as a light novel reader the thing i hate the most is when other light novel readers start spoiling the whole show just cus the anime presented the information in a different way/time, some manga/lightnovel readers cant understand that an adaptation is not just copy paste from text to animation, example slime readers that need to explain every detail just before is mentioned next episode.
the ones I hate most are the anime fans that call all series that are psychological thrillers, slow paced, or even slightly philosophical and abstract overated trash. I can accept series like GITS, Galactic Heroes, Hell Girl, mushishi, Noir, perfect blue, ect. not bieng for everyone but it drives me up the wall that the creators of the truly unique ones get accused of being terrible writers on massive ego trips just for being more imaginative than everyone else
I remember a manga reader was going around spoiling an anime I was watching, so I read the manga to avoid spoilers and then I got spoiled by LN readers 😔

I'm the rude anime awareness vs anime acceptance guy. I thought you would mention something about that while reacting to this video but you just referred to Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece, My Hero Academia watchers, manga readers, Twitter discourse and power scaling dudes.
Being entertained by shippers vs anti-shippers wars is a great trait. If i see anything of that in comments i just laugh.
EDIT: Nisekoi was my first experience of waifu wars. Again i didn't participate but i understood the hilarity.

It's not the _most_ toxic fanbase I've experienced, but the first time I had an anime truly spoiled for me was Quintessential Quintuplets. The manga readers lost their shit when they found out who won, and they went and ruined it for the anime-only crowd (and some of them are _still_ mad).
Weirdly, though, they're also the reason I got into manga. I went and binged QQ to form my own opinion about the choice and to prevent them from spoiling anything else for me. It ended up being the first manga that I finished, and it sent me down the manga rabbithole as a result.
