Mono Black Mill - the Nissa stopper | MTG Arena Standard MKM

- A viewer requested that I make a Mono Black Control deck, but I didn’t want to just do the same old Mono Black thing. So I created this Mono Black Mill deck. First, we exile the opponent’s key threats with our many extraction effects (Deadly Cover-Up, The End, Stone Brain). Against some decks, we can make them completely unable to win just like that. But we don’t stop there, we also have a mill plan powered by Realmbreaker and a full 4 copies of Outrageous Robbery. With those, we can fully mill them out (no Jaces necessary, thank you very much) or we just win with all the cards of theirs that we have stolen.
Join me as we bring the most unique mill deck you’ve ever seen to the Ranked ladder!

Milling with Mono Black, that was fun to watch
Well done! You're a Super Fan. Glad you enjoyed it.
When they don't concede after getting their nissas and rages extracted, it means they netdecked and don't realize the deck is dead.
Yeah, that's probably it. "I have 2 Virtues and people always win when they have Virtue, so I'm sure I'll win soon!"
I am trying this at the card shop for our weekly standard tournament. I might add some more shadowy backstreets so i can sb pest control. Also, the Pilfers can now be replaced with binding negotiation.
Thank you!
Sounds great! Let me know how it goes.
Gotta love milling with mono black
Well done, Super Fan here!
Milling with Mono Black.
Thanks for doing these vids! I've been using them as inspiration for my Orzhov Control deck in Pioneer.
Any chance you'd do Explorer vids on Arena?
Nice, you're a Super Fan! I'm glad you've been enjoying them. I do tend to be pretty maniacally focused on Standard, but I sometimes get curious about Explorer/Historic, so I might give it a try sometime soon. @thebigmammoo in particular has been tempting me over with some fun-looking Historic brews lately, so I might try something out.
The kamigawa music goes harder on fast speed! Lol
I really thought the music in general would be unlistenable when sped up, but it's not bad! Though if you go much faster than this it does start getting a little weird.
Milling with monoblack
Nice, you're a Super Fan! Well done!
Immediately I notice the all diff land arts troll😂😂
Also tho if I have a ton of arts I love I've been known to do this
Haha, I'm not even trolling, I _always_ use different land art for each of my basics. There is so much great art for basic lands on Arena! I love to use as much of it as I can. But usually in a 2-3 color deck I don't get to use many, so it's literally my favorite thing about playing a mono color deck, I finally get to use lots of different basic art! It does make for an awkward deck list and deck visual though... 🤣
Awesome
Milling with Mono Black!
Nice, we've got a Super Fan here! Well done.
When OTJ comes out theres a black card that mill 13! Cost 4 mana i believed
I think you're thinking of one of the blue cards from the "Breaking News" bonus sheet
Any upgrade plans with the new set?
@KKMFX I'm not sure. I'd like to upgrade this, but to be honest I haven't seen anything in OTJ that fits well with this (admittedly niche) game plan. Have you spotted any potential improvements?
