I don't really care about the Suicide Squad. I was mainly interested because I heard Re:Zero author Tappei was involved. I watched episode 1 and was mildly invested, then got a few minutes into episode 2 and went, "This isn't for me" and turned it off. I figured I'd give it another shot if I heard a lot of good buzz when the rest of the episodes dropped, but that never happened so... 🤷‍♂️

Doflamingo is strong but he's also smart. Nothing good will come from fighting that dude. And as CJ said, he has bigger problems to deal with.

My favorite show of the season has been Su-side Squad Isekai, especially after Episodes 7, 9 and 10, my biggest surprises were Wistoria, Too Many Losing Heroines and Mayonaka Punch, and Best Girl title belongs to Yuki Suou, not even close.. Over 1/4 of the anime of this season has all kinds of sisters, it's insane. Truly the Season of Sisters it's been. Let's just say that SSI has been getting better in the second half, with a nice twist towards the end. It's better to watch it for yourself. Like Gigguk said, it's more of a fun anime, the plot is not too serious (perhaps expectations were too high with Nagatsuki). So my Top 10 of Summer Anime 2024 in general: 1. Su-side Squad Isekai 2. Fun fact: originally Alya sometimes hides her feelings in Russian was suppose to be an isekai. The author said that the concept was the heroine being reincarnated yet speaks her feelings sometimes in Japanese thinking nobody understands her yet the main protagonist is also reincarnated and understands Japanese but doesn't tell her. The author eventually changed it to the anime we see today... Also THANK GOD it got changed to the story we see now instead of just another isekai.

Because he has to be parrying his own braincells in order to not realize how strong he is and not realize that monsters are actual monsters, and not normal animals. I Parry Everything is garbage because of how stupid/dumb the mc is. That Ossan anime is actually really good, despite the fact that they get the names for the characters from the manga wrong.

Basically they don't know his name, and Kira is basically the L/R thing for the Japanese language. It's supposed to be "Killer". The source material actually mentioned it that much.

I watched about 4 episodes of Suicide Squad Isekai and dropped it. DC already has enough universe hopping as it is. Seeing one more with some tropes felt boring and I didn't relate to these iterations of the characters. Granted, I mainly experience comics through arc summaries and video adaptations so my knowledge could be lacking. Fairy Tail has some fun fan service (which is actually one reason it fell just short of being considered Big Three), but I wouldn't suggest starting with 100 Years Quest. It jumps right in without giving much backstory and the member list of the titular guild is huge. It's no One Piece, but there's a little less than 270 canon episodes in the previous series. Overall, I imagine it's a hard sell. That said, I think Adorkable has referenced it so maybe she could fill you in. Of the new stuff, some has stood out but is too early to make a hard recommendation. Failure Frame is doing the betrayed-summoned-hero-seeks-vengeance thing we both seem to have enjoyed. Fresh takes on genres include Quality Assurance In Another World for stuck-in-a-game and Bye Bye, Earth for fantasy. Meanwhile, I'm getting this season's warm fuzzies from A Journey Through Another World: Raising Kids While Adventuring... which is likely not your thing but I enjoy always having a warm fuzzy show on tap. ;) I haven't seen 2.5D and have no opinion.

IIRC, how the fights ended with each of the Ace-Ops go with the Aesop stories. Amusingly, Ruby (and possibly Qrow) were the only ones losing their respective fights.

So... this chapter, we see why Ironwood has infinitely more respect from me over Ozpinhead. Taking his own fights, putting himself at risk for what he wants to protect. Also, as the general and headmaster of a huntsman academy... you shouldn't be surprised he can throw hands. Also, seeing RWBY continue to complain but offer no solutions

Interesting thing... RWBY is good at the deconstructive criticism, but offers no solutions, no workable options, just "you can't do that". I really feel for Ironwood. Very few he can rely on. Almost everyone is either against him, or a subordinate, or both. Not to mention, RWBY proves they are not trustworthy.
