us as well. I love the west coast of Florida sunsets as well.

The cloud to the right of the sun during the sunset looked like mickey mouse's side profile which is cool. I want to go here so much; the food looks delicious everywhere!

Was just in Florida last week. The Clearwater/Madeira Beach area. Had a blast. Didn’t want to leave. Thanks for always sharing your beautiful trips to Anna Maira Island,definitely another one of my FAVORITE places to stay🌴

Both breakfasts breakfasts and dinner looked So good! Although rough, the Gulf looked gorgeous, as always. Pizza and salads looked delicious! Amazing food all over the island! Love shopping at al those type of shops you went into, my kind of places ' local, and a little weird. LOL

I just discovered this place earlier this week and told my hubby I wanna go next year!
Once again, so much good looking food in this vlog! Jackson seems to be getting braver--earlier in the week, it seemed like one of you caught him close to the end of the slide, but now he just goes into the water and 'swims' to someone! Also, his manatee shirt is adorable!

Beachhouse! I got lucky and was able to enjoy the sunset and watch the Stanley Cup playoffs from that place.

The week you guys were there, my family & I were at Margaritaville in Hollywood Beach & watching thirst videos makes me wish I woulda spent more time on the actual beach. We were there for 6 days & about 2 hours of that was spent at the beach. Loving the videos & planning to visit AMI one day in the near future.

When Henry Flagler built his magnificent home, Whitehall Mansion, in Palm Beach, he had it overlooking the intracoastal waterway. When asked why he didn’t build it facing the ocean, he said “The view is nicer on the intracoastal side”.
Have to show Jackson the pizza fold. What a nice day! Are there parts of the island that are less inhabited? Thank you for taking us.

I concur! We were walking in Florida years ago. Pushing my daughter in her wheelchair. Just out for a walk. A cab stopped and said ‘do you need a ride? No charge. I’ll take you wherever you need to go’. How kind was that! We told him we were out for a walk and some excersize. He laughed and said ‘man you British are mad’ 😂. We thanked him and carried on walking. The pavement ran out and we had to walk on the road. 😕. Guess he knew what we didn’t!
Y’all have to check out Mote Marine Aquarium near Sarasota next time you go to Anna Maria. Maybe 30 min drive south down the island. Beautiful drive there too.
My mom and I have a ritual the very first night we go down there, which is going to Publix and getting their subs and fried chicken!! They have the best deli meat, Boar’s Head!! I miss it there! Can’t wait to go back soon! Moneys tight unfortunately.

The columbian restuarant and the circle is technically on st armands key, just south of Longboat key.

I am amazed that the Gulf is so choppy. My experiences with the Gulf have always been “flat line”. I found it usually very boring. I always preferred ocean side. The Brits are hard-core seasiders even moreso than the Canadians. Weather does not phase them. I wish i was like that.

Great vlog! Lovely shops, and breakfast looked delicious. I really wish in the UK that our takeaway shops weren't so far behind. They are all so unhealthy. Like ofc pizza is unhealthy but you add the lovely side salad and it becomes moderately healthy. Like they do salad in UK but its no where near the salads you got there and they have zero choice it's so big standard. To be honest across the board the UK really needs to pick up on side salads and stuff. We've just been to. FLORIDA and almost every meal we got offered lovely fresh soup or salad sides with our mains. It just doesn't happen in the UK. Rant over lol
