- I travelled to Tangail to learn about village life in Bangladesh and discovered industries such as weaving and flour production that use traditional methods. It opened my eyes to how physical they are.. and how tough the people are.

I really feel so good when I see that you, a foreign vlogger, come and reach the very root level where our local vloggers fail to reach or do not find any interest. Thanks a lot from the bottom of my heart. ♥
Thanks so much! This is where my real interest lies 😍
3:52 It's called 'Tiler Khaja'(Bengali: তিলের খাজা), which is made of Sesame seed, Sugar, Milk, Cardamom and Water. "Sesame" is actually "Til" (তিল). This sweets are made in many shapes like spherical, lattened and oblong etc. Peeled sesame seeds are spread on it and the inside is slightly hollow. Some call it Tiler Toffee also.
Now I can hear it.. til! Thank you!
Thank you for the breakdown @Shahriar Nafsi
This is really amazing to see you going through all the rural places that not every visitor would do.
Even I as a Bangladeshi never had the chance to visit all of that places. But for these last two days I've seen a lot and gained some knowledge through your videos.
I have to say your tour guide is amazing too. Thanks for visiting Bangladesh ( my lovely Motherland ).
Carrie, the more I watch you, the more amazed I am. Absolutely love how kind, down to earth, and humble you are. If only more people were like you. Thank you for visiting these rural areas that not too many visit. ❤️ I can’t get enough of these Bangladesh vlogs!

Thanks so much.. I have been really touched by ex pats abroad messaging about feeling nostalgic. I didn’t expect this reaction and it’s been lovely. Thank you 😊
I like that you are portraying the real side of Bangladesh, the villages. Not only the tourist places & you look good in shalwar kamiz.Come visit Bogura one day.
Thank you! Am just sat here editing some ladies in a village making vapa pitha! Want to go back and do it all over again.. I really enjoyed my time in the village ❤️
Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩❤️
Of all the foreign vlogs I've seen of Bangladesh you are the first to visit Tangail ❤️. Great work 👏. You are welcome again.
Thanks so much! Loved Tangail. 🥰
Bengalis were famous for various clothes made of Moslin in the world during Bengal Sultanate. Bengal had also the largest silk industry.
BTW, bengali village women are so hardworking and strong.
The industrial side of Bangladesh is so impressive.. and yes they work so hard ❤️
Thanks for visiting Bangladesh. I am in new york. Everyday watching your video and i feel so proud. Thanks again and keep making video . Best wishes for you and your family.
Best wishes over in the US and thanks for watching 🥰
I absolutely love your contents. Feels like I am watching documentaries from INSIDER, no fancy music and great voice over!

@@carriepatsalis well there are small but devoted England National Team Fans Also.
But there are tons of EPL (English Premier League fans out there. Such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester U/C, Liverpool, Aston Villa etc.
@@darksoul6482 yes many people were saying Man U to me 😆
You are really different. The way you make tour is the real authentic ancient way of making tour which gives you knowledge and experience along with the enjoyment of seeing new places. Moreover you try to even try the new things...
Altogether every bit of your Vlogs are very very lovely to watch. You and your attitudes are also so pleasant to see that really mingles with the total atmostphere of the places you visit.
It's not at all easy to come from England and adjust to a new atmosphere that is seemingly too different but you can do that exquisitely. Your inquisitive mind and the details you put and tell while vlogging also make your vlogs so attractive.
Best wishes for your visit to Bangladesh and to everywhere in the world.
Many thanks for your lovely comment 😊
Thank you for visiting tangail...
Those loomers ancestor used to make famous Moslin clothes which last production was 1870 , stopped by the British.
Wow amazing history! Shame it was stopped!
Pls also visit silk factory in Rajshahi.
You can find different culture there.
this one my vallige,,❤ tangail ❤love u from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Awesome 🤩
So many prudes. This is actually part and parcel of why I can't live there anymore.
People lose their minds about such an innocuous thing as a lady in a swimming costume.
I have noticed this reaction in quite a few south East Asian countries now.. it’s a cultural difference.. I often wonder how people feel coming to a European beach. I find these differences in human thought so fascinating!
Wonderful insight into other people's lives ❤
Thanks 😊
This is what we need to see about Bangladesh
Nice portrayal of Tangail. The tea looks yum
Thank you 😊
This is absolutely stunning episode . I am really enjoying your tour in rural areas . Our many traditions have been lost which we found in our childhood . We should have retain it . After watching the rice crusher called dheyki I reached in my childhood . The use of dheyki is very scarce at the moment . Thanks to revive my memory .
I am really pleased you liked it! Thank you 😊

I love you mam! you are like someone our own. you're representing our village culture the people the traditions friendly people & their simplest lifestyle! meanwhile we can see you how nice & wonderful lady you're. I really appreciate your effort & thankful to you. ♥♥♥
Thanks a million 😊
The taste of flour made with the help of 'dhekhi' is different from that of machine. I think it's due to the air that gets inside every time they take break in between
That makes sense.. amazing to see traditional methods
Thank you so much for coming our country 🥰🥰
My pleasure 😍
Thank you Carrie.
After the establishment of British rule in India in the 19th century, 70 to 80 percent tax was levied on locally manufactured cloth, while only 2 to 4 percent tax was levied on imported cloth manufactured in Britain. As a result, the textile industry of the Indian subcontinent collapsed.
It is said that the British colonial rulers cut off the thumbs of muslin weavers to stop muslin production. But now another claim has come forward quite logically, that is, the hands of the weavers are not the British, but they cut off their own fingers, so that they don't have to do this work anymore.
Welcome from dear motherland Bangladesh
It would be exaggerated but your passionate love reminds us that a love for montheland or mother .
God bless you .
Thank you 😊
You will find out one of 'moslin' in British museum
You have an attractive personality and your vlogs are amazing . Keep it up.
4:10, it’s actually not sylhet toffee. He said “Til er toti” but the locals there say it “Taana”.

Hey... cool idea to visit Tangail District. It's just adjacent to Capital City of Dhaka and highly famous for Very own type of Tangail Sharee, 🥧 Chom Chom Sweet &🍍of Madhupur. There are few notable Jamindar Baris as well.
My own village also in Mirzapur, Tangail.
It’s a great location isn’t it.. easy to get to and feels a real retreat from city life 🥰
@@carriepatsalis indeed... dear ! 🥰
Cox’s Bazar is a must for any foreign tourists, it’s unique worlds longest beach 120km long, it has beach bazars, worlds longest marine drive. Along the marine drive there’s many different sight to beach, vast emptiness, nice resorts, some big hills with has a waterfall too.
Yes I had a good time there.. saw incredible red crabs at Inani beach!
Having said all that. I’ve never been there. Just seen youtube videos last many years. Lol. Last time I went back was 13years ago the travel distance is like 11hrs by car from Sylhet, the road wasn’t the best hence why I didnt bother to go. When they complete highways expansions and rail line direct to Coxs Bazar it will be easier to go from Sylhet.
@@hassymiia6267 yes that’s a really long drive!
