- The world of Duel Links is a vast digital landscape that connects all of the animes, in cool and confusing ways. Seriously-Celina from Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V squared off against Weevil Underwood from the original Duel Monsters. Also the characters from Vrains went exploring to the core of Duel Links where new worlds hadn’t yet been created and caught glimpses of characters from other worlds like Yami Yugi and Yusei Fudo. And if that wasn’t enough confusion, there are a bunch of cards and a zillion different methods of obtaining them. Some are easy. Some are very not. This video’s going to collate some easily accessible Normal and Rare staples that can be useful in any deck, and get excited to miss even more cards when you fall asleep, because this list is a special one! We’re talking about 25 cards instead of the usual 10, so buckle up. The KaibaCorp airship to Duel Monsters greatness embarks now.

Well, there are missing a few good low rarity cards.
1. Cloak and Dagger, a good trap to lock your opponent from doing the combo, it requires knowledge.
2.Time-Space Trap Hole, excellent trap to return boss monsters with targeting protection.
3. Amaze Attraction Thrill Train, basically Fiend Griefing and Farfa in one card.
4. Amaze Attraction Horror House, Book of Moon, but as a trap card.
5. Fiend Griefing in combination with Farfa for a free mill, disruption from GY plays, and a banish.

3:35 lol, I do indeed use Recycle as well. It's my fav [for as long as I can remember of owning it as a child] of the continuous spells subset of spells. And nowadays I pair it with Jar of Avarice, Pot of Avarice, and The Transmigration Prophecy
you only need jar of avarice and transmigration of prophecy to infinitely loop anything in your graveyard. why play recycle?
I run a Darkmetals deck AND a Pyro/Machine deck with Bowganian, in Duel Links and LOD:LE. Stoked to see it make the list!
I can confirm that I use Leotron, Avram, and Mystery Shell Dragon quite often in my Decks, particularly in any deck that needs Normal Monsters or have a theme that's fitting for them.
I also use Eco in any deck I make that's Plant-focused.
3:12 gunkam was my first completed and consistent deck that i had in duel links, because he was so cheap to build that i had no problems to get the necessary cards.

As very old casual player i still use potg for most decks if possible it fantastic to protect and boost bosses from any destruction until the opponent is forced to waste a good card to remove it.
15:49 Fun fact: Despite showcasing Canon Solider upgrading itself, this card CAN’T be used to summon “Cannon Soldier MK-2”, as the OG Canon Soldier is DARK instead of EARTH…

Why is Angel Trumpeteer both a Normal and and Effect monster? Just look at that proxy.
I remember something like that would happen to cards' types in Legacy of the Duelist if you used an effect to make something a tuner. Suddenly it'd be both Effect and Normal.

Keep in mind that old cards like security orb can be crafted by using box chips, so no you don't need to open those really old and bad packs to get a card that you want from it.

+ u can get cards from the 1st mini box in 2019
6:57 the reason Konami didn't change some cards is because they were released before they started having burn damage. And the only one to my knowledge they changed was lava golem because it was consistently a problem card. But every card from before got to keep the full burn damage, while all that were released after did not.
How tf did you not mention World Legacy clash(literal staple in every deck and even made it onto the banlist); aloof lupine (staple inTD and also got semi limited); swap cleric(saw brief play in mekk knight);Lunalight crimson fox(got limited for its use in Neos);Storm(still limited to this day);needlebug nest(30 card shiranui list that got grass banned, also still limited);volcanic shell(used in invoked neos, a tier 1 deck during whichcrafter format);number 18 ...(during harpie format was found in every extradeck;alghul mazera(was briefly tier 1 in zombies played at 3 copys not long ago);give and take (got limited dou to degenerate combos where on would lock their opponent with ras desciple, a fun gimmick playable in neos);electric virus(saw brief play in side decks but could also be maindecked);crystal seer (very early duellinks). I left out a lot of cards that are archetype specific like harpies, tenyis, mekk knight, hero, orcust, lightsworn, luna light, chrystron and cards that are character rank up rewards. anyways love the duellinks content please give me more..
also you forgot to mention that the main deck that used world legacy guardragon mardark was Lightsworn world legacy fortress. a deck centered around milling world wand to summon mardark, or to use world chalice to search for the trap that reborns 2 guys back on the field.. the deck was never tiered but imo the most play the card ever saw.
To be fair, a number of these aren't exactly staples, but generally speaking I agree with your sentiments. List feels a bit outdated.
Would love to see a new top 10 list of cards that are limit 1/banned in duel links that are useless in the TCG like "give and take" and "massivemorph". I know you did a similar one a while back but revisiting it could be cool
Crimson Nova the Dark Cubic Lord's Burning effect is half of the original in Duel Links. The original, each player takes 3000 of Burn Damage. In Duel Links, each player takes 1500 of Burn Damage.

Fun fact: Back when Security orb was released Enemy Controller (E-Con lol) was no doubt the most versatile and useful staple that was only acquired by fighting Kaiba, and it's drop rate was downright shitty. This was before you had those guarateed SR and UR tickets/coupons. Also Harpies Hunting Ground was a bit too strong before the nerfs came to Mai's skill.
Security Orb was the best budget option as a rare for an E-con/Sphere-bola that doubled as a counter for Harpies Hunting Ground

Is that effect negated, or does it not negate that effect or any other effect it might have( i have an idea on the answer, i just want to make sure there isnt some weird ruling involving this interaction)

Is there an online simulator that has every card in it that doesn't paywall cards that allows users to play both ranked and unranked matches using any card they want (even including tiers like allowing banned cards)? Like a YuGiOh version of Pokemon Showdown.
Most of these cards haven't been seen in ages.....if at all. Funny enough, Summon Breaker is an honorable mention but that card IS in a tier 1 deck right now that ends on a board of Masterflare Hyperion, Pluto, Infernoble Knight Charles plus a handtrap like Herald of Green Light or Artifact Lancea. Could very well be banned and the banlist announcement could be any moment now. And it's been a counterpick card for a while now.
And they surely did limit Green Light and Summon Breaker plus Ancient Fairy Dragon lol
Was about to say this. Summon Breaker is a strong floodgate to put at the end the end of the turn almost any deck can fit and Cup of Ace one of the most common cards and abusable enough to get Limited. Sorciere de Fleur from Striker Expansion might be a contender at this point since it's only R but it's gotten the Eternal Bond/Battle Chronicle treatment this week. It might get nerfed, but it'll be really funny if it doesn't.
